Here's the problem with your obviously self aggrandizing post.. As a LONG time Wings fan who's not from Detroit and in my early 40s, I had (and still have) no idea who Joe Louis was. At one point, I had to look it up. I quickly then stowed it away in the back of my brain near the 'who-gives-a-sh**-about-that' zone. I couldn't give less of a care about boxing. Can't stand the 'sport'. To me, it's pointless. Therefore, I couldn't care about the boxers either. So the whole 'Joe Louis is sacred' movement is, in my opinion, ludicrous. Not everyone likes boxing, or for that matter, Joe Louis. So, the whole - it was named after JL, it was EPIC - is ridiculous. Truth be told, in our heart of hearts - we all KNEW it would be named after/by an Illitch/Olympia entity - anyone who thought otherwise was wearing the proverbial rose-colored glasses. The LCA is *meh* as far as arena names go, however, the stupid logo on the roof is RID... wait for it.. ICULOUS.

Still have a chance to control our own destiny but also we can gain a little traction with losses by others. Philly has to more or less run the table at this point. Boston has a 2/3 chance at the WC spot if they don't win their last one. I'd probably count on them winning their last one.
