While in theory this sounds like a good plan, it really isn't. Right now, we'd probably sign him for around 6.5 (which is still way too much). If he performs in the playoffs, he'll ask for a clean 7 million. Really though, it's hardly a difference.

Is Kronwall your favorite player? By the way, I'd take Bouwmeester in a heartbeat over Kronwall.

I'm totally against doing this. If Datsyuk blows in the playoffs (again) then we'll be paying top dollar for a guy that will take the rest of the season off after April. In other words if he sucks then let him walk. That's my view on it.

Poor guy. He's had a hard season. If he does play again, he needs to get out of Montreal. Their killing him up there. If he gets out, he'll have a career resurrection and be a very good player again.

I was happy with the trade. I knew Calder was a good player with Chicago. I complemented Holland for that trade. Plus at the same time we finally got rid of Williams.

One of the reasons that Preds fans don't like the Wings and talk a lot of crap about them is because their fighting the Wings for top spot in the division and conference. They would do the same thing if, say, Columbus was a good team. It's not just because it's the Wings. No matter who it is, they wouldn't like that team. And well, that's how a true fan is. Are you going to get mad at them for that? And quite frankly, I really don't care if Nashville copied the throwing things on the ice tradition. The only team that I don't care for doing it was Florida, because of the fans stupidity of throwing so many at once caused the delay of game rule to be put into effect. They do have a neat story behind it though, with the whole Scott Mellanby thing, so I guess it evens out.

He hasn't been great, but he's doing his job. He actually didn't do too bad in his fight against Jeremy Reich on Boston. If Norton would have fought Reich, Reich would have smoked him. Plain and simple. Come playoff time, I wouldn't mind seeing Bootland play in a game or two. He's sure a lot better than Langfeld.

Maybe the Sabre-Toothed Tiger ate catfish. I don't know, I'm trying to think of reasons here!

Yeah, that Chicago team (2001-2002) was the only good team he played for in his entire career before coming here. IMO they did make the playoffs that year. I think he's doing great here. Calder is quickly becoming one of my favorite Red Wings. He works hard every shift.

Next Thursday (the 22nd) against Columbus.

What do you mean by that? Are we supposed to say what a pure talent Jordin Tootoo is, and how he is such a dominant power forward that can do it all? Because if I said any of that it would all be pure lies.

I'm suprised that being you're from the south you know anything about Bootland or the Wings or hockey in general you toothless hillbilly. There, satisfied?

Tootoo is ****. Wings better pick it up here. They are being majorly outshot, and have had no sustained pressure. All in all a poor effort. Let's just hope they pick it up.

He is a lazy player. While he has shown some minor flashes here and there, he is not worth the money that he will probably ask for. He is lazy, and never wants to work. And that my friend, is not worth almost 4 million.

Are you not noticeing the givaways he makes? In this recent stretch, he's looking more and more like Lilja. Ok, Kronwall doens't turtle like Lilja. And he is (somewhat) more physical. But come on. Just watch him closely. Many of his attempted passes out of the zone usually result in a turnover. He has yet to do anything to really impress me. And where is this offense that people speak of? ONE GOAL. Right now, he's on pace to have less goals than Lilja did last year. And even though Lilja did play all 82 games, does that really matter in his case?

What the hell are you complaining about? It's not like they are giving the #1 overall pick to Toronto just because their canadian. Of course, Bettman is very anti-canadian. So he'd probably give the pick to Carolina or Nashville.
