I think we're underscoring the Islanders a little here. Even without DiPietro, their still a pretty good team. They have some solid scoring with Blake, Satan, Sillenger, and Smyth. If they could just get Yashin to produce on a consistant basis, like many know he can, they would be extremely deadly. Defensivly they got some pretty good physical guys like Witt, and some good offensive defenseman like Tom Poti and M.A. Bergeron. And in goal, Wade Dubielewicz has been excellent down the stretch here. I don't know if they can beat Buffalo, but they will certainly put up a good showing, and it should be an exiting series.

Wow, you're still here? I would have figured that with all the ripping you get for your Bertuzzi complaints, you would have gone the way of the dinosaur by now.
-
Unless the Wings fall apart, ticket prices will never come down.
-
I'll take either Oliwa or Wiemer. They fight! Wiemer was actually a scoring threat in juniors. Last I heard he had knee surgery over the summer, the same kind Yzerman had in the 2002-2003 season. I wonder if he'll ever play again. Now that we're talking about former Flames, shall I add Benoit Gratton into the mix?
-
At this point though, Miner may be the better option. If today was any implication of how Durbin will play here, then we need to get rid of him, fast. Miner really won't be long term anyways. Once we get Rogers back, that should push either Durbin or Miner down the depth chart.

McCarty. He is a slug now yes, but I'd still like to see him given a chance. He'll always be one of my favorite players, no matter what. Woah! Norris trophy candidate right there! With Buzek as the favorite, I guess Dwayne Hay is out of the picture then?

Report: Barry Smith accepts Russian coaching position
Kp-Wings replied to Anomalously's topic in General
I was another who always felt Barry was a better coach than Lewis. He could, for some reason, just never catch a break in the NHL as a head coach. Good luck Barry! -
Hatcher was probably one of the worst signings in Wings history. Yes, I said history. He was hurt half the year, and when he came back he was a friggen' slug out there. Bleh. Just imagine if he played like he did in Dallas. He was such a good player in Dallas. I was really exited when he signed here, but he was a major disappointment.

Nilson is an inconsistant hitter. He'll hit for a few games, then stop, then start hitting again. I would almost compare to him Maltby, except he really doesn't agitate or piss people off like Maltby does.
-
He'll probably play. As I look at some of these reports, and more of the rumors of this being a trick on Calgary, it's more than likely he will play.
-
I *would* certainly like to go. However, given the price of tickets, parking, yada yada yada, and everything else, I can't. I have other things I need to spend my money on unfortantly. Plus I really don't have a whole lot of money to begin with.

I mostly base this off of what others said. Still though, neither has impressed me when I've seen them. Granted I hardly ever watch the Preds, I only do when it had to do with them and the Wings fighting for the division, but I've seen games where they looked real bad.
-
Agreed. Miner is a good enough replacement at this point. Miller looks pretty good in the minors, but I feel the Tigers should give him a little more time to develop right now. Durbin doesn't impress me at all right now. It's still early, but maybe Miner should be given a little consideration if Durbin doesn't pick it up.

I don't. I still feel they have an edge on Nashville though, simpily because of goaltending. Both Vokoun and Mason have had a hard time becoming the #1 goalie this year. If they both don't step it up, San Jose will win.
-
Most sources claim Bertuzzi will undergo more tests tomorrow and Wednesday. We'll know for sure by then. Great news about Zetterberg. I can't wait!
-
Those reporters sound like my dad. I go to visit him yesterday, and he goes on and on about how the Wings will lose to Calgary. Make me wonder if he even likes the Wings. I know the Wings will prove them wrong. They've got what it takes this year. Go Wings!
-
Is there any room for him on Calgarys roster though? Last night, McCarty was in only in the lineup because the Flames had four guys, including Iginla, resting that game. Besides, most of the rookies, like David Moss for example, have outperformed McCarty in every sense. McCarty missing so much time to injury really didn't help either.
-
This will be one tight series, that's for sure. I see it going the extra mile. I say Wings in 7. Each team will probably win all their home games, which is what it'll come down to.
-
If Nashville can find some goaltending, I see them taking the series. Unfortunately for Nashville though, both Vokoun and Mason have been pretty sketchy the whole season. If they play the way they've been as of late, San Jose will take the series, and pretty quickly for that matter.
-
I would very suprised if McCarty does play. He is a dinosaur now. Other than bringing leadership, and maybe a fight or two, he really brings nothing to the table.
-
I guess that also goes for the Wings, eh? Welcome to LGW! Enjoy yourself!
-
McGoo will be dead before he isn't scheduled for a playoff game. As long as we don't get him, I have no problem.
-
Yay. I like our broadcasters, as they are so much better than the guys on Versus.
-
If not for a bad score yesterday, I may have won this week, considering my strong showing on Saturday. Oh well, theres always next season. I'm satisfied. Considering I started my picks about midway through the season, 103 was a pretty good score, so I'm happy with that. Congrats to you Aussie_Wing on winning!

Belfour is no suprise, but I was a little suprised to see Ville Peltonen involved. He's not that bad of a guy. Must be from just being with Belfour.
