When the Sharks and Kings aren't playing, then the Ducks have fans
Kp-Wings replied to a topic in General
Even though you are stooping down to their level in some senses, I do agree with everything you say. And I really don't mind your posts either, since these Ducks fans haven't exactly been the classiest of people since they've come here anyways (In fact, their just being plain assholes). -
Agreed. Sutton would come just as cheap, and he doesn't suck like Belak. I like watching Belak fight, but after that, he's pretty brutal.

The Wings defense is probably good enough to make up for any inexpierence that Backstrom has. Hey, if the Wings can make Manny Legace look good, they should be able to make Backstrom look just as good, if not better.
-
I'd rather not.

There are plenty of people going. Just because it isn't a sellout doesn't mean there are rows upon rows of empty seats. There are a few, but not that many. This whole seat thing is so overblown. Everytime I read the postgame report on TSN, I see they throw some stupid attendance crap in there. I don't get what the big deal. Ticket prices are expensive. That said, there is still a decent amount of people going. You want empty seats? Look at the highlights from the New Jersey Devils first round series against Tampa. Now that is an attendance problem.

The Calgary and San Jose media was the same way. The difference is that the Flames and Sharks had decent fans, while the Ducks fans that have came here in the last few days have been nothing but ******* pricks. You can't even have a logical discussion with these people. They come on here and bring up the same old cliches about the Wings, and are total dicks in the process. Instead of actually discussing anything about the series at hand and give the Wings any chance at all, or at least just be decent about it in general, all they do is come on and say DUKS IN FIVE5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!!!!!1111 But yet, my comments will fall on deaf ears once again, and the Ducks fans will continue to be dickheads like they are now. edited for grammar

He's also injured.

I thought you were one of the people that generally supported Lilja throughout the season. Or was your post just sarcasim?

They don't like the Hockeytown slogan, especially with the so called attendance problems in the playoffs (I really don't notice it, but they do). Couple that with the fact that the Wings are a primarily European team, with a European captain, and being the prude hockey purists that Canadians are, they don't like the Wings. I really didn't get it for a while, but now I can see why. It's stupid really, but hey, that's their opinion. Let them have it.

I have to disagree. Lindros is a vegetable. We'd be lucky to get 30 game out of him. He really isn't all that effective anymore either. Pass. Now, if he did stay healthy, I would be all like PULL THE TRIGGER KENNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

Ducks suck.

Bandwagon is right. One good season and they think their a dynasty now. What will happen next year if the Ducks missed the playoffs? Oh that's right, the arena would be empty and nobody would go. A team like that has no actual loyal fans, just a bunch of stupid s*** bandwagoners, like the ones that have shown their face on this board.

Did you say Winnipeg?

I really don't know why everyone thinks Howard is so great. He hasn't impressed me at all, and his AHL numbers are not all that great. Besides, just because a guy is regarded as the future starter doesn't mean he will be. I remember a fellow by the name of Arin Miller. Once regarded as a future starting goaltender for the Wings in the late 90's, he never even played a single NHL game. That may be a bit beside the point, as Howard has played an NHL game, but it still is a decent comparison. Going with an unproven goaltender at the AHL level is not advised at all. If the Wings choose not to sign anyone, then just go with Osgood. In no way at all should Howard be a starting goaltender though. 4 NHL games, 1 win, and struggeling to make it at the AHL level just won't cut it, not yet anyways. I'm not saying he won't be a future starting goaltender, but at the current time, he's not.
-
Exactly. He can also chip in with some offense, as he is a former 20 goal scorer.

Detroit vs. Anaheim - Detroit in 6 Ottawa vs. Buffalo - Ottawa in 6

I'd be very suprised to see him make the team, even if the Wings aren't active in the UFA front. Kopecky really bottles up the roster, and I'm sure he'll get the nod before Grigs. That's a shame too, because I've always wanted to see what this guy can do.

That is the biggest load of bulls*** I've ever seen. This board is active all the time. You could come in at 3:00 am and it would still be active. Sorry we don't all condone the bashing that you put fourth, that just the way it is. I'm sure other teams message boards (minus LetsGoBlues because their all dumbf***s who don't know how to run a forum) wouldn't let that go on either.

Wow! Samadelphia reborn! One good season and you guys act like your the New York Islanders of the 1980's. I can't wait to see your reaction when the Wings beat the Ducks. But wait: since you'll be like most trolls when your team loses, you'll magically disappear! Fancy that!

I'm suprised they chose this coming weekend to not play any games, considering last weekend was the Kentucky Derby and all that. I'm not seeing any big event on NBC this weekend either, so it makes me wonder also.

Ahaha, if that trade would have actually happened, then yes, revenge would be in order. Any team who gets stuck with that lazy s*** Yashin would be out for revenge on his former team!
