As you guys said. Our division hasn't been as strong as league average and it is nice to have that competition. With competition comes passion, both on the ice, and in the stands. Just going back over the past few months and looking at how many threads were made regarding the Preds in someone. We have a divisional rival, and a playoff round will only amplify it. (of course we will win, but you get the indea) What was that about Virginia Tech University? I'll check the news. I can't confirm that is the exact reason, but I know he loved Steve even before he was with Detroit. He made a comment on an interview about him and the Wings in the 80's. He talked about how Detroit didn't have a good team, but he still went to the game because he knew Stevie would put on a show.

I'll side with you. I hate Tootoo, think he is a mad crazy chump, yet I'd never wish that upon anyone. Sure, I'd like him to smarten up and perhaps focus a little more on the game of hockey than the ultimate fighting championships ... but if he did that, he probably wouldn't have a job. That being said, some of the stuff he does (he is not alone) is not acceptable and they have to smarten up.

They are Nucks fans, and personally I think Van is faaar more defensive than Detroit. I am holding firm in my arguement, but I need some reenforced support. That was exactly what I thought was the real problem. If people had the option and were able to turn it on and off, I think it would have been a far greater success. For people ust starting to watch the sport, in non-traditional hockey markets, it might be easier for them to follow the game. Not my thing, but if by choice, there might be some who would go with it.

I have been looking for a commercial from that era. Kinda stupid molson commercial, but it kinda summed up the majority of the populations feelings towards the system. A man with a southern ( i believe) accent is in a meeting with some hockey executives. He explains he they down south they are having problems following the puck, so they want to introduce the glow puck. It then shows some examples, but the sequence ends with him being launched from the board room being trailed by the glowing streak. I will keep looking for it.

exactly. if recent years have taught us anything ... its that no series, matter the score or opponent should be taken lightly.

That is one of the few series' that i have no interest in. ... and yeah, you are right, very boring.
