DAMN IT!!!!!!!! Ok, no need to panic... yet. The Wings played great in Game 1. Hopefully they can match the intensity and physical play in Game 2 without Bertuzzi.

After hearing that this was the first playoff game he's ever missed in his career, I really do feel bad for him. He left me with so many memories, with the brawl, the Cup clinching goal against Philly, and a whole bunch of other things he's done here. Now I look at him, and he's a fossil. It took 4 regular players in Calgarys lineup to be scratched just so he could dress in their season finale against Colorado. It really feels weird considering what an important player he once was. And this goes on this list of all he's went through this year, with how he lost all his money, being divorced, and the injury that really cost him the season. I would actually like to see him play at least one game in this series for the Flames. No, not because he is a fairly ineffective player now but to at least see how he could fair against us. He's always been one of my favorite players, even since he left. I'm sure he'd get a standing ovation from the crowd at The Joe if he does play a game there in this series.

Not true. Bertuzzi is a Wing, and is still hated by people here. Tootoo would probably be in the same boat if he ever played for the Wings.
-
Tonight they were basically forced to talk about it, since no Eastern Conference teams played today. They were still throwing stuff in about the East though, so I guess some things never change.

It's funny how one bad game can turn seemingly decent people into true morons. Jiggy_12 is an exception, as he is still being cool about it, and being a decent poster. You, on the other hand, are doing nothing but trolling. If you want to keep it up, then I suggest you get the f*ck out, because we don't want to here. Somebody try to keep an eye on this guy. Nothing ruins the forum more than fans of other teams who come on here and troll and say stupid s*** like he is saying now.

Damn. No late night crew tonight. Ok guys. Not much to really talk about. Score was close, but Anaheim dominated the game in my opinion. I was hoping Minnesota would drag the game on into overtime (and get the late night crew back out! ) but unfourtantly it didn't happen. Oh well, maybe next time.

I hate Nashville. I just hate the way they play. If they actually showed some balls and fought people, tha'd be one thing. But all they do is go around running at people and carving them like turkeys with their stick. The style they play is disgusting. I hope someone on San Jose has about enough of this s***, and puts one of these assholes through the glass. They deserve it.

I think Lilja and Captain Visor would be a pretty good fight. I don't know if Lilja can clean out win, but he would probably put up a good fight.
-
It's not his fault he was an ineffective player here. He was never given a chance. Good signing by the Hurricanes. Whitney is a great player, and had a very good season this year.
-
Come on! The Pain Train would pound Phaneuf! You should know very well that was sarcasm. If you didn't, shame on you. Nothing against Lilja, since I do like him a lot more since he started playing physical and fighting people. But he really would be outmatched against Phaneuf.

He hasn't yet. Well, ok, it's only be one game. But knowing Langs habits, he'll be more busy eating cheeseburgers and donuts in the back out of focus.
-
Hats off to Marty Turco with a great game tonight. Proving the doubters wrong, and in the best way, a shutout. Good job tonight Marty.
-
Now if Regehr can stay injured we should be in good shape.
-
He won't play.
-
Do you really think going after someone for a clean hit is playoff hockey? It's more like ******* hockey. Leave that job to Sean Avery or somebody like that. Yes, that's correct.
-
Ready! Maybe we'll get another late one tonight. Come on HOH! You're the centerpiece of the whole crew! We need you!
-
Good post. That sums it up pretty well. Iginla should have challenged someone who would have actually fought him, like Markov or Lilja. Going after a guy like Zetterberg, who doesn't fight, is pretty stupid. And classless at that.

It's really an obscure question to begin with though. Naslund, for one, is probably one of the highest overpaid players in the league, right up there with Yashin, Khabibulin, and a handfull of others. Second, we'd be asking to give a lot for an aging player. Do you really think a guy like Naslund is worth giving up a whole load of prospects? And third, trading Bertuzzi back to Vancouver (which the way he worded it was how he sounded) makes no sense at all. They already traded him once, and even before they traded him they were majorly shopping him around, mainly because they didn't want him anymore. It makes no sense at all for the Canucks to want Bertuzzi back, since they were the ones who wanted him gone.

TSN has rejected my posts before also. Their just a bunch of whiny ass canadians that are crying in their beer because the all mighty Calgary Flames were beatin by those Euro puss Red Wings (which is how they view us). It's disgusting some of the bias that goes on at TSN. I still go there for game reviews, and a few other stuff like that, but really, it sickens me sometimes with the amount of bias that goes on there.

Agreed. I understand that his team was losing and all, but he went way over the line a couple of times there. One of the funniest things was that he actually thought Zetterberg was going to throw down the gloves and fight him. And really, what did Zetterberg do to him that made him so mad anyways? Captain Visor will get his ass kicked by Bertuzzi. Maybe not in a drop the gloves fist fight, but Bertuzzi will lay him out with a big check. Wait and see.

This should be a non-issue. Even though Hudler has been playing decent, he is the obvious choice to be scratched. As much as most of you hate Sameulsson, you have to realize he has basically been here longer and will play. Hudler is a rookie, and since Babcock likes Filppula better (I think anyways), Hudler will be the odd man out in this situation. I can't believe people propose sitting Maltby all the time. Do you honestly think Babcock will sit Maltby, who is one of Babcocks favorite players, for Hudler, who Babcock is seemingly fond of criticizing? It'll never happen. Hudler will be the one sat.

I'm not a huge Mikael Samulesson fan, but he is a lot better than Williams. At least, to a certain degree, Samulesson has a decent shot. Williams, at least I thought, had a pretty weak shot compared to Samulesson. On another note, playing the point on the PP also gives him a reason to take fruitless shots now, as they could go in, so more power to him!
-
He played a little with Edmonton last year, and a few years ago he played with Colorado. He has been primarily a minor leaguer though.
-
No, TSN is not part of the Comcast cable package. It's only in Canada.

That's a pretty good deal then. I think tickets to a Wings playoff game at those locations would be near about $150 or some other ridiculuos amount.
