Montreal coach is whining about Ottawa calling a timeout with 17 seconds left in the game. Something about "you never want to humiliate another team". I think Montreal deserved all that they got. Another goal against on the last second would have been good.

Yes, on replay it is quite clear. During the game given the camera angle from the side it looked just like any other dump-in. One can hope that league will review this after the game. Plus Subban fighting a guy who is lying on his back.

And Senators scored once more after all the fighting. Just brilliant. This is exactly the kind of game where you do want to run up the score. Give em all you got.

I think that was a Wild record for number of minutes in a single game. But that can't' be good for their prospects of advancing.

And this just might be the NHL's intention. To condition players so that they do not hit if contact to the head is a possibility. -

Principal point of contact is not necessarily the same as initial point of contact. If the shoulder got only glancing blow and the head got hit square on then head might as well be the principal point of contact. The point is I got no idea how they are going to interpret the rules in this particular case. It would be nice to have a set of rules, which only allows for a single interpretation but that might be asking too much out of English (or any other language). -

But as Babcock said in his interview there isn't anybody available to adequately replace Abby. The Wings are not head and shoulders above the Ducks to be able to afford something like that. -

Well, boxing is a sport whole point of which is hitting the other guy in the head. But as far as hockey goes I do agree. Stay away from the head. And if you have to jump to make a hit maybe you should not make that hit. -
Most of the times I see Wild power play it very much looks like they just do not know what to do.

So far this does not look like a blowout. I doubt Wild can win the series but pushing it to 6 games would be a respectable effort.
