I just Babcock doesn't play regulars when Kronwall comes back and puts him back in the lineup. Kronwall has definitly taken my vote as teams most brutal defenseman. But, this topic is not about him. Ok then. Who, other then Cleary and Draper, has been consistantly better than Lidstrom these playoffs? And yes, you are a bandwagon fan. Coming on here after one bad game and calling for his head makes you one. If this is a situation like Lang or someone, who has a string of bad games put together, then yes, it's justified. Yep. That is the way it works. Some Wings fans are weird people, most notably the post 1997 fans. Most people who were fans before '97 aren't as dumb about things like this.

Anaheim is an awesome team. That is why the Sharks finished #5 in the West. Whether or not the Sharks did good against the Ducks themselves, the Ducks ruled the NHL at various times this season.

Just because a team loses doesn't mean their falling apart. Remember when the Habs were down 3-1 in their series to Boston in 2004 and came back and won 4 straight to take the series? Exactly my point. Just because a team loses one game, don't take them lightly. And no, I really don't think their falling apart. Not yet.

Bertuzzi is a much better player then Kopecky. Huge difference.

My favorite Wing player is Zetterberg, but when he is playing bad, you don't see me pull the crap like what you're doing. I am not afraid to call out his play when he plays bad. I like norrisnick's reaction. If Lidstrom doesn't play perfect, and has but one flaw in a game, everyone is all over him. Just customary or something. Who knows.

My initial reaction was "ANOTHER RIPOFF!!!!!!!!!!!". The ice throwing thing has seen quite a few re-hashes, but none of them usually stick. Wonder if this one will or not. Basing off the way San Jose finished the game, my guess is no. I just thought of something though: It would be funny if a whole group of people hauled in a full sized shark and heeved it onto the ice. I wonder how they'd manage to get if off the ice though.

Why does it make you sick to compliment Lilja? He's not a bad person. He doesn't go around chopping peoples heads off like some of the Calgary Flames, or he isn't a lazy, overpaid slug like Alexei Yashin or something. These are guys that I would probably "hate" complimenting, but I really don't see anything wrong with Lilja as a person, unlike my previous mentions.

Sorry, but we all can't be like you and be morbidly blind homers and deny when he isn't playing as well as he should. Get real. Datsyuk has been much better these playoffs, but now he has to play with the pressure of the contract. Whether he can bring his "A" game, every game, still has yet to be seen. In my opinion, Kenny will have been well advised to wait.

I balk at this comment. Kopecky is unproven, and did not impress me at all during his tenure this year. See my rant in one of the other topics if you don't believe. At this point, Kopecky is a pretty poor replacement.

I wouldn't go as far as the best defenseman on the team, but Lilja sure is playing some great hockey. He is playing like one of the top players on the team right now, and I hope he keeps it up. By the way, what is going on with all the Lidstrom hate right now? Just because he's not shutting the entire opposistion down while reading a newspaper on the toilet doesn't mean he sucks. I guess the Norris Trophy isn't enough to prove to some Wings fans that you are a good defenseman.

Thank you. Finally a Wings fan knows the truth about Kopecky. I don't know where you guys get this thing of "he's so great" and all. Whatever he did in the minors means nothing in the NHL. Heck, Darryl Bootland scored 27 goals last year with GR and I don't see anyone twiddling their thumbs about him not being in the lineup. FYI, Kopecky is not that physical either. An occasional check or two doesn't make him an OMG BIG HITTAR!!!!!!!!!!!111. If anything, there are better free agent options that can play the fourth line better them him. Sorry guys, but I'm not really a big Kopecky fan. 1 goal in 26 games didn't impress me a whole lot, and he was getting less ice time then Hudler. Pass.

Zetterberg has been fairly useless for the majority of this series, with the exception of Game 2. You can tell he is not 100%, and I will back Matt's thoughts here and say he will have back surgery in the offseason. Datsyuk scored the game winner in Game 2, and hasn't been all that bad this series. Still expecting more out him with his elephant sized contract, but he hasn't been horrible.

Yeah, I actually didn't read the article until after posting the topic. I just assumed it would be all about Lilja, what with the titlee and all. Anywho, I'm glad to see him playing so well. He has been great so far these playoffs.

I like Maltby a lot, but 3 years is pretty steep to sign a player that has been on the decline. Still not a bad deal though, since he doesn't make a lot, and is still a very important part of this team. All in all not bad. Though I wonder where Kenny is all of a sudden handing out long-term deals like this, since this is usually not something he does.

I thought the broken hand was just a lie? Or have I missed something? Hudler can go in, but not Kopecky. It's hilarous how everyone thinks Kopecky will come in and be Gretzky or something, and in reality he hasn't skated in an actual game in over 5 months. Bad choice.

He entertains me when he's not talking about the Wings. When he does though, his European racism gets pretty over the top.
