Bertuzzi has fought people before, but he's not a full time enforcer. If he does drop the gloves, it will be for a reason. He's not going to be one of these guys that go out and fight for their own enjoyment.

Ok, I thought so. Thanks.

Another subject for another day. But I will tell you about it if you don't know: The Predators have a clause in their agreement that if they attendance average is lower than 12,000 or something like that, after the 2007-2008 season the team would pack up and move from Nashville. This is why everyone thinks it's so important that Nashville does something this year in the playoffs, which it is. I can't imagine the fans were happy about how they crumpled up last year.

Who works with Kelly now? I heard Bernie Federko is the color commentator now, but I don't know for sure.

Larry Murphy could put a man reading law books to sleep. Nothing against him or anything, but he is not a good commentator. He's boring, and really has no chemistry with Ken Daniels like Mickey does. Verbeek... no. Mickey is much better than Verbeek. Ken Daniels is a little overexitable, but he's still a good commentator. I know we can say things like "Let's have Chris Cuthbert do games", but that is almost impossible to actually happen. He's a great broadcaster, and I love him, but why would he come to the Wings? Do you think he would walk away from TSN, being that he's one of the lead announcers? No, I don't. Same thing with Mike Emerik. He does everything. He's on NBC, VS., and he's the head commentator for the New Jersey Devils. What makes you think he would all of a sudden walk up and come here? I remember watching Dave Strader when I was a kid, and he was always cool. I still watch him when Center Ice has a Panthers game on.

"Canada's Dynasty" - Vancouver Canucks "A hockey friendship" - Matt Barnaby and Lyle Odelein "The team comes first" - Jaromir Jagr, with a special forward by Sergei Fedorov
-
I was mixed about that. I loved Sergei at the time, but he could have been a little less board stiff on the money he wanted. And when he signed him, I thought that was a lot to give him. But it worked out at the present time, and he stayed for a while after that.

What really suprised me ice time wise was seeing Bootland out in the third period. The third! But hey, he played a good game, so good for him.

When it comes right down to it, nobody in the East will need the Wings like teams in the west. In the East, you have Florida, Boston, Long Island, and that's about it for teams that can't fill the building. In the West however, you have Chicago, St. Louis, Phoenix, LA, Columbus (occasionally they do ok in attendance, but majority rules says they don't), Nashville and a couple of others. That's 3 to about 5 or 6 or maybe even more. While I would certainly love to see the Wings play Toronto 8 times a season rather than Columbus, it's not feasable at the present time.

Everyone, including Ken Daniels (watched my tape from last night finally!) kept saying that Samulesson could be ready by the LA Kings game Friday. But if Homer comes back first, I will not complain.

I don't know if he's "The best" but he definitly is in the top 5. He did great at the deadline this year, aquiring the grit that the Wings need for the playoffs. Now, if he gets rid of Lilja, and keeps Bootland up over Langfeld, I may just give him the number one spot! Really though, he deserves it. He did a good job at the deadline, and in many times past. If Bertuzzi comes through, he will be a genious for giving up almost nothing in the process.
-
Ha, that's pretty cool. It's just like the custom arenas back in the old "NHL Hitz" series.
-
O REELY????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11oneone2 I'm just kidding. I see your point. But you do have admit he did do good in the shootout.
-
On the plus side we have a better chance to win. On the minus side people will only think we won because they didn't have Pronger in the lineup.
-
I really don't care if he does drink as time goes on. It makes way for some great quotes! I love Mickey. He's probably my favorite broadcaster. He sense of humor and cool quotes is what really sets him apart from the others.

Franzen has been playing good lately. I wonder if he's found motivation since the trade deadline (which is when he's really picked it up). And yeah, your sig is way too big. It is funny though, and I have no problem pokeing fun at Theo. Just resize it.
-
I heard one boo, which I can't explain. But the whole arena didn't boo. Just because one insensitive bastard was happened to be heard booing doesn't mean each and all of every single Red Wings fan is that way. People blow things way out of proportion sometimes, and I just don't get it.
-
That would most likely be Samulesson.

Good to see the Wings giving Bootland a chance. Maybe he'll continue to play well and crack the roster. I'm confused though. Hussey has played just as well, if not better, than Langfeld, and they keep Langfeld up. While Hussey is not that great, he doesn't miss sure fire goals like Langfeld does. If this keeps up, Josh may very well be the new Jason.

That puts a dent in any playoff plans the Leafs had. Giveaway McCabe will be logging even more minutes then he does now. Hey Mack, on the positive side, this is just one step closer to Ferguson being gone.
-
I listened to the game via radio last night, and I heard the Ozzie chants very well. I got exited for him too, he needed a big win like that! Still have yet to watch my tape, as I'm posting this from work right now. I'll make my final judgement then.

Get well soon Jason.

http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic...0354/1128/rss16 Interesting article. I can't believe Chicago's want for Williams really goes back this far. It looks like over the summer, Dale Tallon only wanted Williams from Detroit. Heh, they got him now. Calder has been really good for the Wings. He has 4 points in 3 games so far, and does a lot of things that Williams didn't do. In the game yesterday, Calder did a good job distracting Budaj which took him out of position for Drapers second goal. I think he was a great pickup, and if he keeps his good play up I think the Wings should re-sign him.

Haven't watched the game yet, so I can't say about Bootland. Too bad he didn't get into a fight like some said though. Anywho, I think he will fight, most likely with Tom K against the Kings. Should be fun.

I taped the game last night, so I'll be watching it when I get home later. Good to here that it was a great atmosphere. I have to also back up what YoungGuns said about FSN making it seem quieter than it really it. When I watched the game on Sunday vs. Colorado, the game seemed pretty lively on NBC. Whenever I see games on FSN though, it always seems quieter. They must turn the microphones down or something.
