He can stickhandle like crazy on shootout. I think all his goals are on dekes. But he is not so good on defense. Wild played him few times on a wing because of injures and he looked much better there.

NHL Network got some technical problem with the Wings game. They are showing Penguins-Flyers game now. Should swicth to Wings as soon as they can.

The game is on NHL Network. It made me to sign up for it. Fortunatelly, it was in Comcast Sports package, which only cost me $6 a month. And it is actually not bad at all. Classic games are fun to watch (but haven't seen any old Wings games yet). -

I would say that there are very few hockey players that deserve to be called "piece of garbage". I my estimation Forsberg is not one of them. He just happen to play for the team most of Detroit fans hated with passion.

It was quite understandable. I've heard much worse. He basically said he would like to see the world and would have played tennis or soccer for a living if not hockey.

Oh, Pavel, 'o' should be slightly more pronounced in the word soccer.

For whatever reason this game was not on Center Ice. Too bad since it looks like it was a fun game. Central Division is much more competitive this year with exception on Predators (they are kicked by Los Angeles right now).

From what I've seen in preseason games Grigorenko got skills. He seems to be thinking pass first. I did not see him taking a lot of shots. I have no idea if it how he plays or just effect of moving to a different hockey environment. Also I did not see him being out of position much. I guess his conditioning issues are in the area of stamina and not speed. I have to say that I am biased for skill over grit. So I would take Grigs over grinders.

From the interview it appears that he is planning to spend this year (at least) in Detroit and work toward making it in NHL. But if he plays whole year in AHL his attitude might change. I hope that if he does not make the main roster he will get some call-ups to keep his spirit up. -

I do not see Grigorenko being out of shape. He is able to stay with the play nicely so far.
