I have confidence the Wings canbeat anyone, but I have flashes of how the games went this season against San Jose.

Me, as I was called up last minute for game 7 of the Cup Finals and got 2 goals in the 3rd and the OT winner.

God do I hope that is the case. Of course I want Dats to contniue to be hot tonight. I'd like Z to get one. (its funny, it has only been two games back, but I'm like ... come on Z, you can do it!) But on top of them, I'd like to see Bert and his line really have a solid game ... Couple big hits, a goal, maybe even a whole meal of food. And the 4th line, I've been so impressed (as with most ppl) especially with Filp. Keep it up guys.

I have an exam at 2pm (pacific time) so the first games will be going by the time I am back. I mentioned it above and asked the question in the Wings GDT .... but thought I would throw it out here too. I live in BC, so I think my TV will be getting the Nucks game instead of the Flames vs. Wings. So does naybody no if there is an online streaming of this game? I checked the CBC website, is shows the Sens vs. Pens, but nothing for ours. Any ideas would be great, talk to you peeps tonight. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi ... you're my only hope.

I have no problem with the shootout in regular season play ... it is kinda fun ... and does somewhat eliminate boring finals minutes where teams are playing for a tie. But hell no to playoffs switching. Sudden Death OT is one of the things that makes the NHL playoffs so special.

Aggghhhh!!!! It has just occured to me that the Red WIng game might be blocked where I live with the Cancuks game being on. Nooooo!!! I may have to go find a pub ... but I have an exam in the morning. This is some cruel joke. Has anyone watched any of the games so far on the CBC web feed? Because the CBC scheduel is covering the Wings game, (except in BC) so perhaps I could get it online. Or any other online source ... I live in Canada so I dont think I can use Yahoo. Anyone have any idea's?

I am cheering for Shanny and Jagr in NY. Though, with this being Atlanta's very first every playoff series, it would be nice ... for the good of the game if they could win 1. Please, Wild, make somewhat a series of this one. Ottawa to hold of the Pens. Dallas takes down the nucks. I'd rather it happen it the 5th overtime, but seeing as how Van seems so damn good in OT ... i dont know if that will happen. So just to be safe, Dallas wins by 2. Question for anybody in Western Canada ... will CBC be showing the Nucks game ... or the Wings vs. Flames game?

^^^ I cant say for sure ... but I dont think this was Bettmans idea. I know in the hockey world, most love to point at that little weasle and blame him for everything that is wrong with hockey. It was Fox sports if I do recall. I'm sure they had to pass it by the NHL, but it waasn't his idea. Glowing pucks, streamline jerseys, rule changes ... some will come, some will go, some will stay. Not everything is going to work, nor will it appeal to everyone. But sports will change, just like everything else, or they will fade and be popular only to a handful of oldtimers.

I had a feeling that was going to happen. I wasn't totally 100% aware of his status before last game, but I thought after gettin hammered in game 1, they might clear him to come back for a game 2 boost. A little to early me thinks. Even though it woulda bin nice to have Bert back for game 1/2 ... perfect example of why I am glad we waited. Fortunatley we are the ones winning so we really have that liberty.

I am really excited for this game. I hope they start coverage a few mins before puck drop cuz I wanted to see the Calgary fans and their response. I imagine it will be crazy loud. And I really want someone to shut them up early. I hope Z gets one. I know a huge debate among LGW'rs about Bert but I want him in. If he is ready to go, he must play. I agree with most, it should be sammy who sits, but if it means Huds, then so be it. Play hard, keep the momentum on our side!

Oh god, mcgoo in San Jose ... with the way that series has been, there will be no less than 13,000 penalties issued.

I know its inevitable that the deeper we go, eventually an overtime will come our way, but I wonder if we will ever have one of those 2,3 extra period games this year. And how will we fair. I think we could be decent basewd on the fact we can play all lines. However, it did seem this year like we weren't that great at OT's this year.

I agree ... a lot of hockey ppl are traditionalists. But I think it is important for the sport to evolve. But as for the glowing puck, I think it was just a silly technology item, that made the sport look more like lazer-tag or star wars than hockey. That being said, with new tv systems etc. As mentioned above, an on/off option might be able to revive it.
