Calgary was in the same situation, and where did that get them? Take it where you can get it I guess...
-
Minnesota is not in the same division as the Wings. We play them just as many times as the Sharks do.
-
Yeah, because everybody on the Sharks sits around and reads the Detroit newspapers or injury section on TSN. In all seriousness, I doubt anyone on San Jose even knows he's hurt.
-
True fans being the ones who rob banks to actually afford going?
-
You'd think being a Michigan native he'd take our side. Ah whatever. Since when is Rolston a sports analyst anyways? It's not like he's Jeremy Roenick or someone who always does this kind of stuff.
-
Nabokov is a good goalie. I can't believe some of you guys are saying he isn't.
-
Good one! On topic, like others have said, I doubt Zetterberg really has the flu. The league forbids the whole "Upper Body injury" thing now, so they probably just said this as a coverup for his back, which is probably what's hurting him.

tampa bay might have to trade 1 of their big 3

McLaren might be a decent fit in for a trade for St. Louis, but on the other end I don't think Tampa would want to take on Bell's salary, given the season he's had. Same goes for Nick Boynton in Phoenix, who hasn't played very good this season either. You never know though. They might just figure in the "change of scenery" line if they make a trade like that. And really, a change of scenery does sometimes help. -
I'm noticing one member here, Samadelphia, is forgetting the first, and most important, thing mentioned in this topic. No trolling.

Columbus, Chicago, Minnesota, Nashville, and St. Louis all travel as much as the Wings. While Columbus is the only one in an Eastern time zone besids Detroit, the others still feel the effects of going west.
-
Calder would be the only loss, and he's playing anyways. If Samulesson is hurt, it'll probably help our team more than hurt, since that means Hudler will be in.

Wings in 6. Hey, I go with the trends here.
-
I can't believe that with Yzerman, but I can with Shanahan. Maybe if he was talking about Yzerman of the 80's, but I don't think he was a bad person once he matured. Shanahan, on the other hand, always has to have something to say and get the last word in. He may have a personality, where as a lot of hockey players don't, but his isn't a very good one.
-
Just his personality strikes me as a guy who causes problems. He just doesn't rub me off the right way. I know he's a former Wings and all, but still.
-
I cannot see anytime in the near future that the Rangers make the SCF with Jagr on the team. Combined that with guys like Avery and Shanahan, and you've got to wonder how a team with such a dysfunctional locker room actually even made the playoffs.

I have Comcast, so all is ok with me.

I know. Everyone always forgets this somehow. I guess the negative overtakes the positive here at LGW.

Two of them are untradeable. St. Louis has a no trade clause, and Richards has way too high of a contract. No way is he worth the money Lidstrom makes. Vinny L. is the only one who could possibly be traded, and the Lightning would be nuts to get rid of him. He led the league in goals this year, and is an awesome player. I really don't see any of the big three being traded, since two of them can't and one of them is too good to be traded. -
Not even close to off cue, LGW is in panic mode once again. Zetterberg should be fine. Babcock said he was only resting anyways.
-
I don't want him back. He's a worse puck handler then Lilja, and Lilja has been playing good hockey lately. Leave Kronwall out.
-
Agreed. I honestly can't believe people are coming in here and saying Robitaille sucks just because he doesn't pick the Wings.
-
It would have been our 17th, had there not been a lockout and assuming the Wings would have made the playoffs. The lockout season doesn't count for any of the streaks.
-
So, the Wings are being sterotyped again? No suprises... Guerin is only saying this because he had a good season. If it would have been like last year, where he sucked, he'd have his tail shoved far up his ass right now. Let him talk though. We'll see who's talking in the end.

Oh well. Should have figured this would be the outcome. Wikipedia is really questionable sometimes with the way they except what and what not will be placed on their website.
