A former Red Wing? Can't rule anything out with Ken Holland making the deals.
-
That was a real mature response. So you would prefer that Holland sit on his hands and do nothing than go out and get somebody that will help the team?

The consenses of these games is actually *starting* to get a little more interesting. The last game was actually a gritty, down to the wire game. Not to mention Johnson being a dick and nobody doing anything about it. I hope that doesn't happen again tonight. As far as game predictions, I predict someone on the Blues to do something cheap. I don't know who, but I feel it. My sense's point to Petr "Flying Stick" Cajanek. And again, if something does happen, somebody better stand up to whoever does it. I really can't say who will win, because MacDonald is in net. It could go either way.

You're all acting a little weird over this Bertuzzi thing. Here we have a guy, that, is the perfect fit for the Wings. A scoring winger with toughness and grit. Yet we are complaining about him because of something he did to a player that didn't even play for the Wings. I understand that it was dirty, and yes I think he's a rotten bastard for what he did to Steve Moore, but he's realisticly the only choice we got right now. I hate to break it to you, but Shane Doan is not coming here. He's already in contract talks of an extension with Phoenix. He's the face of that franchise. I see no way they would trade him. It's hard to swallow, but Bertuzzi is the best option right now. Besides, it's not like we have to keep when the season ends anyways. Though if he plays well enough it might be a good idea to keep him.

I heard he was taken to the hospital. Guess who's (unfourtantly) back in the lineup now?
-
Hmm, usually Darren Dreger doesn't bulls***, so there could be some truth to this. At least it's not from Eklund.
-
Yeah! Great win boys! 11 home wins in a row. That is great!
-
Wow Joseph. WHAT A DIVE!
-
Zetterberg. Edit: 5 on 3! Let's get another one!

Welcome to LGW. AND THE WINGS JUST BROKE THE TIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is with Eklund and pulling Columbus players right out of a hat? Berard coming here? Last week it was Zherdev to Montreal. Before that it was Leclaire to Minnesota. Where does he get this stuff?
-
So you think that was a good play?
-
Err, Hasek again with the same play. You could see that Doan clearly had his head up when it happened. He needs to think better. Oh well, we'll get 'em back. Go Wings!

Knuble signed an extension with the Flyers earlier this season. With all the murmers of the Flyers having a fire-sale at the trade deadline, Knuble's name hasn't been mentioned as one that would be traded. Gagne would be the more likely choice.

The last fight could be Mark Rycroft vs Draper. Though that is still a pretty bad fight.

Niinimaa used to be a really good defenseman. I can't believe he's regressed so badly in a period of a few years. It was when he was traded to the Islanders is when it really started. At the time the Islanders had Aucoin, Jonsson, and Hamerlik, which basically meant Niinimaa's minutes were being cut back from a #1 d-man to a #4 or 5 d-man. I don't know what happened to him, but he used to be good.
-
I remember last year he was selected to go in a shootout. He was skating very slow, and ended up losing the puck or something. After that, Leafs fans found a quick hating for him. I always thought he was a good player, and actually was kinda hoping the Wings would sign him. He's been a pretty consistant scorer when he's healthy, and he's not really that old either. I don't know what'll happen with him.
-
Finally he's out of the west. This also ends the idiotic rumors of him coming back here (which I could not stand one bit of).
-
If we get someone for Datsyuk, that'd be great. But if he just left on his own after the season, I wouldn't cry in my beer over it. Hank already put it forward: He can't play without an elite player along side him. We don't need that here. We can spend about 7 million in 3 or 4 players that can equal his talent, and score in the playoffs. It's as simple as that.

Good, the Colts won. The things the Bears fans did when they played the Saints was disgusting. They didn't deserve to win after that.
-
That is a horrible idea. Avery is one of the stupidest players in the league. If he came here, he'd fight people for his own entertainment, not to protect anyone. He doesn't care about anyone but himself. Listen to the way he talks about people (including his own teamates) to the media. I'll surely pass on this one.
-
One problem with Vs. is the fact they only do games on Monday and Tuesdays. This is even worse then you might think, because Monday in particuler is a good TV for shows other then hockey (24!). There is a pretty extensive list of popular shows that are on Monday and Tuesday, and the NHL really doesn't stand much of a chance.
-
I'd take this guy in a heartbeat. He's the perfect example of a player that Holland continues to talk about to the media. But the chances of getting him are very small.
-
Of course, no rumors on the Wings getting anybody tough like that. WHAT A SUPRISE!

The Wings - Avalanche rivalry has been dead for a long time now. Forsberg doesn't even play for the Av's directly anymore anyways. Nobody liked Chelios before, and look where he is now? Same exact thing.
