Interesting the Pens are going with Thibault again. He's had quite a few starts lately. I doubt he'd actually be the Pens goalie come playoff time, but it really makes you wonder if somethings going on with Fleury.

I thought you would surely say Sven Butenschon not making Vancouvers roster would be the biggest disappointment for you.

Given the current conditions he is in, being that he lost his starting job to a rookie (Budaj) and with the amount of money he makes that probably wouldn't be a good idea. If he could ever redeem himself he could be a very good goalie, but more than likely no. He's had such a bad past couple years, it's very unlikely he'll redeem himself. The most likely case for Theodore: He'll be waived and offically be the highest payed goalie in the AHL. The way the rumors look, that might just happen.

That's probably the only way he'd get in the lineup though. Think about it. Do you really think Babcock will bench a more expierenced player (Maltby for example, since everyone likes to use his name) for a fairly inexpierenced player in Kopecky? Most likely no.

I honestly can't imagine where Kopecky would fit in the plans for this years playoffs. Unless Babcock is gonna rotate him, Hudler, and Filppula for each game, I do not see how Kopecky can get in the lineup. And for that matter will he be able to play at the top of his game? He's been gone for 4 months now with an injury that has the potential to end someones career. It really makes me wonder how he'll be able to play come playoff time. Beside all that, it is good Kopecky was re-signed. If he can get his game back, he is good to use as a third or fourth liner, as he has decent physical abilitie.

Agreed. Lyle at least posts things that have been mentioned around the trade blocks for a little while. Eklund just pulls random crap right out of his ass. His Pascal Leclair to Minnesota rumor is enough proof of that. I like Spectors because what you see on there is what has been talked about over that little period of time. Anything Eklund says is either a pure lie, or something TSN or any other hockey website has already stated earlier in the day.

I don't even know where I'm at. I was great Friday, getting all but one. I imagine I did terrible yesterday, but I didn't catch all the scores yet. I'm already 0/2 today, so who knows if I'm in for a very good finish. I'll just wait for Aussie to post the final results. TSN takes the scores down to early, so I really don't feel like looking all over for yesterdays games.

I never questioned it would happen, nor did I say he would be dumped. I said I would be uncomfortable if he the starter. The injuries have obviously played a part of it, but Ozzie has struggled even against the worst of teams this year. His really only solid performances have been against Nashville this year, even in the one they lost (Forsbergs goal was very lucky). He is a good goalie, and I am not one of the ones coming on here saying "omg ozy suks lolz!!!!!!11". The fact though, is that he hasn't been a starting goalie in almost 3 seasons now, and in his time with the Islanders and St. Louis he was very inconsistant, at least from what I've seen. Could he be a starter again? Yes he could. But will he be solid enough for a whole season? I don't know.

Who do you have in mind? Biron? He's the only one I can think of.

I have a suggestion: Wait until after the playoffs. And I'd like to ask once again: Why is everyone so afraid he'll go to Washington? The Capitals haven't signed a big priced free agent since Jagr, and he was such a bust there that GM George McPhee has stated NUMEROUS times that the Capitals were going to stricly re-build through the draft. More than likely Datsyuk will not sign with Washington. Just because Eklund can pull out these rumors from the far corners of his ass doesn't make them true.

I hope Hasek is able to come back and play again. Despite his antics, he is a very good goalie. I'll be honest here: an Osgood/Howard tandem would be awful. Nothing against Ozzie, but I don't think he can handle starting minutes like he used to. He is a good backup, but I don't know if he has enough to be a starter. Howard only has 4 NHL games to his credit. Having him be a starter is not a very good option either.

At the current time it is, as Eva just stated pretty much all the reasons. Here's another: The MTS Centre, which is the biggest arena in Winnipeg, has a seating capacity of about 11,000. Most NHL arenas average around 17,000. Unless they want to expand the seating, which is a major pain the ass, they also don't have an arena to put the team. What's the point of expanding a team to a city that doesn't have a big enough arena to put them in, where as places like Kansas City and Houston do?

You thought the Wings-Av's games were good this year? I thought they were boring as hell. Guess it's just a matter of opinion. I see the only way the Av's would make it is if Calgary went on a long road trip at the end of the season. I don't think they do though, so I highly doubt they'll make it.
