That makes me sad. My buddy got tius tickets to Saturdays game in Vancouver. Upper bowl, $175. I just cant afford it. I will save my pennies for the chance next round in Detroit vs. Vancouver.

I believe regardless of economy, it will take a handful of missed playoffs to realize to how fortunate us wings fans have truly been. I can admit, I became a Wings fan in mid 90's due to one Stevey Y. I have never known anything but success (despite a handful of early playoff exits.) But I know there are a lot of people round LGW's who saw the Wings of the 70's and 80's. They know what its like, they understand. And inevitably, in time, I assume the rest of us will too.

So I went through the thread, noticed all the discussion about TSN2 converage ect. Does anyone now if TSN does live streaming like CBC? Anyway, if anyone finds anything for the game ( I live in BC), let all know.

I will take Alexei Yashin. I would love to say Jagr, but I'm not quite that good. But as for Yashin, well, I have a world of talent, but ... I seldom show up to my capability and only under my conditions. So, if you generous, Jagr, if not so much, Yashin.

To be honest, I have thought about this before. It is so strange how Detroit has been hands down, the best scouting team in the league for so long. As a consistantly high ranked team, we never get top picks, therefor are forced into searching reallyhard for gems. But for all the amazing talent we have found, goalies some how elude us. I think that it was some of us love Ozzie so much. Because as much as he pisses us off at times, he is our own. And around Detroit for netminders, thats rare.

I just got home, this might have been mentioned, but I recall last year at this exact moment was the greatest jumping of ship on LGW's I have ever seen. A handful of ppl basically were calling Holland out for doing nothing (Stuart hadn't gone through yet) hahaha, and well, look how last year turned out. Anyway, carry on.

Yeah, sometimes Cherry somes some pretty stupid things, but he brings something to TV which is rare today, genuine spontanity. Even with the cluster*uck of reality TV, (they are more than scripted) Cherry is entertaining, cuz he is structured, he isnt refined. He is just genuine. He might be a genuine ass hole, but its real.

I am a Wing fan, we all are, and yeah the fight you are talking about was definatly questionable. But come one, do you think no red wing has ever got the jump on a guy, or thrown a low blow in a scrum!? Youtube Dirty Red wings, and I'm sure something will come up. I dont doubt that the guy, "loves to score," and truth be told, most of the time I get pumped on his enthusiasm, but even in the heat of the moment/game, there can be times for restraint. There was a post the other week about why Ovie will never be the face of the NHL that sid is. And it mentioned a game, I believe against Boston where AO scored the 5th goal in a 5-0 game. ... and he celebrated by bouncing off the glass. It can be said for many things, it was in the heat of the moment and I go caught up and jsut did it ... hits, slashing, and I guess celebrations can be added. But it doesnt take that much thought to simply said, maybe I should hold back this time.

Just wanted to chime in and send out my appreciation for the Brits and Aussies having a laugh. I like to see that. I'm on reading break, and Actually reading! Sucks and i need a laugh. Guess I better say something relevant. ... umm, way to go Hoss, just dont hurts your precious hands.
