Like I said before Rafalski was the best D man on the market. He makes plays happen. He is very good at finding the open man on the ice. I talked to some Devils fans who are devestated by his loss. More devestated than loosing Gomez. Rafalski is a leader on and off the ice. The redwings made the right choice by letting Schneider go, he's and old man. Rafalski is yourger and more talented in my eyes. Him and Lidstrom on the powerplay are gonna open up some eyes.

If Eric signs for the veteran min I wouldnt be too sour on that. The guy is still a monster downlow and having him on the powerplay wouldnt be too bad.

I think He was mentioned but I think Boogaard would fit nicely in Detroit. With a 6'7 frame and 270 pounds would fit nicely on a 4th line. Not the power forward the Redwings might have hoped for but damn would he help protect guys like Datsyuk, and Zetterberg. He can also do somehting that Norton couldnt do, stay on his skates and win a fight. From what it looks he hasnt been signed yet. Thought I would throw it up for discussion.

Dom would not screw the Wings again. After he did it once and left on bad terms, and screwd his deal up in Ottawa, Holland gave him another chance when no other team would give him a look and pretty much rejuvinated his career. He only wants to play 1 more year and it will be in Detroit.

Everyone needs to chill out, Bertuzzi was having back problems in the playoffs as well. He was very slow and Lang like especially in the Ducks series. There are still fa's out there that the Wings can sign. Hell the Redwings barely signed anyone last season but Hasek and were 2 games from the Finals. The season hasnt started yet and allready people wanna count the Redwings out. Till I see it, they are still one of the best teams in the NHL.

I watched a lot of devils games this year and Rafalski has a knack for finding the open man especially on the powerplay. Plus he is really defensive oriented which will help. He may not have the slap shot of Schneider, but as for defensive he is better, and as for getting the innital assist he is a lot better. Good deal

I like this, Schneider has been in the league for 21 years after this contract with the Ducks he will prolly retire. Rafalski has been in the league for 7 years, he's a young buck with many good years left in him in Motown.

Schneider had a little above average slap Shot. I rather have Rafalski, he may not have the shot of Schneider but he can set guys up on the powerplay which this team was definately missing. Also who is to say the Schneiders wrist will ever be 100%. Once you break a bone you have a tendancy to break it again and the wrist is a bad bone to break.
