Bleh. I don't want him to leave the Wings. Him and Mickey have such great chemistry together. That'll be cool for him if he does get it though. He has worked for CBC before I think. -
There is one thing that really bothers me about the Preds: They have a great team, and extremely cheap tickets compared to the Wings, and they still can't sell out. That really pisses me off. If the Wings had the prices for tickets that the Preds had, I'd be going every game I could. With the way the Wings charge for tickets now, I'd be lucky to make 1 game a season. The Predators fans have no idea how lucky they are with these tickets prices, and yet they don't seem to capitlize on this. And the fact that the team is great, yet still can't sell out is even more disturbing. I don't like to stereotype, but God damn it. The team is one of the best in the league and they still can't sell out? Why? The team is good, the tickets are cheap, so what's the problem? It really pisses me off seeing things like this. The so called "fans" need to start showing that team some support by going to the games. If they sold out on a consistant basis, and got rid of Jordin Tootoo, I wouldn't have such a problem with them having a team.

Lidstrom won! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO! Suck on that Pronger! Go Lidstrom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
No Lou, they didn't show it yet. Hah, you like Finger Eleven also? They are a great band.

...and I'm a running down a dream... Heh, I like that song.
-
Go right ahead. The Awards show takes forever to get started anyways. I'm starting to get tired of waiting.
-
Ok then. I'm going to guess Philippe Boucher won it.
-
What? It's not like I want him to. If he does, I'm going to burn my TV. I just get the feeling he will though, since the NHL already loves him anyways, and he's a media poster boy.
-
Why do I get the horrible feeling Pronger will win the Norris?
-
I am so happy he's coming back. Dom was great this year, especially in the playoffs. Health is still a bit of a concern, but overall I'm really glad he's staying here. Another great part of this deal? The Wings won't go out and majorly overpay for someone like Giguere, or try for the "next best thing" which is basically about the same as Ozzie. I hate trying to be part of a goalie bidding war, and thankfully we won't have to be now.
-
Eklund said it?!?!?!?! Well then it must be true!!!!!!!!!!!11 Shanahan is done here. Even if the Wings wanted him back, he doesn't want to come back. For some reason, he is dead set on staying in New York. And that's fine by me to be honest. We played a lot better this season without him. He's become noticably weak and lazy in his older age, and just won't fit on this team. Babcock likes hard working players, and Shanny is far from that. He isn't coming back.

Richards isn't a very attractive offering due to his huge contract, and poor season last year. You'd think that, being he was a former Conn Smyth winner, more teams would reportadly want him. As of right now though, I really don't see any teams all that interested.
-
Ooh! You just gave it away right there. Personally I always thought Ulf was worse, because he did cheapshots mulitple times. Our old friend Todd has only done it once, even though his probably the worst magnitude. Still, the numbers outweigh the severity in this case, as least I think anyways.
-
Ulf Samulesson? I usually assume the cheapshots.

I like what Blackberry's is doing here. Honestly, moving the team out of Nashville is probably the best thing for the league as a whole, since they've been losing money year after year now. Not to mention the fact that they couldn't draw fans when, at one point, they were the top team in the Western Conference, and have ticket prices so cheap that you could buy about 100 of them and they'd equal the price of 1 ticket to a Wings game. The fact that they can't sellout even after all that is enough to move them. Face it. Hockey in Nashville was a failure. Even if they do get the 14,000 they need, they'll still be moving. Blackberry's will find a way. Why else would have he paid so much to buy the team?

Even if there was a straining lack of good free agents, I still wouldn't re-sign Lang. I just assume put Filppula on the 2nd line. Or move Zetterberg there, and maybe move one of the wingers like Bertuzzi (if he is re-signed) on the top line with Datsyuk. There are way too many other options I'd consider before even thinking about signing Lang. And even then, I still wouldn't want him back. I said to myself earlier: "He'll finally be gone come this summer". And he better damn well be. His two clutch goals are pretty meaningless at this point anyways. Sure they were good, but did he really do anything else of decent value during the playoffs? Not at all.
-
f*** that. I certainly hope Ken and Mick were just blowing smoke out of there ass or something, because I do not want Lang back next year. I've grown tired of watching him show no effort at all, and he's become fairly useless, aside from his two clutch goals. Ugh.
-
If he went anywhere, it certainly wouldn't be Toronto. MLSE, and the Leafs organization as a whole, is a joke, and Scotty is fully aware of it. I really don't think he wants to be a part of something like that.
-
Yeah, instead of just one, we'd have two!
-
I should have given away the sarcasm a bit more.

Alexei Yashin *cough*

While I admit, Playfair certainly did a bad job of motivating the Flames and wasn't that great of a coach anyways, Keenan is a strange choice to come in instead. The Flames want to "re-build" after last season, and Iron Mike really isn't the guy to do it with, mainly because he's an ass. But, whatever. ...and you sound so disappointed too.
