One of the guys Carolina got in that trade, being Eric Belanger, isn't even with the team anymore. Just makes them look even worse. Looking forward to seeing Johnson play in the NHL. Let's see how he does.

You are, perhaps, the biggest Samulesson hater here. And yet, you are also right at that same time.
-
Are you serious? Hartnell? Hartnell is a dick. He'd never fit in on this team. That'd be like brining in Tootoo. It won't work.

Your perception on Grigorekno is probably the worst thing I've ever seen. Do you know anything about him? You can't possibly say you do, because if you did, you would know he's playing Russia right now. That's why he hasn't been called up. I have not read the rest of your post yet, as your thoughts on Grigorenko, whom you've more than likely never seen play, makes me not want to.

I hardly doubt Bettman knew what hockey was as a kid. Or it could be what you said too. Wouldn't suprise me if it was.

I would be more worried about Toskala than Nabokov. Toskala has it in for the Wings, as so proof in many times this season.

Anything can happen. Don't be so sure of it.

I agree, he has been playing well lately. I almost wonder if the Pens will play him in the playoffs. I was stating what happened to him in Montreal. He started off pretty good and everyone loved him. The next season he struggles a little and everyone wants his head. It's really pathetic what goes on up there with the goaltending.

Theodore and Thibault come to mind vividly here.
-
Believe it Blueland? Is that supposed to come from those light blue jerseys?
-
Where are you getting this stuff from? He said the Wings did deserve the call. For you coming all bold saying that a ton of Wings go over to your board and start crap, you seem to do it a lot here. I don't know what your problem is, but just shut up already.

Samulesson has been a dunce since he's come back. His shootout attempt against Columbus made me want to break his neck. I swear, he showed absolutly no effort and took one of his patented useless shots from the top of the circle. Ugh. I used to support the guy, but lately he has really sucked. Unless he picks it up, I'm all for benching him.

The majority of the Wings playoff slogans have aired on the side of lame numerous times. Somehow it doesn't suprise me it does again. As someone pointed out before though, the Wings last three Cups have came on the years when the Wings had some of the lamest ones. Could we see another one this year? Is it a sign? Hmm...

I would surely welcome Schenider back if he accepts something under 2 million. His offensive presence is important to our PP. However, he is very bad in his own end. Anything above 2 million, and I might just say let him walk.

Hardly, at least when I'm over there. And yes, it is ironic I do visit the site on a *semi* regular basis even though I do bash it quite a bit. My point is this though: Every time somone mentions the Wings it sets up a chain reaction of prized trolling. It seems like even if they go about as a mention this brings it all out. My favorite one is the famous "All male Wings fans are *** *******" joke that quite a few of you seem to have a field day with. I understand if you do make fun of the ******* Wings fans that go over there just to stir things up. They do it here, and I really don't like listening to it, because it makes all Wings fans look like jerks. But I've seen some of it done purely unmerited, and it really comes out of nowhere. I've seen it be aimed at even the decent Wings fans, which really bugs me, because they don't deserve to be flamed just because they root for a team that you guys don't particulary like. If it was deserved, and somebody goes on there and says "The Blues are the Wings ***** lolz!!!!!!!!!!!!!11oneone2" or some stupid crap like that, then by all means go after him. The Blues winning the season series is pretty much proof that they aren't. But really though, sometimes the flaming that goes at some of the better Wings fans is not called for. I also like to point up another example here: Most of you guys over there feel Wings fans can't have a normal discussion about hockey because we all seem to be uneducated morons that didn't know the NHL existed before 1996. That kind of stuff really irritates me. A few stupid idiots that go over there shouldn't put a label on the decent fans that try to act civilized. I don't know what else to say. This is really what I see that goes on over there. And this is why I'm so critical of the sight, the uncalled for flaming to people that sometimes don't deserve it. By the way, I never said you edited anyones post or whatever that was. That was someone else in the topic.

Your fire Ferguson plans aren't going so well eh Mack? They won tonight!

I already got a call on at least 5 topics tomarrow: "JLA crowd" (you already called that one) "Look what somebody posted at LetsGoBlues!" "Bertuzzi is such a thug, I will never watch the Wings now because of him!" "Av's announcers are such homers" "The reffing is terrible!" Don't let me down guys!

If you're talking about FSN, no they didn't have the game. FOX 2 Detroit covered the game today.

Rita is playing in Finland. He currently has 32 goals and 20 assists, combining for 52 points in 56 games. He might get another shot in the NHL next year with Pittsburgh if he keeps this up. Mikhnov started the season with Edmonton and played only 2 games (and hardly any minutes thanks to MacTavish). He had 18 points (6 goals, 12 assits) in 27 AHL games this season before returning to Russia. I've heard that unless the Oilers trade Mikhovs NHL rights, he will stay in Russia next year.

Falloon still had a few decent years in the NHL. His rookie season he scored 25 goals, and had a few 20 goal seasons after that too. I agree though, there are way better choices to compare as busts than Cleary. At least Cleary has become a solid NHL player. Take a look at these three, all drafted #4 overall in their respected drafts. Pavel Brendl: 78 career games, 22 career points. Jason Bonsignore: 79 career games, 16 career points. Alex Volchekov: 2 career games, 0 career points. As I already stated, these are much better choices to consider as a bust or compare to Daigle than Cleary. There are plenty of others I imagine too.

If Edmonton loses enough games, Chicago or Columbus might just pass them up in the stadings. If that happens, it will really show what a fluke last years run was for them. By the way, MacTavish should be fired. He is a horrible coach. He has absolutly no control of that team at all. What's one reason Edmonton has been so bad over the last few years? Their first round draft picks have been busts. Why have the been busts? MacTavish. He refuses to play guys who aren't fourth line grinders. Just look at some of the recent players who have been busts because of MacTavish: Mike Reisen, Jani Rita, Matthieu Descoteaux, Mike Henrich, Alexei Mikhnov, and probably soon for considermate, Jesse Niinimaki and Robbie Schremp. That's 7 first round picks down the drain because MacTavish didn't like them, and in the two latter cases, doesn't like them now. He hates skilled players, just because they don't always go in the corners, and his coaching style is horrible. A good balenced mix, which is what that team would be if they had a good coach, is what wins. Not a bunch of Ethan Moreau clones. Two or three of those kind of guys are good, but not a whole team filled with them. Edmonton will get nowhere as long as MacTavish is at the helm. They can continue to draft guys like I mentioned, who are very good goal scorers, but if MacTavish is coach they will never live up to their potential because he only likes to play 4th line grinders. edit: yeah my post is long. It's late, and I'm bored. Gave me something to do by researching all those first round draft picks.

As I look at the hit again, I do change my thoughts. Neiminen was rocketing right at him, and should have pulled up or eased into the hit a little, not blasted him. I don't really feel a 20 game suspension should warrent or anything like that, but something like at least 3 games should make the point. Neiminen has done this sort of thing multiple times. I could understand if this was the first time, but it's not.

You better have!

It's a tough competition. Who ended up being the biggest bust. Considering Daigle highest point totals were 100 off from what was expected of him, while Clearys were more in the 75 to 80 points away from getting what was expected to him. That being said, Daigle was indeed the bigger bust.
