I voted Montreal. They are loud, passionate, and some of the best fans in the game.

Hopefully McCarty and Downey both play on a line together. I doubt it'll happen, but it would still be cool.

I have a friend who's a season ticket holder, so I could go if I want (he rarely ever uses his tickets for his own personal use). It's just a matter of me being able to take off of work, drive the two hours from Bridgeport/Bay City down to Detroit, and be able to make it in time for the game. I'd like to go to at least one more game this season, since I've only been to one so far (the home opener against Anaheim). I'm aiming for one of the April games, and, it'll most likely the April 6th game against Chicago. It's the most realistic time for me to be able to make, since I can plan in advance.

Kopecky is weak and brittle. That is why everyone goes after him. Hockey players do their research. Heck, Alex Burrows knew Downey had a potato farm, meaning he probably reads MLive. These guys all have internet access, and they all know their opponent. I'm sure guys are aware Kopecky has quickly become injury prone, especially players on the other Central Division teams. It's either that, or Kopecky likes to talk trash, and given the fact that he doesn't speak good English, it probably pisses people off that this European, who never fights, is going around talking s***. It could go either way, or it could be something else nobody even knows about. Who only knows; whatever the case, I'm not a Kopecky fan by any stretch, and really wouldn't be disappointed if he was out of the lineup. With him out, both Downey and McCarty are in, meaning more physical play and more entertainment.

Brad Stuart = I'm very happy he's a Red Wing. I hope the Wings make a serious attempt to re-sign him, because if they do, they'll have an excellent top 4 on defense for years to come.

Grr... I completely forgot about this! Hopefully I can do good enough on Saturday and Sunday that I can still make up for the five games I missed today. There are plenty of games this weekend, so I could still get a good score, if I do good enough (I actually did do good last week, so anything is possible). Saturday: Washington @ Boston Dallas @ Colorado Montreal @ Los Angeles Ottawa @ Phoenix New Jersey @ Toronto NY Islanders @ Philadelphia Buffalo @ Carolina Atlanta @ Florida St Louis @ Vancouver Sunday: Pittsburgh @ Washington Edmonton @ Chicago Boston @ NY Rangers Nashville @ Detroit Tampa Bay @ Columbus San Jose @ Minnesota Montreal @ Anaheim Colorado @ Dallas

Riley Cote vs. Andre Roy This is an interesting developing story. Cote wins this fight with an obvious beatdown, but it doesn't stop there. Later on in the game, the Flyers arena staff plays the fight on the scoreboard video during a commercial break; the entire Flyers bench then proceeds to laugh at Roy for getting beat so badly. Roy then becomes enraged, and things get interesting. He then goes after the Flyers players for making fun of him, needing to be restrained by Tampa coach John Tortorella. Now, today, it is reported by TSN that Roy has been suspended from the team (or isolated, as they put it in another report) because of the incident. According to comments by Tampa GM Jay Feaster, Roy will be suspended for the teams next two games (see the entire transcript, though there is not much, below): This whole situation is all pretty interesting, to say the least. The most amazing thing of this story, though? Riley Cote actually won a fight, and it was a KO no less. I have nothing against Cote, and I admire his willingness, but he's really become a punching bag this season. It was a bit surprising to see him take down a pretty established enforcer so easily like he did. I don't really think Roy is that great, but I'd expect that he'd do better than that (he did in the first fight between the two). Roy let up for a split second, and Cote took full advantage the 2nd time around. I give him a lot of credit for a strong showing. ...and yes, if one of the broadcasters calling the fight sounds familiar, that is indeed Larry Murphy, who works for the NHL on HDNET in his spare time I guess. Who would've thought?

In the year 2012, Samuelsson will score 50 goals, and 200 points. How's that for bold? I think the predictions of the world ending that year will happen before Samuelsson reaches a milestone mark like that.

Sounds like it was a decent game. Always nice to beat the divisional teams. Anyone know if FSN is playing a replay later on tonight? Sometimes they'll replay it at like 2:00 A.M. or something. I'd like to record it, since I didn't get the chance to earlier. 'Twas a busy day for me, more than I can stand!

