It is just a game. It does not really matter. If Franzen does not play nobody is going to die (well, I can't really know that for sure). Winning the Cup is not the end of life. Doctors can fix everything just yet.

I think two years ago that was the case. Dats came into this year as a solid defensive player. Z works harder to pressure opposing forwards (at least it seems this way to me). But if a puck gets within Pavel's reach in most cases it means an end to the other teams offensive opportunity (and he knows how to place himself in the zone to make it happen). Anyway, I like Lady Bing better - more finesse and less grit.

Avs are good at late game push (from what I've seen in the first round). I would have loved for Wings to have 2 goal advantage now.

Exactly! They are supposed to be professional announcers. It is not like Dats plays on the same line with McCarty and Hudler.

All the cases I can remember of a player being hit in a face with a puck were caused by a deflection (and quite frequently from his own stick).
