It is not goaltending. Osgood is playing as he played last year. The difference is that Wings D gives up much better scoring chances this year.

It would not have been so painful if not for two Sharks breakaway goals. At least Wings looked better than the last game in shark tank.

To be fair Pavel did not get clear breakaway. D took away move to forehand. But 6 goals against if just pathetic regardless of breakaways.

Looks like Wings are double-shifting Pavel in place of Franzen. He just was on the Zetterberg's wing.

I seems like he hardly ever manages to freeze the puck, which would be useful once in an while.

It was clear that Flip blindly turned into goalpost. He was looking at the guy with the puck all the way.

I am fairly certain that there is no legal way to hit goalie in hockey other than with the puck.

If only the next PK line had been as good.

I am not sure about that. I did not find English to be terribly difficult. I doubt that I would ever get rid of the accent but understanding and speaking well enough that native speakers would not cover their ears in pain is not a ten year undertaking. For all its exceptions basic structure of the English (at least to me) appears simpler than that of Russian. On the other hand Russian should be fairly easy to read (convert written Russian into sound, not necessarily understand it). Each letter stands for a certain sound very consistently, which is really not the case with English. It should not be hard to speak broken Russian. Language is quite relaxed as far as sentence structure goes. You can put noun, verb and the rest of it in any order and in most cases it will be understandable. But I can see that getting it right is a lot of effort.

I got to see that shootout goal in person. It was quite a while since Pavel used that move. First two periods were somewhat cautious but the third was great. Up and down pretty much all the time.

Is not there a rule against pushing goaltender into the net? Too bad referee did not explain reason for waving the goal.

Compared to the last year NHL.com asks you to register in order to vote. So far I can't bring myself to do it.

I think if Wings forward would turn toward the goal after entering Ducks zone instead of staying outside it will surprise other team so much that he will be able to score without any opposition from their defence.
