Pronger at it again: elbow to McAmmond's head

I believe he has a daughter.

    McGratton might play

We've seen a few this year in somewhat close games. Problem is though, they were all in Round 1. The chances of there being any fights in the SCF are slim to none.

    That was my first guess.

If the Ducks win the Cup?

Come on Offsides. It doesn't snow in Southeast Michigan. You must live on the west side.
  6. Honestly guys. The only real problem on Anaheim is Pronger. The rest of them get their dirty play directly from him. The thing that annoys me about Anaheim is the amount of luck they've gotten so far during these playoffs. I don't care what you say to me, Giguere sucks. He's big enough to take up most of the net. It's not this "sound positioning" bulls*** I keep hearing either. He takes up the net with his large size (fat ass) and large equipment. I know the argument is overused, but it's still true, nonetheless. They've gotten wayyyyyy to lucky so far. The Wings were the better team. Again, overused argument, but still true. It's the simple fact. While the Ducks have decent players, luck has been on their side more than often. And when you have a ******* bastard like Chris Pronger on that team, who by the way shouldn't even be in the league, it's hard to believe they are blessed with all this luck. That is the main reason I can't stand Anaheim, along with Pronger.

Pronger at it again: elbow to McAmmond's head

Colin Campbell must have had his balls mounted on his fireplace. Seriously, can he do something other then a one game suspension? Note: One game suspensions are nothing more then a slap on the wrist. This is never going to get the message across, since Pronger is a stupid idiot anyways. Ugh. On the brightside, it is something. In my opinion, it should have been more. I don't know, I guess it's mainly because I hate Pronger more than any NHL player (Tootoo is a close second), but I still feel one game is not enough to get the message across.

If the Ducks win the Cup?

When Brian Burke became the GM. It's not the team so much as it's Pronger. His influence is rubbing off on the rest of the players though, which is what you've seen last night. Guys like Getzlaf and Perry aren't dirty players, but they do dirty things on the Ducks, probably because of Pronger. Either that, or Carlyle is a coach in the Barry Trotz mold. Again, it's mostly Pronger who is dirty. The fighters on that team aren't dirty at all. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who thinks Moen, Thornton, hell even George Parros as dirty players. They fight, but aren't dirty. It's mainly Pronger who is the dirty one.

    NHL Dissed

Nobody will ever take the NHL seriously. Bettman is trying to make it something it's not. Note that in 1994, when the Rags won the Cup, the NHL was really popular. Even more than the NBA. Then, two labor dispuits later, and nobody really cares about it anymore. We're not selling ourselves short, we're speaking the truth. Most people, who aren't hockey fans, really don't know anything about the sport.

Pronger at it again: elbow to McAmmond's head

Umm, what? Punishments have been given for hits to the head before. I take it this is your first time watching hockey? While I generally agreed with you that Pronger wouldn't be suspended, even though he deserved it, it's clear to me now that you're either a Ducks fan, or know nothing about hockey. Many higher officials in the NHL have talked about more severe punishments at numerous points this season. To say that there is no penalty is just plain stupidity.

Why not get rid of the kicking rule?

Kicking is dangerous when you have skates on (who would have thought? ). Theres a reason it isn't allowed.

    Nashville's days appear numbered

Correct. Vegas is the only city big enough in Neveda to really support a team, but it is the gambling issue that scares most off. In a few years, if other cities like Reno or Carson City are built up enough to support teams, then maybe you can give it a shot up there. While I think having a team in Vegas would be an interesting experiment, it probably wouldn't work out, because of the gambling.

    Ryan Smyth

He has, when needed to. Usually it's just when a guy gets thrown out of a faceoff, though I do remember occasions of Smyth playing a regular shift at center.

