Great signing. Nice to have a guy like Cabrera locked up long term.

I have UNC over UCLA in the finals. I'm not a big follower on college basketball, but I watch it more around this time of year. No pools for me though, since I don't have the best of luck in that stuff.

Avery isn't married, and he doesn't have kids. It's wrong that married guys do it, but if their single, then I don't see what the big deal is. But that's just my opinion; take it one way or another.

Great pics Reem! I wish I could have made it down there today, but because of work, it was too difficult to do so. I'm always one of the ones vining for more open practices for the public, so it figures that the one day they actually have one, I had to work all day. Glad you had a great time, though.

Who else are you going to play instead? Who is it exactly that you want playing? The only other guy I can think of Downey, and because Babcock refuses to give him any ice time after the 2nd period (with hardly any minutes in between), he's not going to have any impact. There is also McCarty, but unless McCarty all of a sudden becomes the 1997 McCarty, and makes Chris Pronger look like the next Janne Niinimaa on a breakaway, he'll have even less of an impact. He's extremely out of shape, and needs at least a full season to get back into the swing of things. Those are really the only two options, unless you bring somebody up from GR. Who that would be is hard to say, since they sucked this year, and really don't have anybody that could be brought up, and make a meaningful impact for the Wings in the playoffs. I agree about your opinion of Hudler; I hate him personally, and think he's one of the most useless players on the Wings roster. But, there is really nobody else better than him that you can play, so therefore, it's really not worth talking about if the Wings playoff hopes if Hudler get's played, or benched. I'd rather see the Wings play Downey, because the Wings need all the toughness they can get. But, based off of what he's gotten this season, it's doubtful Babcock chooses him over Hudler.

Hudler is definitly one of the least useful players in the lineup, but even that considered, him either being in the lineup or not being in the lineup will hardly make a difference.

Somebody cue Eliot Spitzer. I really don't see what the big deal is. Avery isn't married or anything, so he's not obligated to stick around with only one woman. Besides, atheletes do this sort of stuff all the time, so it's nothing new. Oh jeeeeeeeeeez!

Dire Straits - Money for Nothing

Kopecky has team toughness though.

The real disappointment was the fact that there were, once again, 0 fights. This is a meaningless loss, because we all know the Wings are going to make the playoffs. One loss to St. Louis, albeit a really bad one, doesn't mean anything. Legace showed up to play in a no-pressure situation, which he always does. Let's just see how well he does in a playoff pressure situation with... oh, that's right... the Blues will be missing the playoffs again for the 3rd straight season. What a shame. The funny thing now will be reading the Blues fans reactions to this. Despite their pathetic team missing the playoffs again, they'll be breaking out the champaign bottles and preparing a downtown parade because they beat the Red Wings. I guess you can't expect much from fans that are too busy celebrating Vladdy's car accident and hating everything about the Wings to even pay attention to their own team, but whatever. Have fun watching other teams in playoffs, Bloozers, because you're pathetic team won't be making it for a long, long time. It's a good thing, too, because if Tkachuk got near the Cup, he'd probably eat it.

LNAH is the greatest league in the world. I wish they'd broadcast games for them in the US, because it'd definitly be a couple hours of good entertainment!
-
McCarty needs to fight someone, because he looks bad. Let's remember something good on his return debut, like him beating the crap out of Jackman!
-
He's been on TSN/NHL Network for a couple of years, at least. Like someone else mentioned, he also works for HD Net's NHL coverage. He did a Flyers/Lightning game not too long ago.
-
I'm not expecting much from this game, but hopefully, there is something. There hasn't been a fight in a Wings game in well over a month, so we're overdue. Go Wings!
-
In a meaningless game against St. Louis, why not? Heck, they'll probably be more productive then anything Hudler has done in the past three months on the 4th line.

Hartigan sucks. I honestly can't believe he's playing regular minutes now. Sometimes I think I could make the Wings roster, because they have so many useless players that don't do a God damn thing, yet for some reason they still get regular minutes. Babcock is a good coach, but seriously: wtf is he thinking sometimes? His lineup decisions are so piss poor, it's not even funny. Hartigan? What the heck does he even bring to the lineup?

Detroit #1 Fan? Wow, it's been a while. Were you banned or something?
-
Not tonight they didn't. It's still mathematically possible that they do make it, but considering that the majority of their remaining games are road games, it seems unlikely. Tonight was a must win game for them, but they couldn't beat Minnesota. They looked really flat, which is surprising, considering how well they've played lately. Oh well. Hopefully they get the 9th seed, for obvious reasons already stated, which involve a certain GM of a certain Pacific Division team.

Tampa vs. Los Angeles Oh... wait a second, that's the Stamkos sweepstakes...

The 05/06 rookie class even BETTER than we thought...

Kunitz is drinking too much of his teams own Kool-Aid. It's amazing how a small, skilled guy has evolved into the cheapshot he's now become. Quite a transition. -

I'd definitly still take Bell, even more so now because he's been so bad the past couple of seasons. That may sound ridiculous, but the fact that the Wings could get a guy who has the potential to score 20-25 goals a season, along with being a physical force on the ice, for dirt cheap would be great. I think he could turn his career around here in Detroit, as he'd be on a team with a good group of players and leaders, something he doesn't have in Toronto. I don't see it ever coming to pass, but if it did, I'd definitly be in favor of it.
