Why is there so much hate flowing right now? haha. I tried to make the switch of convo topic to the current standings and how exciting it all is with it coming down the wire. Oh well.

So with that here is the teams fighting for the last spots in the West, and our potential round one opponents. Rank Team G/R W L OTL Points 6 - Calgary Flames 4 40 28 10 90 7- Colorado Avs 3 42 31 6 90 8 - Nashville Preds 3 39 31 9 87 9 - Vancouver Canucks 4 38 30 10 86 10 - Edmonton Oilers 2 40 34 6 86 Notes: Calgary - All of Calgarys remaining games are on the road and the play Vancouver twice. Colorado - Tie-breaker, the have more wins Nashville - 1 point up on the Canucks, but have one less game than Van Vancouver - Remaining games at home, play Calgary twice, Edmonton and Colorado Edmonton - Basically need to win both remaining games and needs Nashville and Vancouver to burry themselves.

Dammit, I just came in, went on to foxsports gametrax, and it said 1-0. So i thought it was.
-
Was that against Chicago? I seem to remember something liek that. It was awesome.
-
I have somewhat mixed emotions here, I know Luongo could easily steal a series, but also from living in BC, one of my all time favorite hockey moments was the 02' first round where we beat the Canucks. Awesome.

Oh, no matter how much I laugh everytime I watch Lionel Hutz on tv, it always makes me sad and I miss Phil Hartman. P.s. Has Draperfan chimed in on this one yet?
-
If thats true about Dion, I'm sickened. Seriously, he is one ugly ass caveman, and she is unreal. But aside from that, I know through a friend, who's cousin is actually a call girl in Van, that some certain twins have frequented their establishment.

Exactly as above. This is a perfect case of someone not taking responsibility for their own actions. Bertuzzi is that guy who you invited over for a house party, had a few too many, despite your concerns he drove home anyway, was in an accident, and is sueing you for overserving him. I know the swearing thing was talked about a few weeks back, but what the f***!? People everywhere sue for the stupidest stuff these days. Regardless of what his coach told him, Bert made the decision, he took the action, he should have to pay the consequences.

I was watchin the Nucks game last night, and Ryan Smyth went after Burrows (I think it was Burrows) anyway, Burrows wanting nothing to do with it, and embarassingly skated backwards faster than I can skate forwards to get away. I was laughing pretty hard at this act of cowardism, but then when of the guys at the bar said: "I wouldn't want to fight Smyth either. He is an Ugly mother. Ugly guys have nothing to lose." Haha, i thought that was good for a laugh.

Dont get me wrong, I agree that family is first. I just think it is going to be one of those things that a lot of Vancouver fans think but dont say. They will understand, and even agree with Luo's decision, but at the same time, but frustrated at having to cheer for Calgary.
-
I know he lived in Flordia for a long time, and perhaps that is where she is from. But does anyone know why his wife would remain in Florida? I know Luo is well off and can afford to fly and see her when he wants, but with his schedule, that is a long time apart.
-
I wonder how the Nucks fans will handle this. I live in BC, so I'll just ask them, but it is an interesting situation. Obviously family is important, and Lu is making the decision he feels is best for him and his family. And though it is a private issue, something about this pregnancy was an issue earlier in the season, around the all star break and Luongo took a few games off. Luongo is pretty much the only reason Vancouver is in playoff contention. So, if he skips a game or two, and the team misses the playoffs by a game or two, where to the fans stand on the issue?

Does anyone know Hossa's stats since being traded? Seems to me like he has been really quiet. They had better hope he turns it up, do I smell bust?
-
Haha, I like how Syd has made an appearance in both threads. I notice you put St. Louis on the list, seeing as how he wasnt drafted thats a decent statement towards suprising player. I recall Ed Belfour wasn't drafted either. Though he tapered off towards the end of his career. He was pretty dominant early on.

Hernia's fackin suck. I had one last year, and I was sidelined for a good stem. Sakic had one earlire this year, and he missed liek 20+. Lets pray thats not the sitchiation.
-
Didnt we go over this last year!? Haha, And I still vividly remember the responses.
-
norrisnick, good to see you again. In a friend a few days back, it was mentioned about some of the regulars who werent around as much any more. Yeah, its funny, because out here, people still try to credit Detroit success with feasting on the central, but this year, we haven't been anywhere near dominant against these guys. Its been when playing outsiders. I think it is just growing pains. These teams are improved, but it takes a lot to remain at the top.

Your team has been officially eliminated

I wish Atlanta would do better. Kovalchuk is awesome to watch. And even though they got swept by that Rangers last year, Kovy was still wicked. -
I saw this, and all I can add is, What the f***!?!?!
-
No, not at all. I just think that they best player should be able to elivate his team to the next level. Yes, without AO, the Caps would be bottom feeders, No doubt. But 9th spot isn't the next level he needs to get them to. Don't get me wrong, I hope the make the playoffs. I really do.
-
Hahaha. ^^^ I wondering if he was a heart throb back in the day with that. I guess they are European, so they may like it.
-
Sean Avery played 84 games in an 82 game regular season.
-
As wicked as AO has been this year, i'm actually inclined to agree. I doubt it will happen though. When Sid went down, I thought the Pens were going to drop from the scene. But Malkin stepped right up and filled that void. He has been amongst the scroing elite all year, and has been a beast for his team. As you mentioned, he has held them at a standard that has them amongst the top teams in the league. It think by now, it is obvious it will be between Ovechkin, Malkin, Luongo, and an outside chance to Lidstrom. (not be a homer, his role on this team in undeniable) That being said, if looking at the resent history of this award ... I imagine it will go to Ovechkin or Luongo.

When you are gifted with genetics like that, you have to use it. There aren't too many people who can grow a stache quite that beautiful. When I very first saw him, i obviously assumed it was like a bet. But its been years now. I pray that he is single and is tearing up the ladies with mustache rides in Cali!!!

Another win here for the boys. Handful of games left, good time for our boys to be rounding into playoffs form. Want an all round games, goals, hits. I think Dats is going to have a 3 pointer.