Sure, as long as the Wings aren't involved. Sorry, but listening to a thousand "Red Wings suck!!!1" chants during a regular Blackhawks game is bad enough. Playing it outdoors, with more people watching, will be even more annoying. I'd have to watch it on Mute the whole time. Besides, if the Wings do play an outdoor game, I'd rather have it be here locally in Michigan. This dying state needs something for publicity, among other things, and I think an outdoor game would help.

I know, he's still a rookie. I think he'll be a great defenseman in about 2-3 years down the road. On another note, I'm very disappointed in Babcock for playing Lebda. Why did he play him? I'm as much a Meech critic as many others on here, and you all know I don't think much of him, but he's played pretty good lately, and a hell of a lot better than Lebda. I seriously think Babcock is the only coach in the league who does not bench players for poor play. I mean, the only regular in the lineup he's benched this year is Kopecky, and that was once. You seriously can't tell me Lebda, with as bad as he's played lately, deserved to be in the lineup more than Meech. Oh well. Not like my ranting will ever change anything...

How is it that so many people don't have access to the game? I thought when the NHL Network was finally coming to the US, it would be available for everyone. DirecTV has it, which is good. I don't know if I'll be able to watch the game tonight, so I'll probably DVR it and watch some other time.

That is very pleasing news. The Wings better lock Cleary up as long as they possibly can. He means so much to this team; you've all seen the direction they've gone without him. Hopefully the Wings sign him soon.

Apparently, the English language can flow like water if you speak it good enough.

I'd take Avery back in a second. No doubt in my mind. He'd finally add some secondary scoring to this team, and give the Wings some offensive depth on that putred 2nd line, and his attitude on the ice would be perfect when playing the team like the Ducks. I've wanted Avery back ever since the Wings got rid of him, and still very much do. He'd bring a mixture of elements that the Wings lack, and I guarentee that even his biggest critics would eventually like him again if the Wings signed him.

The Leafs are the dumbest team around. They should be tanking these games to get a better shot at landing Stamkos. Screw pride; when it comes to the long term situation being better, you have to suck now. It's not a given that they'd get the #1 overall and draft Stamkos, but there are still a ton of other good prospects that they could get in the top five, regardless if they don't get the #1 overall pick. That team will never go anywhere for a long time... and you can thank that to the inept management that gave useless scrubs like Bryan McCabe, Darcy Tucker, and the LGW.com ideal trade deadline acquisition, Pavel Kubina, long term contracts with no-trade clauses, making them all unmoveable dead-weight salaries that'll be there clogging up the roster for years and years to come.

Sweet! Hopefully, this is the beginning stage of the Wings steadily showing Lebda the door, and soon getting rid of him. Watching him play these past couple weeks really shows how expendable he is, and how much the Wings don't need any morea players like him. Ericsson hasn't overly impressed me, but I like his size, and he seems to have good potential. I'm starting to wonder if he'll earn himself a spot on the team as early as next year. Hopefully the Wings do the right thing and get rid of Lilja, and Lebda as well, and that should open up a spot for him, if he plays well.

When you look at what Florida got in return, then consider that Datsyuk was actually rumored there, you really have to wonder just how stupid a person could be... Of course, this is Mike Keenan we're talking about...

Wait a second... Adam Foote had a good name? You mean the same cheapshotting loser that was just as much a villian as Claudia and Ricci actually had a good name? News to me!

It's too bad the Bruins are such an otherwise boring team, in the sense that they trap all the time. Their still pretty entertaining when it comes to fights, though, so I try to watch them when I can.

I'm very happy with a 16. I actually almost won a week. Could this be the turning point in my season? Congrats to the winner!

There's an obvious reason for that... basketball sucks! I don't know... maybe it's because I've never played it as a kid, or was ever any good at it, but I loathe the sport like you wouldn't believe. It's only exiting in the last final minutes; the rest is just trivial details. I mean, didn't the Pistons blow a 24 point lead or something the other day? That's what I heard anyways. It doesn't matter, since basketball still, for some reason, get's better national media coverage. I don't see what these networks like ESPN and such see in it, because I think it's one of the most boring sports around.

This team only drafts Swedes my friend. LOL!
