I don't know why you come so hard on him. I'd rather have Sim than Jason Williams any day of the week.

Perhaps he could be like Kenny Jonsson, except not taken in the first round. I'm still perplexed why the Leafs gave him up so quickly considering it was his first season with them when they traded him.

Take a look You can't argue that he's been pretty good with Atlanta this season. He'd be a good 2nd or 3rd line player that can provide some decent offense.

Hopefully Datsyuk is the one that is gone. Seriously though, we could sign a much better player in Chris Drury (ideal choice, and wishful thinking), and still have room for a few other decent forwards like Jon Sim. We'd actually probably have more cap room with those signings then Datsyuk.

Pssh. And to think he wants 7 million. Looking ahead, the Monday game against the Flyers is not an automatic win. The Wings don't beat Columbus every time they play them either. In fact, I hardly see Columbus as any better then Philly, but somehow Columbus has managed 22 wins while Philly hasn't even made it to 15 yet.

Hamerlik would be an excellent signing. His physical play, along with his offensive ability, makes him a great pickup.

The only time he actually looked good coming out of the net like that was against Rick Nash, and that's because Nash had his completly down (he was looking back because the pass to him was slow). The first time against St. Louis was horrible, and McClement knew he was coming, but lucky for Hasek he lost the puck. The other times... well, you know the story there.

I feel that Chelios deserves an extension. For his age, he is still a very good defensemen. He has made a nice role playing on the PK. Did you all notice how the PK took a slight nosedive when he was out of the lineup earlier for personal reasons? Of course, that's mainly because Lilja get's PK time, and he sucks, but don't you see my point? He's still a very good defensemen, and I'd be glad to have him back for another couple of seasons.

I think he's trying to say that Gretzky is a bad coach. Which is very true. Yzerman's role right now, given whatever job qualities are supposed to come with it, is somewhat limited. Holland, for all intensive purposes, may listen to Yzerman and think about what he says, but he's not going to pull the trigger based directly on what he says. He's on a limited scale right now, so whatever happens won't be a direct result from Yzerman.

That's probably because most ESPN broadcasters don't even like hockey (or at least act like they don't). You have Barry Melrose, and a few others, but that's about it. The main guys on SportsCenter seem more like basketball fans then anything. It seems like they have highlights from every single basketball game that took place the previous night, even if it's two offbeat collage's that nobody even cares about.

Good for Adam Hall, since he was sorta struggling in New York. Actually it would be nice to have him here, but I didn't know he was on the trade block. He is a good physical player. Jim Rutherford was involved with Detroit before. So you know where he gets his instincts from.

Not like it matters. The streak was really getting to the point of annoying after a while anyways. It was like the previous mention earlier of how Ken Daniels has to mention that Dallas Drake was drafted and formally played for the Red Wings. Same basically goes for every other player that played for the Wings at one point or another and is now playing for a different team. Besides, it was going to end sooner or later. Better just deal with it. And by deal with it I mean go make some trades Kenny.

Don't go that far with Kronwall. I don't buy the continoues compliments that seemingly everyone gives him. While he does display some good play in spurts, there are times when he looks really bad. I must be the only one to notice, but don't you all see the amount of givaways he makes trying to make the first pass out of the zone? Usually they aren't too bad, but sometimes they look awful. Kronwall is an ok defenseman, but he's no Chris Pronger.

Mick sure got exited about the scrum with Schneider. Nice to see Schneider playing tough out there (though he does look weird trying to fight).

I'll put money that Babcock will address Lilja as "Lils" at least once while talking to the media. I swear, that is another thing that makes me hate Lilja. That is such a horrible nickname! Babcock almost sounds *** when he says it.
