Ruutu pisses me off so much cuz he just does nothin other than be annoying. Atleast some aggitators like Tucker and Avery can back themselves up with a fight if need be. But Ruutu will face wash etc. but come fight time, he took his lessons from ol' Claude and turtles. Period 3 starting in Atlanta. Avery was just stopped on a brief breakaway.

I'll admit I suppose it looked a little funny, but I'd rather take a puck to my padded glove, than directly to my chops. Dumb statement my Cherry.
-
My Top 3 - In no particular order - Ruutu, Tootoo, Pronger
-
Ruutu, god to I hate that guy. One of my most hated in the league.
-
They better not. He has been great. All round too.
-
Nice pass. Alfredson Scores. 2-1.
-
That was a slightly more obvious bump that cleary's the other night.
-
Seems like a very fast period. Few stops. Just go - go - go.
-
Alfredson has been damn inpressive in the start of this series. Strong plays, hitting, seems like he just really has his head in the perfect spot and wants to win. 4-show.
-
Is that all the members of the late night crew in attendance? haha. Late night, and early mornin', well I suppose it is afternoon now.

Being Canadian, there are times when his patriotism is nice, but yeah, it gets very wearing why he talks baout us as the only talented players with heart. His arguement for Staal to get rookie of the year over Malkin nearly killed me.
-
Seems to be a hell of a lot of knee-dragging in this game. Someones gunna get hurt. Spezza!!! Scores. 1-1.
-
Especially if their last name is Staal.

I have actually been really impressed with sid out there. There was that one shift (probably more) where he took 4-5 hits and actually was able to significantly win the battle on a few of them. *sorry for the double post.

I was actually really impressed with him out there. There was that one shift (probably more than 1 actually) but he took 4-5 hits and on 2 of them was able to significantly win the battle. Nice.

It does suck. I mean, truth be told, the extra rest can only be good for him. So that when he does return he will be tip-top. But I have a feeling with the way game 1 went and ended, it is going to be rough. So we probably coulda used that size and strength. It's on you Lilja.

Good to see you again. Get any sleep? Haha. Yeah, nice pass, but no one readin' it.

joing in a few late. Hey, with the Pens comin out so much faster for this start, you guys think this is gunna be more like Calgary tomorrow morning?

To those who were able to remain 100% confident in Dats all the way ... good on ya. I really like Dats, and there have been a few times when I have gone to bat for the guy, but there have also been times when I was frustrated to hell with him. I was very worried about this summer and UFA that we were going to lose him for nothing, and then the other week the big contract kinda made me uneasy. I just wasn't sure that he was going to be able to bring it. And while it has only been one game, he was excellent and I give him props for that. I think him and Hank are going to be a deadly force this playoffs. So a pat on the back to Pav and one to all those who had his back, even in the toughest times.

I havent watched a whole lot of the series to date. Just bits as I flip during intermission. It seems frustrating but I think I would still like to see Nashville win the series. Simply based on how San Jose man-handled us this year. Dont get me wrong, I think we can beat anyone, but I like our odds a little better with Nashville. Not to mention, I am enjoying finally having a legit divisional rival. It would be cool to square-off in the playoffs. (again) And as for loving Tootoo on our team. No I wouldn't. I dont care for te guy at all. There are several aggitators from around the league that I hate, but would love on my team. But there are also some I hate and wouldn't want anywhere near a Red Wing jersey, and Tootoo falls into that category.

Ooh, haha, I ask that then I scroll down to see ... official member of LGW late night crew. Yeah, I wish it was 100 deg. or, what is that 35ish cel. But aside from the Canadian bias on TSN (i'm not sure if you can ever see it where you are) it is nice to have Roenick on there. I generally think the guy is some what of a tool, but he has been great this past week. Gives a very different opinion on a lot of stuff. And Yes, an American opinion. And it is kinda nice, just simply a change of pace from what I am used to seeing. I think it is the best way to do things. Have guys on both side of the fence. Basically just like you and I. If everyone gave the exact same response everytime, it would get boring rather quickly.

Dammit. I'm trying to avoid it. I guess it comes naturally in the system when living next to the states your entire life. I really dont mean to. I think I am pretty balanced. I think by me saying I would go to bat for americans if canucks talk smack is pretty bold. I cant say what it is like living in th states or how fans treat their teams. Yes a ton of Canadian cheer for teams in Canada, and many simply because they are Canadian. We love the game, we are proud that we are good at it, and I suppose some ppl just want to see a cup here. I personally dont see the difference. If any team in the states wins the cup, 1/4 to 1/2 the players are usually canadian. So I apologized for my first retalition, and I will agree that I understand where you are coming from, but I just think it shouldn't be said. BTW - isnt it like 5:30 am on the east coast?
-
Well, I dont know how physical he can be, but I sure he hope he can put a certain defenceman in his place.
-
Your last part was right. I worded it to make it something I often hear Canadian say about americans. And yeah, you are right, Espn has a lot but forgot about hockey (if they were ever really interested) So, sorry if you thought I was putting words in your mouth, I was just trying to flip it to what might be said on the other foot. Look, so this doesn't seem like a total dick, I will apologize for the blind rage response. I cheer for the Red Wings, and it is a tough thing to do when living in Canada. I would never pick a team (except perhaps at the Olympics) based on nationality. I love the players that are on the team and what they accomplish. My arguement on the nationalism thing would go up against any american who spoke bad of a canadian, or any canadian who spoke ill of an american without just cause. I know your response wasnt directly based at a canadian, only at how we sometimes feel we have to gaurd our teams simply because they are on this side of the border. (thats what I thought your meaning was anyway. You are right, this is a hockey forum. But occasionally the lines of sport and nationalism cross. It was blurred into one the moment this post was started.

Agreed. The fact that they got 3 goals might distort how badly they actually were beaten. Only for about 14 seconds during the entire game did they amount an pressue. Ottawa looked great and the Pens looked confused. Ours was pretty solid too. I was really excited to see us hitting and beating Calgary to the loose pucks. Filp got a big A+ from me. Wicked game.
