I think offensive production (number of point) also important. Martin St. Louis would be my favorite for Lady Bing (101 pts, 28 pim) with Dats close behind.

Not quite true about the occasional PK shift. Dats takes a shift with Flip on pretty much every PK, except 5 on 3.

If you take into account that Gaborik missed half of the season he is having a great year. His goal per game average is second to Lecavalier. And Demitra is almost point-per-game player this season (it is an achievement if you are playing for Wild). And their goaltending is quite good even without any big names. They were pretty bad last week (after winning 9 in a row) but I don't think it means they would play as bad once playoff starts. I don't know if Wild would be a good or bad matchup for Wings. They did not see each other since last year. I would not want them to play each other in the first round just because I want them both to advance

They played on the same team (Dynamo) in Russia during lockout. But I don't think they played on the same line. So they know each other well enough. But I never heard them being best friends (or otherwise) from any reliable source.

Dats and Bert look better together. Even able to get some passing game going between them. Now it would be nice to involve Bert in some scoring.

Based on two games Bert played I would not replace Homer with him on the first line just yet. Having said that Dats-Homer-Bert line is not a good test to figure if Bert will fit with Dats and Hank. Dats-Flip-Bert line would give much better assessment (2 stickhandlers/playmakers and big body). Personally I would not move Homer off the first line unless he continues to struggle once Hank is back.
