So, Cloutier must be in net if they gave up 6 goals eh?
-
I got a 4 out of 7. Of course when I don't pick Carolina to win, they do. Bastards.
-
He'll stay in NY. Nothing against Shanahan or anything, he always was one of my favorites when he played here, but I really don't want him back. The ice time can go to better use for Hudler and Filppula.

Calder was definitly a good pickup. He goes hard in the corners, is good with the puck, and has the potential to put up some decent points. Good overall pickup by Kenny. Can you at least agree he's better than Williams? While Calder is no Fedoruk, he's not a perimeter player like Williams. Williams never went into the corners and got the puck. Calder has done that more in two games than Williams had done with the Wings all season.

Filppula gets a major complement, Wings get insulted.

If the playoffs started today, would the Griffins even be in it? Last time I checked, they were out. -
And who was the goalie during the 98 Cup win? Oh that's right, Osgood. Osgood is not as bad as many seem to think. In fact, not many here (except the diehard Osgood fans) really have any confidence in Osgood. While I am not the first to admit that Osgood is not the greatest goalie in the world, he's not chopped liver either. We'll wait and see what happens. Just play out the situation for now.

Well well, the Leafs win. Still in the hunt (a little anyways).
-
Wow, good job Sid!
-
So Mack, how is the situation in Toronto right now? Has the level of panic gone off the charts yet?
-
Cam Janssen does a pretty good job at being a goon. Doesn't suprise me.
-
No, it means Lilja will be in the lineup. I shall be booing from TV at home.
-
I think Kevin Lowe was afraid to show up.
-
Every form of NHL says the same thing when the Wings and Av's meet: The two teams will look to "renew" their rivalry. Why do they say that? Do people not see that there is no rivalry anymore, and hasn't been one for almost 5 years? I'm getting so tired of seeing this.

That would have been the ultimate trade trifecta. But I respect Nolans decesion to stay where he's at.
-
They could have done it on their first match against Phoenix earlier this season. Yeah, you're probably right though. Had Smyth not been traded, it really wouldn't have mattered.
-
I seen that on there earlier too. They could have been a bit more vague, just for his sake.
-
God damn it. Are you serious? You know what this means... How does Lilja keep getting all this luck to get back in the lineup? After the way he skated away on Tuesday and didn't stick up for Lebda... oh that really fried me. I already hated the guy enough before that, but that made it even worse. Ugh. I wish we had a better 7th defenseman. I think Jason Woolley would be 10 times better than Lilja.
-
Who's idea was it to have this on the day of the trade deadline anyway? Pretty poor ass planning. Still though, it's good for Messier since he was a great player. I feel bad for him though because the game went terrible (Oilers get shutout by Phoenix) there was not very much good emotion because of the Ryan Smyth trade, and it was just an all around bad day there in Edmonton. The fans really laid into it too. They cheered every time the one minute remaining in the period message was said, and booed the Oilers when the game was over. Not to mention that throughout spurts of the game fans cheered "Smitty" for obvious reasons.
-
What's wrong with Chelios? PLEASE NO MORE LILJA! Seriously, it was his lazy ass that blew the shutout on Tuesday. No way in hell Hamilton should have gotten that shot off. I hate you Lilja.
-
I'd say start Howard tonight. The Hawks have barely any firepower, except for Havlat, so we could see how Howard handles himself.
-
Now if Lilja stops being such a *****, something is definitly up. Oh wait, Tuesday already passed, and he still was!
-
I wouldn't mind Howard getting the start tonight, or Sunday. Since we have him up, and neither of the teams we play are powerhouse teams, or hardly even respectable for that matter, we might as well give him a shot.
-
Well guys, everything discussed in the Howard topic will now be put to test in the next few days. In all honesty, and nothing against either of these guys, but a Osgood/Howard tandem really doesn't appeal to me. I just hope Hasek isn't gone too long.

Should be a good game. I'd like to see Filppula put up some points on that first line. Go Wings!
