The only action Trotz has ever taken when a guy on the Preds screws up is when Hartnell flipped the bird to the St. Louis bench. And even then, Hartnell wasn't benched or anything. All he he got was a "message" that really didn't mean anything anyways, since that didn't stop Hartnell from being a jackass. Wow. I have to say, you weren't someone I'd expect to make a Don Cherry esque comment like that. So, if Bryan Marchment and Claude Lemieux are added to Team Canada and one of their usual dirty crap, is that considered "sending a message" too?

Our buddy Shanahan would be the main one to blame here. I've really began to dislike Shanahan lately. No, not because he doesn't play here anymore, but because of all these stupid new changes that he would be in favor of. Like I remember when the whole fighting debate was going on, and he really sounded like he wanted fighting gone. And now this? Sorry Shanahan, but you aren't ranked very highly in my book right now.

This comes as no suprise. Anyone who puts on a Nashville jersey all of a sudden becomes a dirty cheap shot. It used to be that way with Philly, but Nashville definitly takes the cake now. Weber is such a jackass. I hope he's gone for the entire tournament.

Unless you're sure he's 100% healthy, how do you know he can/will contribute? He's not Zetterberg, so theres a difference.

I think Shanahan is becoming senile in his older age. What a stupid idea. I love that quote about Yashin winning in a shootout on TSN. If theres a player in the NHL that is easy enough to make any joke about, it's Alexei Yashin.

Sometimes you compare Monroe to Josh Langfeld or something. He's not as useless as you think. While he certainly is not my favorite Detroit Tiger, what would sitting him really do? They won today, but I again missed the game due to being busy. Oh well, considering they won I trust it was a good effort. That, and Rodney didn't blow it again.

Not to be rude, but how many times has he made the same exact giveaway, in which he tries to play the puck and it causes a goal? More then once I'm afraid. I'll let him slide though, since he played pretty solid after that.

I'd be afraid to play Kronwall because he is probably the worst puck-handler on the team. I swear, every time he has the puck it somehow hops over his stick or get's stuck to the ice. Even if he healthy enough to play, I really don't want him back in the lineup.

This love you guys have for Shanahan is bulls***. Do you really think he'd leave the Wings to help them? What a f*cking load of crap! He wanted to leave, God knows why I don't know, but he still did. Like Eva said, If we're all going to boo Fedorov, shouldn't Shanahan be booed too? I plead insanity to know what the difference is between Shanahan and Fedorov. Shanahan, for all we know, could have been blatenly lying to the media with all this crap of thinking he was part of the past. In reality, he probably wanted to leave all along, but to avoid having his head carved like a turkey he lied. Fedorov didn't lie, at least I don't think he did. But I really do think Shanahan lied. If that is the case, which I certianly think it is, doesn't that make him even worse then Fedorov? Not booing Shanahan but booing Fedorov is totally lame. Sometimes I almost think it comes down to a "Canadian vs. European" kind of thing. If it is, and you all like Shanahan better because he's a Canadian, then I better damn well not see another topic complaing about what a racist bastard Don Cherry is, because you are all just as bad. Sometimes I really think this is what it comes down to, and it's a damn shame if it really is the reason.

It will be Bertuzzi. Unless the trend continues of the exact opposite happening of the fate of Samulesson. Just like how we all wanted him benched, and it was Calder instead. In that case, let's hope he does play on the top line. Then maybe he won't!

Langs numbers in Washington the year we got him had nothing to do with Jagr. Jagr, as a matter of fact, was having one of his worst years ever that year. His numbers in Washington have nothing to do with Jagr at all. Once this season is over, the Wings should just cut ties with Lang. Paycut or not, he really doesn't do a whole lot for the team, except score occasionally and be Hudlers landlord. Even if the Wings don't find a better second line center, theres always Filppula.

I thought I'd never say this, but considering how utterly useless Calder has been these playoffs, this comes as no suprise. I guess playing all those years in Chicago has made him forget how to elevate his game in the playoffs.

Wings vs. Rangers is the ideal situation for many. However, you're crazy if you think the Rags are going to beat Buffalo. There is a huge talent dropoff between the two teams. An all Canadian final would probably hurt US ratings, but I'd still watch it. A lot of hockey fans in the US probably would too. I don't mind the Canadian teams, and actually I do root for Ottawa as kind of a secondary team. On a related note, I think the one other positive is it would shut up all these Canadian dumbf***s that think the NHL is becoming too "Americanized". Listening to a bunch of Leafs fans coming off all high and mighty saying every team south of the Mason-Dixon line should be moved to Canada can get very annoying after hearing it a thousand or so times. I think perhaps an all-Canadian final would put these comments to rest, for a short while at the very least.

Lang is lazy and he sucks™ Getting past that, I did give Lang his due for scoring against Calgary. In fact, Offsides even supplied me with a special Lang avatar! In retrospect though, Lang is probably better on the fourth line. Less ice time means less turnovers for the Wings, and that's always a good thing. And because Filppula is awesome and everything, it's only suiting he starts getting more playing time.

Definitly. He is by far the worst skater in the league right now. And if you can believe it, Parker was a first round draft pick! What did Colorado see in him? I have to admit he's a good fighter, but I'm sure he could have slipped all the way into the 10th round and still be avalible. Questionable choice taking him so early.
