Shanny scored in the Ranger game. 2-1 for the NYI over teh Rangers in teh 2nd.

I know, killing me. I have to believe that the desperation of playoffs will help. Plus the return of Z. And hopefully the Joe's sellout will Actually be sold out. Get the fans really into it!

Sammy still gettin some PP love eh? I suppose with Schneids out, but his shots are hardly anything in comparison.
-
Well assumed Zetta was with you.
-
Be honest, haha.

I hate Roenick being on TV or film. The guy was smart enough to recoginze his skills were done so tried to branch into something else ... but being entertaining - he ain't. I get emberassed when watching him try to be funny or act. Brutal.
-
Haha, my brothers too. I worked with Mark for the week where they were filming the opening segments of the film. Rough Start to this game. That makes me a sad panda.
-
haha, i can hear the booing over the radio-feed when feds is on.
-
Haha, long 5-3, sweet.
-
Haha, well I'm showing it off. I actually got an extra roll in the movie. Went and watched it the other week and I'm in a handfull of different shots, with a couple of face shots. Cut out the lines, but funny to see none the less. Amazing how they can edit down near a full weeks work to second though.

A few big games determing who we are playing first round tonight to eh? I was just looking at the scoreboard for tonight. There is Minn vs. Edm. - Probably a Win for the WIld Cal vs. Col. - Who know's, the Av's really started bringing it on, but the Flames are getting in good playoff shape too. Also in the East there is Buffalo vs. Pitts. - Lots of talent. Is Afiniganov back yet? Could also be a big game for the Presidents Race. Oh, and I suppose I should also say that Nashville is playing, not that anyone here didnt know that. But still, big night of games for final standings.

I used to agree with that, but after seeing our Reebok practice jerseys in black, I think they are pretty cool. I was one person who was never against the idea of 3rd jerseys, but like most i just hated some of the 3rds they came out with. Iknow it has been hashed on about a million LGW threads, but if they ever do bring back 3rd's into the NHL, and Detroit does decide to do one, I would be down if it was kept simple. Dont go crazy, changing the logo or anything, but something along the above mentioned might be cool. Other than some of them looking retarded, I am not sure why the NHL is getting rid of 3rd jerseys. Everyone says Bettman just wants to keep finding additional sources of revenue ... and cutting out product is not the way to do it. There are 'some' 3rd jerseys around the league which are incrdeibly popular with their fans.

Thanks, you just made my day. You know, if our teams worst problem was having Lang in the lineup, ... We would have an 81-0-1 record. Tons of bigger problems. For all the Lang haters ... you can rest, we all know odds are he will be gone after this season. Even though we haven't won cups since his arrival a few years back, Lang has played exceptionally well in his Playoff stints with the wings.

I agree with it. I know most people on LGW's are very pro-Steve, and not necccessarily anti-Wayne, but when push comes to shove... we know who would win. I stand right in the middle. When I was very, very young Wayne was my hero, but as I got older Steve became my main man. But Wayne revolutionized the NHL like no other person before or since. Regardless of what teams he played on, the league and the teams that are in it own a lot to the Great One. - the number 99 became more than just his number, it became a symbol. ... and just for a second, imagine if someone were to come along and decide to wear #99, the goy woukd be destroyed but every fan, reporter and critic out there..

I think we should expand the NHL into Mexico.
-
Well then we are screwed when we play the "Calgary Lets take 7 shots, score one goal and shut-er-down Flames" But I do like to see Dom being able to handle the work load.

Hahaha. I saw the title of this post and I got soooo angry! I was ready to come on here guns-a-blazin' ready for a war. Haha. Anyway, very cool, but yes ... costly.

I really, really like the Dats, Z and Homer line. Just they all bring something so special to the ice and when together are dominating. Thing is, with our new players, and flashes or greatness coming from other direction I have no clue how I would like to see our full roster look. There have been a few good line-ups earlier in this post. I suppose it is only a matter of days now before Z is back and we have the results.

Sorry I am not entirely sure how to make a link. Hopefully ... http://www.nhl.com/cup/dynasties.html Anyway. Under NHL.com the have a section called 'Countdown to the Quest.' And in that there is a section on Dynasties. They have NHL teams from the formation of the league right up to the 1984-1990 Oilers. But what suprises me is that the Red Wings (of the 90's -2000's) get no love. The modern game is much different than it used to be, and with free agency, and big name contracts moving in one direction and another, I believe it is much harder these days to keep a core group together and for a team to stay on top for an extended period of time. But for any fan of the Wings, or even fans of the game of hockey in general, it is pretty straight forward everything the Wings have accompished over the last 10-12 years. I don't know if the NHL just doesn't see it as a big deal to add teams to that list, but I truly think the Detroit Red Wings basically from 1995 onward deserve the dynasty title. I know a lot of what a Dynasty is based on is simply Championship titles ... and if that is all it goes by, then fair enough. Our group from 1997-2002 with 3 cups in 6 years. But if it can be based on more than just championship titles, I think the stats and numbers below speak loud and clear about the Detroit Red Wings modern Dynasty. Stanley Cup Champions - 1997, 1998, 2002 Stanley Cup Finalist - 1995 Presidents Trophy Winner - 1995, 1996, 2002, 2004,2006 16 Straight Years in the Playoffs 7 Straight 100+ Point Seasons (2000-2007) 1995-1996 Season - 62 Wins, 131 Points (remember that one is before Shootouts were put in!) 2005-2006 Seasin - 58 Wins, 124 Points Memorable Players: Steve Yzerman, Nicklas Lidstrom, Brendan Shanahan, Sergei Fedorov, Vladimir Konstantinov, Igor Larionov, Darren McCarty, Kris Draper, Chris Osgood, Dominik Hasek, Mike Vernon, Brett Hull, Chris Chelios (I am sure there are more names that could have been added to that roster, but I just used the first ones that came to mind) (as well, there are probably more stats and records that could have been added to the above - but again, I listed simply the most noticable and memorable ones) All in all, let me know what ya think.

It his hard be me to decide what I want here. Do I want Vancouver to lose...YES. Or do I want Calgary to be limping into the playoffs (not hot) in the event we have to play them. Well ... both. Dammit. Can both teams lose in this sport, haha.
-
In the article in mentions Lids. Was there any point in the game the other night where it occured? He is out for just 1 game right? Not gunna turn into 3-4. . Get better to both of them.
-
Congrats to him. Though it was a brutal goal. Funny little spin and a deflection in. I must say I am suprised with how Ovechkin's scoring has slowed this season...though I suppose Wash did trade off a lot at the deadline.

Weak. Lame. Weak.

To be honest, I kinda would have liked to see him or Thornton or Jagr (though Jagr dropped a while back) win the overall scoring championship this year. I know Crosby will be so hard to be over the coming years ... I just thought it would have been cool to see the vet's hold it for one more year. Just to say... "your time is so, just no yet." Oh well, good season by them all.

Yeah, they are. 7th I think. And beating Carolina 4-2 in 3rd right now.
