I'm not sure who's paying for Jagars contract but if you add up the NHLPA NYR players it comes to $56,121,600 and that's without Avery's money. (Jagar earns $8,360,000 this year)

Hope you guys can sell your tickets, bacause it sure sounds like you guys just got backdoored. (SP)

Have to say no to houston, been to a couple of AHL games there or what ever they're calling it now, and it has a small following. Ave 6000 ish for the size of the arena (they share the houston rockets bb) and the city it's not enought -
where does the Kansas City go?
-
The new jerseys will be black. Home - black, Away - black. Everyone knows that black is the sign for death. All these new owners did was waste a year. As much as I like Nashville, it's not a hockey city. Do you invest your money in a losing cause?? No. But it should make for a fun year of watching to see if they meet the attendance mark. Good luck Legionnaire11 and Nashville others. You're going to need it.

Who are you going to sit???? What's the price of an enforcer?? According to Dumb Ass, sorry betman it's a kindler getnler NHL. IF the NHL calls it like it's suppose to and hands out stiff game penalties, are you going to pay a guy to sit around. Tootoo is a fourth liner that goes out and goones, however the nhl has his number and will just keep adding games. We just need our guys to take care of our guys.

Again, I like going to Nashville and have a lot of fun we when do. But what happens after this year??? You get the support for a year, then what happens, companies see that the have bought all these tickets and no one goes, then they don't buy them the following year. Ford use to have to buy his own tickets just so the Detroit LIons games would be on tv ( before the move to the smaller dome) Are the non hockey people going to be happy when the city has to pick up the bill??? "Sorry Mrs Smith, we would like to send an officer to your house quicker but we had to buy hockey tickets instead of hiring more officers." That's just not going to go over well.

Any chance we can get the calander changed Thank you

Just remember the dearborn is a STEAK HOUSE with it's own butcher and the one downtown is more burgers and beer
-
i believe you have the old one (red wing) states it's the heavy one
-
As it was last year, the biggest challenge to the wings will be, back to back games and the long trip west.

Dear Season Ticket Holder: Building on our strong heritage and great tradition, plans are in full swing for “Fire on Ice†during the upcoming 2007-08 Red Wings season. We’re looking forward to another exciting and successful year. At the end of last season, we set out to aggressively evaluate our club’s past and present programs and services for season ticket holders. We conducted several focus groups and surveys and, as a result of your candid feedback, were able to identify what is most important to you, our fans. To that end, we’ve responded by making significant changes and enhancements to our 2007-08 Season Ticket Holder Program. Additionally, we are pleased to announce that for the sixth consecutive season, there will once again be no ticket price increases. In the next 10 days, we’ll be mailing renewal forms and information regarding new benefits, new payment plans and other amenities for our valued season ticket holders. Please watch for your package in the mail, and if you have any questions, dial 313-396-7575 and the Season Ticket Office staff will be standing by to assist you. We trust you’ll enjoy the new features introduced by our team and look forward to seeing you back at The Joe this fall. Go Red Wings!

Those of you complaining need to look at the price list of all teams from last year.

I do recall us looking that good on paper for the last I don't know how many years, and yet we have only one cup. It's hard to breath in some of those locker rooms due to the big heads on some of those guys. We'll be fine. We have lots of money for renting players again for the playoffs. Beisdes, I do recall A LOT of "let the kids play" during last year.

Guy from the Detroit news speculates it's the wings. waiting to confirm
-
Didn't see it any place and if it is I'm sorry, but the new NHL Detroit Red Wings Web site is up
-
I know he's small but why not Avery IF the rangers let him go after arbitration? probably area of 2 mill? Worth it?? or NOT??
-
Per their website 3 years
-
Brother signed with the blues in June. Could be a reason.
-
Yea, biut what are we missing??? No one else has signed him to an offer sheet. So it would lead me to believe most think he's too small or not worth the picks they would have to give up for him.
-
still think he get's what's left over. Like the others have said. Sign the players to make a great team and what's left is what he'll sign for. if there's 2 mill left he gets it, if there's 1 mill left he gets it plus bonus.
