Weak!!! I responded earlier, talking about how I got the chance to play with some rather talented NHLers and nobody responded in jealousy!!! Dammit!!! Oh well, I just made some lady connections in the Okanagan, and apparently, (according to bartenders) many-a-Red Wing, Including, the Hollands's locate there in the summer. And While, it is a little late for this year, perhaps with my gift of the gab, and previous connections, and can get a summmer skate at Prospera Place in Kelowna with a few of our crew.

I had a similar episode a few years back. I live in Kamloops (B.C.) and a lot of former Blazers (WHL, Junior) come back to the area in the summer. In early August I had been helping run a hockey school. After the kids left I was on the Ice just messing around and one of the trainers for the junior team came out and said if I didn't have plans I should hang around and play with the next group. Sure enough I did. A lot of the players were Blazers, but among the other players on the ice were Iginla, Doan, Recchi, Brewer and Sydor. It was pretty cool. Though Brewer did rub me out pretty hard on one rush. It is one of those funny things though. I have always considered myself a very good player, but that day, I was going near full tilt just to try to keep up with these guys who were in summer (pre-training camp mode).

I was just about to say that. When I watched them in Van in 02. (regular season) They held the puck in the offensive zone for 2 straight minutes. It was unreal.

You cant switch Edmonton and Chicago. The top 3 seeds go to division winners, and Chicago is in our division. So best case scenario for them is to get fourth.

Looking at the opposite side of this, I can only laugh at Vancouver. They pretty much Need Sundin to take their offer now. Without him, yikes, that is a sad, sad squad. Bobby Lu cant be happy with how the team standing in front of him is shaping up to look next year.

I'll miss the guy. Amongst himself, Feds, and Shanny, ... they are pretty much the last of the Greats I remember from my childhood. I always loved watching him play. I know a lot of people gave him flack at times, but none the less, he was one of the most talented players ever. Best of luck in Russia.

I have always liked Mats. Now, I understand I have a Wings bias (as most of us do) but I think this UFA will show me a lot about Mats' character. That $7 million number has been thrown around, but I wonder if he will sign for that much, or if he will take less, to play on a contender. Obviously in each conference there are a small handfull of teams with the potential. His signing may show if he is in it with good money and a great shot at the cup, or great money and a good shot at the cup.

I think it is awesome to see this exposure. Keep it up. As much as some people hate the NHL in those markets, I want them to succeed. (perhaps I am wanting them to stay so in 35 years when I retire I can relocate somewhere warm and still watch hockey)

I actually played with him and Doan tonight. And even though I'm pretty close with the family, I dont think I'd take Syd. I dunno, if Stu is gone, we definatley have to fill the gap, but I dont think Daryl is the answer.

Interesting move by tsn (ctv) i suppose good for them. THough, not sure how I feel exactly. But I strongly approve of the kick in the teeth to cbc for being morons. I think what I will miss most though is while that song is playing, and the clips are rolling across the screen, they showed Stevey twice. And I always liked those two together.

Oh the things that have happened to that cup over the years. I recall when Tampa one it, and a family friend who played for that team, (he also palyed on the Pens squad this year, haha) brought the cup home. After his night with the cup, he was freaking out because he didnt know where it was, and where was it ... ... at the bottom of the pool! hahaha.
