The tables are heating up for MotorCity Casino's Red Wings Charity Poker Tournament. Be part of the action on Monday, March 3, 2008, as the Wings ante up for charity in this Texas Hold'em format poker tournament. For a $500 donation to the Detroit Red Wings Foundation, fans can test their skills going head-to-head with members of the 2007-2008 Red Wings. The evening kicks off with a cocktail reception at 4:30 p.m., in Iridescence, MotorCity Casino Hotel's AAA Four Diamond restaurant, where fans can raise the stakes and bid on select Red Wings players to join their table during the event. The action fires up inside the Poker Room at 6:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 finishers of the tournament, including a grand prize trip for two with the team on Red Bird II to the March 25, 2008 game in St. Louis for the first place finisher. The second place finisher will receive a suite for a Red Wings home game during the 2007-2008 regular season. The third place finisher will receive four tickets to a Detroit Red Wings regular season game including a meet & greet session with select players following the game, and the fourth-tenth place finishers will receive an autographed Red Wings jersey.

I don't think it works for the playoffs. It's not good to have a goalie get in a mind set for a game and then have to wait three or four days to get back into it.

1 that's right 1 5on5 goal in the last 3 games and you blame the goalie? Where was the D on the fourth goal last night? A guy wide open in front tips it in untouched? 5 Shots in the first period??? goalie is the least of our problems. So if ozzie stops the break away that lilja gave up and get's a hold of a tip that no one helps out on. Score is still 2-1. But it's easy to blame the goalie, they're out there every shift.

But you know what you're right he needs to step up. Of course if he had stopped half the goals we still lose 2-1. (not counting the howard goal) Where's the complants on no scoring? How come no one's bitching that we had 5 SHOTS in the first? 5 frinkn shots. 21 shots for the game. We have 35 - 40 a game. But hey lets blame the goalie. One more thing. Just read in the paper- Wings haven't scored a 5-5 goal in three games. May be that's one of the problems.
