Oh god. I love how patriotic he is, but geez, how will this go. I am gunna love to see the outcom eof this.

Wow. Umm, Lidstrom beginning to finish. Shocker. Zetterberg was unreal until he was hurt. Datsyuk really stepped up when 'Z' was out. And Hasek. After last years disaster, and his signing this summer, many were skeptical, but he has been great. Tough call. Dats and 'Z' were great, but in different stints. But beginning to end, Hasek and Lidstrom were dominant. Give it to them.

Nice. Detroit and Buffalo the two # 1's are the only teams to be selected across the board. Though ... what happened to be an underdog this year? haha.

Good show. I'm just gettin' so stoked for the playoffs. Its frustrating not knowing ever detail about our team, but it is only 2 days away now.

So who will win the Stanley Cup (according to TSN) Ottawa vs. Ducks = Ducks Ottawa vs. Wings = Wings Buffalo vs. Ducks = Buffalo Buffalo vs. Wings = Buffalo San Jose vs. Buffalo = San Jose

Some Additional Playoff Notes: The 2 previous season finalists not in playoffs!!! No Montreal, No Toronto No Sakic When will Ovechkin get to make his debut? Still a frustratin system with 3rd seed in West and East having less points than 4th and 5th seeds, yet ranked higher over-all due to divisional champ rankings.

Ducks vs. Wild - Similar PP numbers - Ducks - 2 good goalies - giguere needs to regain number 1 - Backstrom - very strong finish - #1 G/A (though less games than others) - Ducks - strong offense, Selannie, McDonald - Wild - Gaborik, Demitra, Rolston - 5 - 20 goal scorers - Ducks - Strong Defense - Wild - Defensive game - Ducks - VERY physical - far stronger TSN picks Ducks 5 Wild 0 I thought it would have been a little more even too. Nashville won the season series didn't they? 3-1 I think. I think this will be a great series.

San Jose vs. Nashville - Big Series, too very strong teams!!! - Difference has a devestating PP - 2nd best - San Jose - Strong role players, strong, forechecking, defensive - Nashville must counter these strengths - Thornton - 54 PP points - Mason/Vokoun - on a short-leash can Vokoun be what he was before injury - Nabokov - great down the stretch, but has solid backup's. - Forsberg - playoff monster, can he payback for the trade? - hasn't had a great year, but injuries have slowed him - Thornton - great regular season - still needs a big playoff performance - 114 pts. - He is BIG!!! can put up points, but can hit - Princess has only 1 goal in last 12 games. Ooops, Kariya - TSN Picks SJ 5 Nash 0

Red Wings vs. Flames - Kipper - up and down all season - very strong finish though - typical 1 vs. 8 round - Different than 04' - Flames - pound Detroit physically - wear Detroit down - must be careful against powerful Detroit offense - they want to play 5 on 5 - Kipper - prove run in 04' was no fluke - Hasek - still playing strong at 42 - Dom ******* and complains more than anyone in the league, can be knocked off his game - stay healthy ... and in stay in the net?! Calgary - lost final 4 games of season - very bad away from Calgary this year - Dmac says if they play the same as at the end, it will be short series Dats - leading goal scorer, but his playoff past. Ouch If 8 upsets 1, Can it happen again? Iginla - very strong season, even with injury ... and he is Iginla. Can do it all. -apparentley no one fights on Detroit. (hello ... Lilja) Zetterberg - if he cant come back, HUGE loss!!! Injuries can be rough!!! - on both teams. Regher, Zetterberg, Bert. TSN Picks Detroit 5 Calgary 0

Canucks vs. Stars Goalies with something to prove - Luongo - 1st experience (dont think that will make a difference) - Turco - bad playoff past (may make a difference) - Stars killed off 25 straight PP into the playoffs - They are very similar in all stats - Spilt series - very low scoring teams for playoff teams, 2nd and 3rd lowest (next to NJ) - Special Teams will play a huge role - Both teams should be healthy with most ready to go right away - Sedin's - really strong season - what about post season? - The 'go to' guys - Van very strong since christmas - Should be a physical series - TSN Picks - Stars 3 Van 2
-
Monkey Picks Ottawa vs. Pens = Pens Islanders vs. Buffalo = Buffalo NJ vs. Tampa = NJ NYR vs. Atlanta = Atlanta

Devils vs. Lightning - Very 1 sided goaltending battle - BRODEUR!!! vs. Holmquist - Can Richards step up a so-so season to his Conn Smyth performance 2 years back - Gomez, Big contract - no production - Vinny and St. Louis - Score tons of goalsin season , will it continue in the post season? - New Jersey - Still Very tight 'D' - take very few penalties, may impact Tampas Offense TSN pick - Tampa 2 NJ 3
-
NY Rangers vs. Thrashers - Both goalies playing strong - Lehtonon - fast hands - Lundquist - most minutes, best save %, all that good stuff since all-star break - Jagr - got injured last playoffs and the series was over - He is healthy and playing like his old self -Avery - going to drive Thrashers nuts - Atlanta- Hossa is the key guy - Kovalchuk - He is playing for the team, not himself - TSN picks Atlanta 1 Rangers 4
-
Buffalo vs. Islanders cont. - Briere - potential playoff MVP - TSN Picks - Buffalo
-
Buffalo vs. Islanders - Buffalo 7 20 goal scorers, last two teams with that many, have won cup (including 02' wings) - Millers save % isn't great especially lately - But Buffalo great at scoring - Ted Nolan - get most out of players who havent worked with other teams - Islanders goalie - (haha, cant spell the name) can he keep up with Buffalo's offense? - Buffalo weekness, - not that physical
-
yeah, i will try. Pisses me off too when someone else gets a show
-
Pens vs. Sens. cont. - Crosby, at 19 can he adapt to playoff game? - They think he can, no question - Ottawa wasn't as strong this year, as past years, but overcame a lot of challenges they havent had to face - The Roberts impact - Sens still choked they didnt get him at deadline - can he be a difference - Analysts pick Ottawa 5 Pens 0
-
Pens vs. Sens - Season series to Pitts - Crosby held to 1 goal, 4 ppoints - Ottawa experienced, only 1 none-playoff player - Pens have 9 newbies - Sens have bad playoff history - Edge given to Emery in net - Fluery, has yellow pads *havent found a feed, but I will keep you up to date, best i can

I think she has had better averages then most analysts in the past. Which thread are we doing for the TSN show, this or the other?
-
I just watched the TSN top 10 plays of the year. I am VERY impressed with the #1 spot. I thought for sure sid had it, but it went to the Dallas star missing the empty net to Edomonton scoring. Though I was really disappointed that the combo Markov hit with the Datsyuk goal wasn't on the list. It was an unreal sequence.
-
Haha ... monkey. Yeah, I'm excited for the show.
-
I generally agree with you. As in the thread a few weeks back where he came up I mentioned that he recoginized that his talent was fading and to stay in focus he made a new step - to try to be entertaining. And generally, he fails. He is a brutal actor, cant sing (even though he try's) and is an even worse dancer. He does a have a personailty yes, but he is like that drunk unlce you are embarressed of at family functions. But today, some of his comments were well made and the joke about hockey on the US show was pretty good.

The Wings better shut these guys up!
arnoldbuck replied to Zetterberg is the man!!'s topic in General
Because even though those teams were the years Cinderella story, we were blatantly better than them. Yet we lost. We were the team that should have won the series, (more so than any other team they came against) and they still won. Thats why it goes like that. I am not callin' it this year. I think we have everything to make it this year (minus Steve obviously) btu I think we can do it. - I know we can!
