Shawn Thornton? Come on now. He's not a dirty player. In fact, I'd love it if he played for the Wings, since he has some mild skill compared to other fighters in the league. Chris Pronger is the biggest disgrace to hockey since Claude Lemeiux. And he deserves that title.

Yeah, but still. There are not many fighters in the league that don't blow in all other aspects of the game. I like fighting, as it's certainly entertaining. But some of these guys that I like to watch on other teams, I would never want on the Wings, because they aren't very good players. If there were more Chris Neil's or Aaron Asham's in the league, everything would be good. Asham is avalible, and Lou, I'll be you'll agree with me that he'll be the best choice. He can average about 10-15 goals a season, and he fights a lot too. He'd be the best pickup the Wings could get in that catagory.

Should the Wings target UFA-to-be Giguere?

We tried an enforcer last year (Brad Norton), and it didn't work out. If you want someone to fight, and can also do other things and can contribute, then Scott Hartnell or Aaron Asham are your answers. Those two are the ones to look for.

Wow. I've been following the Wings since about 1992 when I was 8 years old. Just because I don't want Kozlov makes me not a fan all of a sudden? I really don't appreciate your comments. The Wings could use a gritty goal scorer, like Scott Hartnell, way more then someone like Kozlov. Hartnell brings a lot more to the table then Kozlov. If guys like Hartnell or Smyth sign with other teams, then yes, Kozlov would be a welcome addition. But I'm not going to make signing him a first priority like some on here.

Blues fans are the biggest morons on this side of the Western Hemisphere. Leafs fans and Preds fans are a close second though.

http://www.geocities.com/floridapanthers2000/free2007.html This is a great listing, with all of the free agents availible on here. It has them catagorized with the team they played for last season, to make it easier to find who you're looking for.

I really hate when players do this. You know, it's basically like we are forced to play these guys, otherwise they leave. Grigorenko could be great, but he could also suck. The NHL should stop crap like this with the "out clauses" that these Russians always like to do. Some of these guys, like last year with Enver Lisen and Alexei Kaigorodov, are basically useless at the NHL level and were assigned to the AHL. They just up and leave, just like that. I really don't agree with the way this situation works.

This sucks. Swept by the tribe. That puts us almost 2 games back. Damn it. The bullpen is going up in smoke. Something needs to be done about it, now. *coughAnderwMillercough*

Brad Stuart? No way. He's a joke.

Yeah, same here. It's a horribly boring matchup in my opinion, but I'm still watching it.

I'm sorry if I offended any Canadians in this topic, but still. I really think it's strange that, here you have a team representing your country, yet some Canadians (outside of Toronto mind you) are actually doing the unthinkable and rooting for an American team. A team that also plays in an area where, if you are a purist, thinks shouldn't even have a team. This is all because they have more Canadians. It's just weird. T-Ruff - The media loves Chris Pronger. Just read TSN, NHL.com, The Hockey News, or basically any other form of sports media. They all think this guy is the best defenseman in the league. And yes, they all like to you use the (stupid) phrase "Good Canadian Boy" to describe him a lot.

This SCF is such a marquee matchup this year. I mean, look at the history between these two teams. Such a heated rivalry, going back to the days of 1995 when these two teams met once a year, and duked it out to a very uneventful game. Boy, I can't wait. Ah, whatever. It's still hockey. Go Sens!

Oddly enough, that was the Michael J. Fox (Spin City, etc.) commenting about it. I'm surprised he would root for Anaheim, since he is a Canucks fan, and the Ducks eliminated them. Oh well. Just some peoples opinions I guess. Still weird though.

"Johnson, you're fired" If you can tell me the actor that often said that line in a 1990's - Early 2000's sitcom, you will officially win a total of 1 internets. Send your answers today!

I should have added a sarcasm ninja to my post, in case you didn't get it. But I think you did.

Sandstrom was sweet. He was cool. My personal favorite will always be Vincent Riendeau though. True Vezina candidate goaltender right there. What a player. Actually though, both Sandstrom and Riendeau were good players at points in their respective careers. Just none of which were with the Wings.

2002/2003 was his best season. Unless you want him to go out there and break some necks, I don't think you want him in his 2003/2004 form.
