Alienating players is hardly a good way to win the Cup. What I like about Red Wings organization is that they do not allow themselves to sink down to the Burke level.

I would be against it. The more playoff hockey - the better. Also I am not sure that having a bye would actually help the top teams. Playoff hockey is quite different for regular season. I think the team, which went throught the playoff series would have an advantage (unless half of their lineup got knocked out). -
I there is a way to get Forsberg Wings should go for it. If he come it is only money against the cap. Trade will take picks/prospects away from Detroit. I am happy that Holland does not appear to be a big fan of deadline trades. In most cases they just cost too much.
