Ottawa winning the Cup? A disgrace?

Yeah, you know, I don't know why Carlyle intends to play Huskins over Joe DiPenta. DiPenta is a pretty decent defenseman, and has more expierence then Huskins.

Things aren't looking good. Well, it's time to pull out some reverse-analogies here. Go Ducks!

SCF Game 4: Ottawa vs. Anaheim

The thing that bothers me is that half of the people here are all complimenting Alfie for what he did, and this coming after we've seen about 5 different threads about how dirty Anaheim is. And yet, they don't find what Alfie did as dirty? That's ******* ridiculous. Oooh, and look, Anaheim scored. All rallied up from what Alfie did. f***in' idiot.

who should Detroit target the most in free agency?

Bulis would be like a Plan G for me. There are too many others I'd want instead. Although, it'd still be fun to yell BULAY BULAY BULIS!!!!!!!!!!! every time he scores a goal. I wonder if I could contact Ken Daniels and ask him to do it too.

Yeah, I see it too in his posts. I just thought it is because Eva always uses the special fonts.

SCF Game 4: Ottawa vs. Anaheim

Are we actually complimenting Alfie on what he did? Come on. That was a true dirty ass ******* cheap shot. Alfie can suck a dick for that. If that play comes back and rallies the Ducks at the same time, I'm calling for his head.

Don Cherry - I take it back

All true. Grapes was great tonight. Him and Brett were just great together. They need those two on more often. It'll bring in ratings, as I'm sure people will take notice. Yay Grapes!

SCF Game 4: Ottawa vs. Anaheim

Ahaha, Grapes was great on NBC. The CBC feed picked it up, and I thought him and Brett were great together. NBC needs to start having him on there more often. He was in true form tonight.

Yep, Alfie was a true bastard on that play. Go Ducks.

who should Detroit target the most in free agency?

Jan Bulis Seriously, Scott Hartnell is the way to go here. He'll bring the perfect combo of size, speed, scoring ability, and grit to the lineup. The Wings really should make a pitch for him.

Pronger at it again: elbow to McAmmond's head

Becoming a goon? When did you start watching hockey anyways, a month ago? The mans been a goon for his entire career. Gordie already listed a good amount of stupid things he's done before. He also did one of his "football charges" once this year too, on Nils Ekman of Pittsburgh. Ekman was battling in front of the net, and out of nowhere Pronger comes barreling in and starts to pummel Ekman in the face. The man is a total prick, and if someone kneecapped him and ended his career, you would see no remorse from me. His intent is to do just that to other players anyways, so it's a double standard.

You know you're a Detroit Red Wings fan if...

...you get angered over events that don't involve the Wings. I.E. Pronger.

Report: Leafs close to deal with Sundin

If Sundin had a decent winger to play with, he probably would be. I'm not saying he'd be as good as Thornton, but possibly close. Sundin is a great player, and doesn't get nearly enough recognition. The reason he isn't a 100-110 point scorer every season is that he doesn't have a top line winger to play. Instead of going out and signing a big name winger, the Leafs management prefers to clog up the roster with ageing centers that are past their prime. They prefer playing Sundin with guys like Ponikarovsky and Antropov, who are all decent players, but are not first line players. He needs a good first line winger to show his true potential. Even despite this by not having one, Sundin still manages to put up 70 or so points most every season. Just shows that he is a lot better then anyone gives him credit.

    Holland making Schneider a priority

It'll be even worse without him. The reason the PP struggled this year is because we lost Shanahan. That's a small price to pay though. Overall, I'm glad Shanahan is gone, as he's grown increasingly soft and lazy the past few years. But, that's another subject for another day.

    Holland making Schneider a priority

"If" is the key word here. Schneider is so valuable to this team, and yet, everyone wants him gone. Our PP will go straight down the tubes without Schneider, and Kronwalls 1 PP goal this season isn't enough to convince he can be a full time replacement. We need Schneider, even if it is at the expense of Markov.

Pronger at it again: elbow to McAmmond's head

I guess the Ducks are handing out free blinders to all the fans to avoid anyone questioning them. Some of these responses I'm seeing are a total joke. McAmmond purposly ran into Prongers elbow? Are you kidding me? I've been trying to tone down the "Ducks fans are f-ing stupid" comments, but it's really hard when you have them coming on here and saying that McAmmond went into Prongers elbow on purpose. That takes the cake.

If the Ducks win the Cup?

Ooh boy. Theres more parity. Do you really think most fans give a flying f*** if lame ass market teams can compete? As I understand, the fans are the ones where the money comes from. Isn't the fans that pay for admissions? Tickets? Concessions? I don't see any of the players paying for it. Most people would rather see a Detroit/Toronto final or a Chicago/NY Rangers final than an Anaheim/Carolina final. It's a simple as that. The fans is where the money comes from. If there are no fans, then where exactly is this money going to come from? Out of nowhere? As strange as it may seem, the NHL owners don't have endless pockets. This is why they make people pay money to attend games. Shocking logic isn't it? You can give me your speech about the players and what not, but without the fans, there is no money coming in, and there is no team. Most fans would rather see a big market SCF, and so far, for at least the past 4-5 years, that hasn't been the case. From an honest standpoint here. Would you rather see an Original 6 SCF, like Detroit/Toronto or Chicago/NY Rangers, or a nowhere SCF like Anaheim/Carolina or Nashville/Tampa Bay? If said the first one, then theres your answer, and it's the point I'm trying to make.

If the Ducks win the Cup?

No, you can thank the fact that another boring matchup is this years SCF's once again. As if Edmonton-Carolina wasn't bad enough, it follows up with Ottawa-Anaheim. Unless you live in either of these cities, or are a true hockey fan, nobodys going to watch a matchup like this. Anaheim and Ottawa? Give me a break. I'm still watching it, but I still wish we'd see a good final again, with big market teams. Face it, this may be a purist type comment, but Original 6 teams in the SCF are going to draw money and ratings. Teams like Detroit, Chicago, NY Rangers, Toronto, Boston, and Montreal are going to draw far better ratings then teams like Anaheim, Carolina, Tampa Bay, or most other southern market teams. It's the truth, and I think a fair amount of people are going to agree with me.

    Nick Zherdev

No way in hell would I even consider taking Zherdev. He makes Lang look like a hard worker, with how much he floats around out there. Zherdev could be one of the best players in the league if he actually cared. But he doesn't. He shows no effort, and has this attitude about him that I never want to see in a player who playes for the Wings. It's also been said that a lot of players on the Jackets don't like him. Pass.
