His pads are too big. *shot*

Pun alert!

Toronto is a much bigger hockey market then New York. While New York does have the Rags, Isles, and Devils, they all play second fiddle to other sports teams in that area. The Leafs, even though they suck (no offense Mack), are the undoubted #1 team in Toronto, and Toronto is one of the biggest cities in Canada. edited for grammar

Samulesson will be in the lineup over Kopecky. Just because the majority of us here at LGW don't like him, doesn't mean he'll be gone. Babcock likes him, and that's what makes the difference.
-
Wow. That is a sad story. Mike Fischer is a great guy though. It's cool he did all that. I really hope the Sens go out and win it for him. Go Sens Go!
-
I guess everyone wants the Predators to move then, because just about every hockey website reports 12,000. I've always thought that's what it was too. But yeah, you would know better then anyone else here. I trust your word.

One other thing I should mention about Jeff O'Neill: He is known to have a long fear of flying. Some believe this is one reason why his production has been down the last two years, along with the situation of his brother. While there is no doubt O'Neill is a good player, and I'd like to see him here personally, but just remember there is baggage that comes with him. Lindros will never again be a productive player. He should just hang his skates up and open a bar with his egotistical father.
-
Lindros is a vegetable. No way would I want him here. Note that when Dallas signed him last year, they actually said they'd be perfectly happy if they 50 games out of him. That just goes to show what damaged goods he is anymore. O'Neill has been pretty bad the past few years, mainly because his brother died. I would like to see him here for the right price, as he can score, and he hits people too. That's a good option to consider. There are some others that you left out that could definitly be in bargin form. I'll take a look at the free agent list later and post a few who might be a good fit here.

Heh, you know Pronger will always be my scapegoat. Bastard. Anyways, Go Sens!
-
Heh, it's a progress. Hopefully by next season it'll hit 80 million. I miss the days when teams like the Wings and Rags would go out and spend ridiculous amounts of money on free agents. It made the offseason all the much more exciting!
-
Don't even bring that up. I was doing my best to forget that it was. Damn it all Reem! You just had to say that.
-
I don't get that. When Winnipeg and Quebec were both sold, the new owners immideatly moved the team. This must be a new thing the NHL is doing or something. That soundsl like good news on your end. Now it's just up to you guys to start going. With how cheap your ticket prices are, there is no excuse not to go.

Bleh. 4 months is too long. Oh well. This should give Z plenty of time to recover if he has back surgery.

I was one who wanted Leetch to come here. He is such an awesome defenseman. Heres to a great career. Great work Brian!

Happy Birthday Drapes!

Hockey Trade Rumors.com It probably isn't true, since it's basically fans who post there anyways. If 900K is all he really wanted though, I'm sure Tampa would have givin to him. They are strapped because of the Big 3, but not that strapped. I wouldn't mind Artyukhin if Tampa does want to trade him, since he basically burned his bridges over there. He would add much needed toughness.
-
There are other guys who can bring toughness for a cheaper price. He wants almost 2 million (at least last summer he did), and that's just way too much for a fourth line forward.
-
Do you have a source for this rumor? Babchuck would be a great pickup for cheap. He has all the aspects to be a top defenseman. He posses the coveted ability to put up points and be a physical defenseman at the same time, and I think he might make it here. As long as he isn't a glass statue like Kronwall, or isn't a cancer, I'd like to see the Wings take a shot at him.
-
The only reason I even mentioned Zetterberg is because that's basically what a team would want. No NHL team would be stupid enough to blow a top 5 pick on Hudler or Jakub Kindl. Unless Mike Milbury or Mike O'Connell are the GM's, it won't happen. Cherepanov is putting up impressive numbers, but it confuses me why he isn't a sure fire #1 overall pick. Ovechkin was basically that during the 2004 Draft. I get the feeling that Cherepanov has an attitude, kinda like Daigle and Brendl, which is what held them back from being great players.

Uh oh! I smell a pun! The press conference with Blackberrys is scheduled for today I seen. It'll be interesting to see what comes out of it.
-
Artyukhin is not a UFA, he is an RFA. And for a guy who has only scored 13 points in his NHL career, he wants a lot of money (hence why he left Tampa to instead play in Russia).

Nobody in the Wings farm system would be enough for a first round pick in the top 5. Sorry guys, but Hudler will never be a coveted player because of his size. The Wings would need to give up a big named player (I.E. Zetterberg), and they'd be insane to do that. Zetterberg is just pure awesome for one thing, and also because you would essentially be trading a 100 point potential player for a young kid who could end up like Alexandre Daigle or Pavel Brendl. Cherepanov fits the bill for being a bust like the previous two mentioned. As already mentioned, nobody in GR would be enough for a top 5 pick. Don't even count on Holland using our first round pick this year anyways. It hasn't been 5 years yet, and the Wings basically only use their first round picks every 5 years.
