Why should Pronger get the benefit the doubt? He's tried to injure guys before. Remember when he went after Yzerman in 2002, or Andreas Johansson a few years ago? Oh wait, you don't, because you are biased, and everything in your eyes is that Pronger is a perfect angel who has never done anything wrong in his life.
-
It wouldn't suprise me if they did. As I said before, if they do, they will have basically failed in every aspect of playoff hockey imaginable. Even in the years when teams like the Wings, or the Islanders before their dynasty years, always had previous failures, they never blew a 3-0 series lead. Ottawa could very well be the ones to do it though, given their history.

That is the biggest load of bulls*** I've ever heard. You sir are perhaps one of the biggest morons that has ever surfaced on this board. The Wings have been a consistantly good team for 16 years now. That's how many times they've made the playoffs in a row. They are also one of the most successful teams of the modern era by winning 3 Cups in 10 years. Only the New Jersey Devils have come close with 3 Cups of their own. Pretell what is it that Anaheim has done? Exactly what? They went to the SCF one year and lost. Oh, but wait! THE DUKS GO TO TEH CONFERENCE FINALZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 Like that really means anything. What matters is who wins the Cup, and Anaheim has yet to do that. ...And before you sit on your high horse and call us bandwagoners, where were Ducks fans during the years when they blew dick across the league and where one of the worst teams around? That's right, there weren't any. But after a few years of decent success, oh I'd say about 5 YEARS (sound familier?) they all come out and start going. You guys don't go watch when the Ducks suck either. So doesn't that consider you bandwagoners also? Doesn't it?

We're bias? You sticking up for Pronger when it was clearly headhunting is not bias? Wow. It's nice that the homer Ducks fans such as yourself are still acting like pure morons giving more support to my earlier statements that Ducks fans are at a pretty low end of the food chain. *Note to Duckette and Wild Wing: You guys are exceptions, as both of you have been great since coming here. Don't take my comments personally, as they were not directed at either of you* One other note on Pronger. All the homer Duck fans seem to forget that Pronger is a repeat offender. He blantenly tried to injure Yzerman back in the 2002 playoffs, and a few years ago he was headhunting after Andreas Johansson on Nashville. These two are the biggest reminders of what a cheapshot Pronger is. I'm sure there are other incidents that I probably missed.

This should keep things interesting. Though there really is no way that Buffalo will come back. I know Lindy wants to believe the "33 years" thing, but really, what are the chances? When you think about it though, if Ottawa blows a 3-0 series lead, they will have basically failed in almost every aspect of playoff hockey. They would certainly have a long summer to think about it.

Might as well keep Kopecky in, considering the injury and non-factor that Calder is/was.
-
I know! That's what's so funny about how Anaheim fans talk so much s*** about the Wings not selling out playoff games. They don't realize that about 12 people at the game are true Ducks fans and the rest are Wings fans that live in California.

Oh wow. Brian Propp hasn't been in the league for 13 years now, and what Chelios did happened over 17 years ago. Way to bring up a prehistoric incident that hasn't happened in a long time. Besides, Chelios was a much different player back then. He wouldn't do anything of that extreme magintude now. Pronger has always been a dirty *******. I remember a few years ago when he did a blindside elbow to the head of Andreas Johansson on Nashville. Johansson did nothing to him at all, and even if he did play for Nashville, was not a dirty player. Pronger has no excuse to do this kind of stuff. He just does it because he is such a ***** that he can't actually drop the gloves himself and fight. edited for grammar

Impossible. The media never favors the Wings, nor have they for a long time.

Usually Slovaks are the ones whos names are pronounced like this. Though the Marek Zidlicky example, and he's a czech, is an exception.
-
Good. Finally it's nice to see the NHL grow something between their legs for once. I know Holmstrom came back and everything, but dirty s*** like that shouldn't go unpunished. And it didn't, and I'm happy.

The hearing just started only about a half an hour ago. You probably won't hear a statement until later tonight.
-
KO-PETS-KY That's the way it's said.

What do you want the Wings to do? Fight him? Pronger is indeed a ***** yes, and is a bad fighter, but nobody on the Wings is really suited for fighting. I know we all like to make PAIN TRAIN LOLZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 jokes about Lilja and stuff, but I really don't think he's going to go out of his way to fight someone. Anyways, none of that matters now. What does matter is that Wings dominated the game last night and there is a chance that Pronger will be suspended.
-
Well, that's what he said. By the way, considering Moen is a fighter, how is he one of the most respectable players in the league? Unless he is some nice guy off the ice, I do not him in that catagory.
-
Pronger is a ******* jackass. He better get suspended.

Minus the whole Pronger hit, that was a great game!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad to see the Wings taking it to them on their home ice. It was a thing of beauty watching last nights game. Holmstrom and Hasek were easily the best players on the team last night. They both played awesome. You've got to admire Holmstroms toughness from coming back from the hit too, even if he wasn't seriously injured. Hasek played a great game again tonight too. Also, it's nice to see Bert finally get off the schneids and get a goal. Let's hope we can see some more production from him. We need him to start scoring on a consistant basis
-
Pronger is such an ass. He better get suspended. I know Holmstrom wasn't seriously hurt, but his intent was to injure, and that definitly deserves a suspension.

It's pretty clear Lang will probably leave being a UFA this season. Now, we all know of the "Big 3" avalible in UFA market when it comes to possible centers: Chris Drury, Daniel Briere, and Scott Gomez. But yet, there is one name that is almost as good as these three that is always left out: Mike Comrie For the right price, I think this guy would be a huge upgrade on the second line. I know the Wings have a lot of centers, but Comrie is a good playmaker, and also has the ability to put up decent points. He scored 30 goals last season on a crappy Phoenix Coyotes team, and has also scored 33 goals way back in 2001-2002 with Edmonton. For the right price, which he'll probably command about a little less then what Lang makes now, I think he'd be a great fit here. His asking price would be around 2.5 million, and the Wings should have enough cap room to get him. I'd like to know your take on Comrie. I think he's a great player, and would be a perfect fit for the second line. Obviously the cost factor is also important, and he'd come a lot cheaper then the previous three that are always talked about.

That's true. Leafs tickets are two things: 1. Their expensive as hell, and 2. Their always sold out, despite the price. Most Canadians usually root for other Canadian teams. It's all the same up there. They hate the US. Although I am a bit suprised that most are rooting for Buffalo over Ottawa.
-
I completely forgot about Handzus. He'd be an awesome fit here. His injury concerns me though, but still, he would fit in well. Sundin will not leave Toronto. If he doesn't sign a two-year deal this summer, then he'll go down to a one-year deal. It's basically been confirmed in just about every form of hockey media.
-
"Destroy" is a strong term. However, whether it be Anaheim or Detroit, will take down Ottawa in 6 games. Theres my prediction.
-
Ottawa is playing good, but Buffalo is also playing very bad. Not to mention that Pittsburgh and New Jersey both threw in the towel after Game 2 in each respective series. We'll see how Ottawa matches against a team playing at the top of their game.
-
Maybe league max was a bit to high, but 5 is still low. I see him going for at least 6 million, even if it is a Cup contender.
