as far as forechecking centers go he is one of the best. I dunno this season seems to be his best defensive season ever.

you cut right to the core of me.
-
actually I have been a fan since mid 80's
-
I hope you can take sarcasm because im only 25
-
Datsyuk better win the Selke or there is some crazy stuff going on with the voting.
-
Lidstrom has been out for several weeks and still leads defenseman in points by 3. He has 57 and Jovanovski has 48. Unless Phoenix wins the cup his Norris hopes are as good as shot. Whatever Norris hopes he actually has. Thank god Cherry dosent have a vote, unless I hope he dosent.

Ugh I hope someone breaks his knees. I never want to wish injury on someone but I think he is the exception to the rule
-
Fedorov Yzerman Shanahan Datsyuk Brown Hm to Neely, Lindros, Ciccarelli
-
wow why would anyone offer him a contract, he brings nothing to the table
-
been a fan since 35 and still kicking
-
I didnt say replace I said could fill in and do an ok job. Rafalski is a very good defenseman, but please dont put him in a class with lidstrom. When he wins his 1st Norris then you can slowly start an argument.
-
Personally I dont think anyone comes close to Lidstrom. Dats is great but what Lidstrom brings to the table cant be measured. If god help it, if one guy was lost for the year the Redwings would be up s***s creek with out a paddle with Lidstrom. Datsyuk is amazing and is my fav player. But someone at the right time who is playing hot could fill in for Datsyuk and do an ok job. Noone could ever fill Lidstrom's spot. Not now and maybe not ever.

eh I have been with better looking
-
Couldnt have happened to a better guy

This league is total bs and so are the officials.
-
I think the pairings should be Rafalski Stuart Kronwall Meech Lebda Ericsson Lilja as the locker room maintence guy/Janitor
-
unless babcock has a change of mind or is fired in the offseason Fedorov wont be coming back ever again.

Should Ericsson Be a starter over Lilja/Lebda?
RainingBlood replied to wingsfan_54's topic in General
um ok in 28 career games meech is still looking for his 1st goal, it took Ericsson 3 career games to get his 1st goal, which was a beautiful 1 timer. I guess next year we will see who's situation is better on the depth chart. -
No I think that title goes to Lilja now. It was a nice lob, too bad it went over the glass.
-
when did I ever say I wanted Lilja to be sucked inot a jet engine. I did say I want babcock to leave him stranded on a road trip. I have my priorities in order. I just calls em as I see's em, and I see's that Lilja is no good, and should be shoveling snow in Colorado, or plugging up some tires at Belle Tire.

Dude your frustrated jog around the block or find a hot chick or your chick, and go tot own. Im pissed too but I know their is a light at the end of the tunnle. Im just tired of these fair weather fans coming out. Cheer when they win and say its a 1st round exit when they lose. I have faith that you will make it through this, we all will. Peace be with you

I hope so too, I really do. Fans have good idea's sometimes. For the life of me I have no idea why he got an NHL contract. He should be cleaning the Fryalator. -
also they won 13 games this season in a shootout breaking an NHL record, so I guess they arnt that bad in shootout's.

If I was babcock, on the next road tip. I would stop and a sip and gulp, ask Lilja to go get the team some slushees, and when he walked into the store I would drive off. Hopefully its a road tip to like Calgary. Then they can make a tv series called "The adventures of Andreas Lilja, the trip back to the Joe." Then the Redwings can go into the playoffs with one last albatros on their back.
