Exactly. I miss McCarty a lot, but I don't really want him back in the form he is in now. He really doesn't do anything anymore. He would be more of a lieability than a helping factor.

Two things you miss on the attendance. One, the Michigan economy is far, far worset than the Tennesse economy. People in Tennesse have more money to spend, because there are more jobs and more people working. In Michigan, half of the state is unemployed right now. And secondly, have you seen how much the tickets cost to go to Wings playoff game? Compare that to the prices for a Preds game, and you will say why nobody is going. I remember you said you payed about $20 for your tickets. And these I assume are decent seats too. Do you know how much one standing room ticket costs to go to a Wings playoff game? $68. That's right. One standing room ticket costs $68. And I go back to the economy thing again, as that is too much money. Now, I know you explained why people didn't go and you know about the ticket prices and such, but you really have no idea how bad of shape this state is currently in. It's not funny at all.

Tampa has no goaltending at all. Holmqvist was pretty brutal out there. It seems like the only thing he really excells in is shootouts, but that strength of course being completely moot in the playoffs. Apparently Marc Denis has been so bad this season, he is now the #3 goalie. That's right. He was brought in to be the #1 goalie, and now they don't even dress him for games. And to think that the Lightning gave up Fredrik Modin, a pretty good scorer, for a #3 goalie. I have no idea how this Karri Rammo would fare in the playoffs. He's a rookie though, so it may not be a good idea to be playing him. Then again, age didn't prove a factor for Patrick Roy and Cam Ward though. If Holmqvist continues to struggle like he did tonight, Tampa might want to give him a shot.

You people and the empty seats. I swear, it's like a dog whistle or something. The attendance wasn't that bad. There were a few empty seats here and there, but it's not like entire rows were unfilled. Besides, the energy level of the crowd shadowed all that anyways. There will be empty seats people. Just deal with it. Unless Mike Illitch lowers these outrageous ticket prices, which he won't, there will be empty seats. It's just too much money that you're going to spend on one night in a state where the majority of the population are currently out of work as it is. 10 years ago, this would have been a non-issue, because the economy was decent. But at this point in time, it is an issue.

Calder would have to be aged by a few years, because the last time Lindros was any good he wasn't in the league yet!

I tend to forgive people of past reprements once they become a Red Wing. Honestly, I never really liked Bertuzzi at all before he came here. He was a real pain to play against. The Steve Moore thing was just kind of a "Well, what a jerk" situation when I looked at it. But now that Bertuzzi is a Wing, all is forgiven in my book.

Is that you Eklund? Where do people get this stuff anyways? We might as well bring those Williams and Lilja for Ryan Smyth rumors out while were at it.

Eric Lindros, in his hayday, is a 100 times better than Lang. Same with John Leclair over Franzen. Sorry, no dice on this one. And besides, Calder is a second liner. That is where he stays.

I have to say, Playfair is one of the mellowest guys I've ever seen. The Flames played pretty bad, and all he did was scratch his chin! He didn't get vocal or anything. Now, let's keep it that way Jimmy!

Actually, just the end of the game. I was listening to most of the game on the radio, because I was out last night. I got home in I think the 10th inning, or something around that time. So no, I guess my judgement doesn't count for this game, since I didn't watch the game entirely.
