You are correct there are Califonia people who want to watch their team play for the cup. Not knocking you, you'll get home from work, either go to the game at 6 pm or have you're dinner at home and watch the game at 6 pm. Get home from the game around 9 pm put the kids to bed, watch the highlights from the game, the late news and go to bed. ON TIME. Mean while the E.S.T. people, put the kids to bed, sit down watch the game which always starts on time at 9 pm (HAHA) gets over midnight or later, then go to bed. IF we want to watch the game. If it's in the east, you'll got off work early, (an added bonus) be home by 4 and go through the same. I know the Westerners have always taken a beating regardless of what sport. Game 5 for you was at Noon. All I was saying is that there probably isn't going to be a lot of Easteners staying up late to catch a game. Hopefully I"m wrong, but I'll be looking at the ratings for the different cities. Hopefully I"ll be eating leather and the NHL is strong in TV land and people will watch the late games. BUT, I'm not worried, because when the wings win the next two, I won't have to worry about it.

Do you really think the NHL wants the Ducks in the Cup???? Face it, if detroit doesn't get in, the NHL in the US is done. What fans are going to stay up to watch the Ducks and Ottawa?? People here from Duck Land have already said no one pays attention to the ducks until LA and SJ are done. Anybody and everybody in the Eastern time zone will have pleanty else to do at 9 pm est. Unless of course you're from Canada. Face it, there's a reason no one wants to move to the Western Conf. Hockey will and always be a Northeast coast thing. No offence to the Western Wing fans.

To see how much the DRW ticket prices are out there: Second round RW lowest ticket $72 + ticketmaster crap = $78ish Second round Pistons lowest ticket $18 + ticketmaster crap = $24ish granted the highest piston ticket is $950. I hate BB and have no idea where or how good the seats are. But if I had kids and they wanted to go to a pro playoff game, lets see 3 pistons tix for the price of 1 red wind ticket! And yes I am a Season RW ticket holder.

Agreed you're complaining about a 1pm game??? Let's see last game started at 10ish and because both are great the chance of OT is good. So the game could get over well after midnight or later. So I doubt you'll get much support from the Eastern time zone people.

I am one of those season ticket holders to decline. As the boss said (wife) you want to go to the playoffs or watch the whole next year. My playoff tix would have cost me more then next year. I also don't think it's fair that I have to buy the first two round to get the third and all three to get the cup. Am I a fair playoff friend? Probably, but why buy tickets to games I may or may not be able to get to since they don't release the playoff schedule right away. And I can get closer seats by buying one game at a time if I can go. But double the price by the second round is to much!

No one has said Nashville????? I'm sorry but if your team is playing the second best team for first place and you can't sell out your arena, then you have to go. Nashville Arena holds 17113 for hockey games last nights atten. 16640. Please don't get rid of Florida teams.
