Per TSN: McLennan suspended 5 games, Lebda out for Game 6
Kp-Wings replied to Ozzie30's topic in General
If you're going to insult us, at least spell the name of the state properly. I'm going to be very brash on this one: You Flames fans are complaining even more than we are. At Calgary Puck, you guys are saying Wings players should be suspended for any sort of physical play at all. I'm sorry the Wings aren't a bunch of Euro ******* like you guys would have hoped coming into this series, but tough s***. Call us whiners? Go on your own teams forums and just glance at some of the bulls*** that is going on over there. I dare you to do it. But it won't matter, because all Flames fans are such ridiculous homers that you won't see anything from it. Assholes. -
I agree with every point, except Langkow. He didn't get s*** on the play. No penalty, no suspension, no fine. Nothing! At the very least he should have gotten penalized from the play. Iginla should not have been suspended. Look back on my post history and you will see that I've said this all along. Iginla really did nothing too bad on the play at all. If Schneider was hurt on the play, then I'd feel different. But it really didn't have a big effect on anything. I agree with most of your points though. Some of us are being homers to an extreme. But the Langkow incident should have been at least penalized on the play. That's what I'm really made about, is the fact that he got away with nothing.

Man alive. I honestly can't believe you guys are such homers that you don't feel that punch, at the very least, should have gotten a penalty or anything. Langkow didn't get s***, despite the fact that his punch caused Lebda to get a concussion. Ridiculous. -
Definitly. I love Bertuzzi now that he plays for the Wings. He is just the type of player that the Wings have needed for so long. He really played great in Game 4, and didn't let all the booing get to him and effect his game.
-
Damn it!!!!!!!! Lebda's been playing great so far. This is a huge blow. I like Quincey though and don't mind him playing. He did impress me when he was up here for the short time he was. I think pairing him with Chelios would be a good fit. I do take it that Calder will be scratched again tonight though. Very disappointing, as Samulesson, while he did hit a few guys last night, still doesn't impress me much.

That won't happen for a while. He's been avoiding the media like the plague so far. According to TSN he blantly refused to even speak to reporters last night. -
It's disgusting how Flames fans actually support what McLennan did. Even Predators fans, who could very well be the lowest life forms in the NHL (no offence Legionarrie and Dave), even said the play was dirty. I can't believe that Flames fans are such idiotic blind homers that they cannot realize how dirty it was. If a Red Wing would have done something like that, I would definitly call that player out and say how dirty they are, even if they do play for the team I root for. Flames fans can go to hell. I can't believe these people are that big of f-ing homers. I guess they all watch Grapes too much or something. Ridiculous.

Woo! You tell 'em Kenny! Good job!

Langkow should have gotten suspended too. Lebda was injured from the play, and even TSN's Darren Dreger thought Lebda's hit was clean and Langkow's punch was dirty. Ugh. It's good that McLennan was suspended and all, but he really means nothing to that team. Calgary will probably call Brent Krahn up from the AHL to be the backup tonight anyways, so losing McLennan really means nothing to them. It is interesting to see Playfair and the entire Flames organization be fined from this, but it really does nothing all much either. Oh well. -
I love Dan Cleary. He played out of his mind tonight, and has been this whole series. Great job Danny!

Ok. Scratch "he" with "she" then and all will be good. -

Hey Matt, or any of the mods. Does this "Hockeygal" member have the same IP address as tangstoiggy? I'm getting a strange feeling that he's back, in the same stupid form. -
And to your delight, you'd see about 50 more Nashville ticket problems and moving to another city threads, courtesy of LGW!

Sounds just like Grapes. He hates the Wings. Now that Yzerman has retired, he has an excuse now too. He'd always let the lack of gritty Ontario/Alberta/BC/Manitoba born Canadians go before because Yzerman was on the team. Now that Yzerman has retired, it's given him free range to be hatin' (heh ) because the Wings star players are Euros (God forbid in his eyes ). I really don't care if Grapes hates the Wings. It just makes him sound even stupider because of the fact that he likes some of the worst teams in the league simpily because they have gritty Canadians. He could care less if a team is successfull. He can only like them if they have Canadian born players that block shots and don't wear visors.

Grapes is an idiot. I can't believe you guys can even take him serious. I only listen to him anymore because he provides me with some good comedy.

That's not the case at all. Just look at the San Jose-Nashville series. Why do think Hartnell didn't get suspended for his knee-on-knee on Cheechoo? Because Cheechoo didn't get hurt. But Radulov did get a suspension for his hit on Steve Bernier, because Bernier was hurt on the play and missed time. If it's a dirty play, and the player on the recieving end is injured, then a suspension is put into place. If no injury is assesd from the play, then usually there is no suspension. Simple as that. I'm glad we could clear that up. -

When did I swear at you? Or call you an animal? I really don't think the hit was that dirty. Call me a homer or what you will, that's just the way I feel. Whether or not he could have done without taking out Langkow's legs remains to be seen. Fact of the matter is though, since when does Langkow get free range to throw punches at Lebda's face? This is what I'm most mad about, is the fact that what Langkow did was totally uncalled for. If Lebda has indeed suffered a concussion from this, Langkow better damn well be suspended for the punch. Langkow didn't get hurt, by the way, at least not to my knowledge. -
Is this only spectualtion, or do you know for sure it was planned? Must of us, like you, think it was also but have no sure fire proof. It would be nice if we did though. We could nail Jim Playfair for this one.

Who's not? The Calgary media? Well suprise suprise! Never saw that coming! You're no different then any other Flames fan. You guys have one of the dirtiest players of your own in Iginla. Yet, because he is such a nice guy off the ice, the crap he pulls on the ice means nothing. Not to mention the fact that he's such a ***** that he fights with a visor! So please, before we start pointing fingers here and calling Lebda dirty, just look at your own team. Dare I mention Jamie McLennan again? Or Brad Stuart? Yeah, thought so. -

Barry Melrose, along with most forms of hockey media, doesn't like the Wings. Him saying that hardly suprises me at all. In fact, it really doesn't. -

End the guys career? Isn't that a little out of complex? Langkow clearly got the worse shot in. If Lebda is seriously injured on this, and does have a concussion, they Langkow better damn well be suspended. I really didn't think he needed to be suspended before, but if Lebda is injured at all, they he better be. -
I really didn't feel the need too. Your posts here have been so idiotic, I thought it was just the McLennan shot. On regards to Hasek, it was not a spear. He didn't even touch him. I'm sorry if Captain Visor is such a ***** that even when a stick doesn't touch he gets all pissy and hurt, but that's beyond my control. And to add, a homer is someone who is biased to their own team in situations (like the McLennan shot) that they actually agree with what the player on the team they root for did, dirty or not.
-
I think it's Kristian Huselieus. I'm not completely sure though.
-
No, not from what I've seen. Hopefully the radio feed or something else picked up on his comments on McLennan, and the Flames dirty s*** in general.