    Detroit Pistons Season Thread

Major overhaul? Not quite. Before the panic talk sets in, remember this is exactly how the series against Cleveland went last year, and the Pistons still came back and won. Though I honestly have my doubts if we have any chance at all against San Antonio, if we even do beat Cleveland. Some changes do need to be made though. I'm in favor of dumping one player as of right now: Chris Webber. Absolutly brutal so far these playoffs, and when he doesn't suck, he's just invisable. He'll be gone, and rightfully so. One other change should be the obvious right now: Can Flip. He's being totally outcoached in this series, and as shown last year, he's a bad coach in the playoffs. He's not getting these guys ready for the games at all, and the fact that we almost blew that series against Chicago pretty much proves it. We should have sent Chicago packing in 4, at the most 5, but they actually took us to 6 games. That's the worst part of it. I just have no confidence in him as coach anymore. Still though, the team is not in need of a major overhaul. Other than Webber, there are no true lazy floaters on the team, like last year with Ben Wallace. The Pistons still have a good core, and guys like Prince, Rasheed, Rip, and Billups should all be kept. A major overhaul will get the team nowhere, and blowing the whole thing up after the team made to the ECF doesn't make sense to me. Just my opinion though.

Pronger at it again: elbow to McAmmond's head

It probably will be the classic "Should of, but didn't". Colin Campbell had his balls cut off years ago. Sorry, but as much as we all hate Captain *******, he'll be in the lineup for Game 4. Not really a bad thing though, since his stupid penalties and losing his temper might actually help the Sens. Plus, dare I bring up a team that the Ducks played, without Pronger in the lineup, and yet still lost to the Ducks? Who was that team by the way?
  18. Kp-Wings

    McGratton might play

If McAmmond is seriously injured, it looks like he will play. Patrik Eaves is in no shape to play (concussion), and I don't know of anyone else they'd be able to play.

    Nashville's days appear numbered

The Canadian dollar has gained more value since either of those teams were last in the league. Bad comparison. Quebec City could probably support a team again. You'd still get the purist, who like the Habs, but overall if the Habs don't make any strides to win, and are a bubble playoff team every year, you'll see more fans jump on the Nordiques bandwagon (or whatever they may be called). Winnipeg couldn't support a team then, and it can't now either. The corperate support in Winnipeg is worse than in Nashville. Not to mention the MTS Centre is an AHL oriented arena, and is not meant to handle the large crowds an NHL team will bring. Seating can be expanded, but that's a painful process, and some seats will likely have obstructed viewing.

    should the wings trade kronwall

You guys stick up for Kronwall like he's going to win the Norris or something. How is it that I am the only one on these forums that noticed his bad play even when he was healthy? He always has a hard time handling the puck, and his passes are erratic. But yet, why do I bother? Everybody on these forums loves Kronwall to death, so whatever I say will never make a difference. And if you're still to dence to get it: I'm not a Kronwall fan. And all be it if it is bad luck, I'm getting tired of his constant injuries every season. Not to mention I think he's overrated. But hey, that's just me. We all have our own opinions of players. Just as you all think he's Mr. Norris Trophy, I think he isn't.

Report: Leafs close to deal with Sundin

That really makes no sense though. The Draft is (supposidly) very weak this year. So unless there is someone really high on the Leafs radar right now, this move doesn't seem that good. White is a pretty decent player from what I've seen. Stralman I know nothing about, so I can't say whether he'd be very good or not.

Pronger at it again: elbow to McAmmond's head

Wow. Are all Ducks fans this smart? McCammond shot the puck, and was skating by. About 5 seconds later, Pronger blindsides him with an elbow to the head. And you stick up for him? Jesus Christ, stop being such a blind homer. Duckette: Thank you for not being a total joke like justheducks. I'm glad some Ducks fans can think for themselves for once, rather then be blinded by the truth because a player on the team they root for actually (God forbid) did something bad.

LGW GDT: Finals, Game 3 Sens vs. Ducks

Well, ok. I remember you mentioning him before, so I always assumed you didn't like him. Again, while he wasn't a starting calibre goalie, he was a pretty dependable backup.

LGW GDT: Finals, Game 3 Sens vs. Ducks

What is your obsession with Corey Schwab? I mean, he was never a starter, but he didn't suck. He was a good backup throughout his career.

LGW GDT: Finals, Game 3 Sens vs. Ducks

I know. It was a tad fruity. A simple "F U Pronger" would have done fine. The thing with his kids is exceeding overkill.
