Four games, four bad pinches, four goals against for Lilja
lfd250 replied to 40#1Fan's topic in General
I was thinking the same thing last night at the game. I don't know how many dang it lilja's I said, but my dad just kept laughing. I do believe that he and Kronwall shouldn't be pair together. -
No, and um NO Ice time, between PP, PK and regular shift they log way too much ice time. They'll be spent by Christmas. Split them up and they should round out ice time due to having a longer break and not going out every other shift. The other three lines haven't scored and probably think they all are checking lines. The reason they were split for the Ducks game is to make the Ducks pick who size=2]pronger[/size] was going to play against. Granted everyone is haveing a hard time stopping them regaurdless who it is. They are both playmakers and if split they will help the youngins gain much need confidence.

The fact that this just keeps going cracks me up. I was a big supporter of keeping nashville, but now not so much. You can only beat a dead horse so much until it throws you off. It hasn't worked in 9 years, it isn't going to work. The few people that love the team and support it are the ones that I feel sorry for. You were promised a team, fell in love with it, and now love it so much you can't pull the plug on it. Basically your team is like a company that loses money and instead of folding and getting what you can for it, you change the name (owners) and keep trying, and when it doesn't work, because face it, it isn't going to. You'll try and change the name (owners) again. I hope there's an out for the new owners because there was a lot of hype this year, and I doubt it will be there next year. Try re-nameing the team after something that isn't extinct.

He's a youngin that likes the wings. A little over zealous, but all in due time he will move on and we can go back to picking on each other.

Don't blame it on the refs.. It's the NHL you can't sit back and play prevent D . Two stars of the NHL miss their shots, There's tons of reasons for a lose, not the refs. Do I think it was a QW sure, but what do you expect from old guys that wished they could have played in the NHL. But hey I'll list the reasons and everyone can just pick by number and it will save typing 1 Refs 2 Goalie sucks 3. Lang is still lazy and got a lucky goal 4 No one else stepped up other then the top lines. 5 We had an inj. 6 I can't believe we lost to the worst team in the NHL (this was last year, this is this year) 7 Some how some way it was Betmans fault Face it, we got out played in the third Our guys looked tired, sat back and Chicago scored. Edm here on Mon. 80 games to go til the playoffs.

We do like your story, you just put it in when people were talking about FOOD. And once that starts phew, just can't stop. I think it's cool. Do you have a camera phone?? Or get a disposable one and put it in your pocket. Did ya get him to sign the Do Not Disturb SIgn??

I'll let you know when I have an extra ticket. As far as Detroit being safe/not safe. I think Detroit is THE safest city in Michigan. Why because everyone knows where to go and not go. The homeless aren't that bad, treat them with respect and say sorry I don't have anything or reach into your pocket and give them some change it isn't that bad. Stay within the bounds of the water, 375, 75 and the casinos and you'll be just fine. Come to Lansing, and they start robbing you at the capital (sorry had to say it) But here in Lansing there are no bounds people get robbed anywhere here. Same with stabbings and shootings. Your neighbor could go off at any moment. And I should know, I work for the fire department. Point is Detroit is safe. Stay downtown, you'll be fine. As far as you're not a fan if you don't go to the games, what about the fans that don't live close. There are pleanty of people that bleed wings who just don't live close enough to go. We should all be happy people aren't going, then may be we'll get lower bowl tickets.

Quick poll, other then being over an hour away and being Osgood (since we know why he didn't go) Why didn't you attend the game last night? The people here are what I would call Fanantics about the wings and there were tickets available, so why didn't you go? Like the atmosphere of the boards here? Gas to high? I know a lot of people here are students so no money? It was the opener so it shouldn't matter who they played. (Yes I too am tired of the same teams.) To expensive to go to a game? (We spent $27.50 not including gas) (plus $108 for our season tickets per game) (no beer, no program) No one to go with? Price of a ticket? Would you go if they were cheaper? Would you go if we got some tacky cheerleaders? I'm just wondering why people didn't go??

In reality I doubt people even knew. So now you've made everyone look at their jersey. I agree it's not the greatest thing for them to do, but I think the people here are right, it's just easier to stamp out one name and number size for all jersey's. What I find funny is all the people who bought brutuzi Jerseys last year. I'm alway afraid to buy a jersey and then the guy will be gone the next year.

Let's really look at the other teams in Motown Pistons - wait they aren't in Motown and like most of Detroit they stole the name Detroit. Prices aren't that much different and I've never been to a game, but fights break out there just as much as at the wings game. Lions- Selling out their games. Lets see 8 games???? So if you want to see a game your choice is limited. They too just had an article in the paper, need to sell more tickets so the game wouldn't be blacked out in Detroit, there's no threat of that at JLA. Tigers- Oh they had over three million ohhhh yeaaa! Let's see no school so there are tons of school kids going. You don't have to worry about school the next day. Tons of Church groups, boy scouts, girl scouts, safty patrol, from all over the state comeing. It's cheaper for a family to go to a Tiger game then to go on summer vacation. Yes I know they have a good team, and were in the chase to the end. I too will take my kids to a game during the beautiful sunny days, were I don't have to dress them for the cold or worry about how they'll act in school the next day because they were out late. Don't panic people it's not like we are going to lose the team if we fall in attendence. Osgood is right, it's expensive and may be this will be an eye opener to Moneybags as he puts it. But for me, I don't know if I'll be able to afford tickets once the new arena is built, the city of Detroit isn't going to pay for it. So get to a game, choke on the million dollar beers. You probably aren't going to like the new ticket prices when the new arena is built.

If you could do a page to peoples phone say with scores and who scored that would be great. Ex: Wings score 1-0 Draper from Maltby & Cleary End of First Wings 1 Ducks 0 Start of Second... and so on oh and inj too. Last year we were at the game and couldn't tell who got inj, but I'm sure people watching knew
-
We'd want to move them too. We're better off buying a Easten conf team and moving them west, so our Wings can go east.

You are forgetting that Boots is a minor invester in Nashville right now. Think he saw this coming and is licking his lips waiting until the end of the year to move to KC
