Why didn't they play like this in the first? Potential to win the Cup should have been motivation enough. It seems like it took a while for them to realize that there is still a chance to lose it. -

If only Sammy lift the puck there is no save. I like Cleary as well. Holmstrom is slow and whole Pens first line is fast. I've Dupuis a lost when he was with the Wild and he is damn fast. I might be mistaken but I think he was the fastest skater on the team on year which has Gaborik. -

I noticed this as well. I would rather like him to hit the goalie than post or backboards. Like the play in the second when he took the puck away from some Pens player and than shot it just outside the left post. -

What is the deal with this weak pass attempts, which hit Pens players, skates or whatever else when trying to exit own defensive zone? It is not regular season, make sure puck goes out. Otherwise Wings are going to be looking at more than one goal deficit to tie this game. -

I would like Wings to bring play more to the center of the ice in the offensive zone. Too often Wings puck carrying forward gets jammed into the sideboards. -

Wings were off quite a bit in the first. I am not sure if they made more than two passes in a row. It created number of turnovers. Not so much the Penguins. They play as well as they played in last couple of games. Wings created their own troubles in the first. Hossa can finish as good as anybody I have to say. -
With all the heat Lilja gets I think Stuart makes his fair share of defensive mistakes. I am worried when he is the last man back.

Great effort by the second PP unit.

NBC showed that Pens have "Sacrifice" written on the wall of the dressing room in several languages. Unfortunately russian version translates more like "victim". Can't be good for Malkin's morale.

I disagree. I prefer to cheer for the team, which plays better hockey not "works the system" better. So I am happy that Dats and Z do not flop (at least I can't remember any instances). I like when Wings play cleaner than the other team and still beat them.

Post game coverage of NHL Network (TSN feed really) is quite nice. Too bad they don't show the game live.
