Haha, I thought the same thing. Keane is a dustbag now. I really can't believe he's still going, especially considering the style of game he plays. I mean, yeah, Chelios is still going too, but that's a different story. I commend Keane that he's still play, though considering he was part of the Wings - Av's rivalry, I still hate the bastard.

Ugh. That's a terrible rumor. The Wings are already going to bring back McCarty, so I don't see why Lapointe would also be brought back. Unless Holland's goal is to bring back the 97-98 Cup teams or something. Lapointe has been rumored here a lot, so I don't really believe it. And quite frankly, I don't want to believe it either, because Lapointe sucks.

I think the Wings were after him before when he was a free agent, but I'm not really sure. If the price was the same for Salei or Stuart, I'd definitly take Salei. Don't get me wrong: I really like Brad Stuart, and it would be great to have both him and Salei at the same time, since they both address particular needs (Salei a physical, stay at home defenseman, while Stuart is a good all around player, both of whom provide great depth), but if I could only choose one of the two, I'd probably take Salei. The Wings desperately need a physical player on their blueline. The Wings defense is way too soft, and when Lilja is your toughest defenseman, you know there's problems. It'd be great if the Wings could get both Salei and Stuart, like I said, because both would be great additions that would address certain needs this team has on defense. Depth is the biggest issue, which the Wings really need. I don't think it will happen, but I'm hopeful it does.

You put that way on the side of extreme. Hockey is not that popular in Atlanta, and from what I hear, the local media barely covers it at all. This is despite the fact that every other Atlanta sports team sucks, and the Thrashers are probably the best ones there.

The Wings are a bunch of ******* women. Their getting their asses kicked, yet just sit around and take it. Any other team in the league would be out looking for blood, but no, not the ******* ***** ass Red Wings.

They did shut out Colorado. The real reason is the loss of Cleary. If the Wings had more charecter guys, it wouldn't be an issue, but they don't. The Wings have too many ******* robot personalities that have no leadership qualities whatsoever. Half of this ******* team can't even speak the English language anyways. ...and yeah, that last comment was a direct stab at the Europeans. ******* sue me.

Holmstrom hasn't gotten into a fight in over 10 years. Don't expect him to start now.

The Wings better ******* make a trade soon. I really, really hope this is Hudler, Samuelsson, Lilja, and Lebda's last ******* game on this team, because I can't stand watching these ******* idiots anymore.

Right, because both Samuelsson and Lebda have both played such great hockey lately. They don't deserve the bashing they get, because their both great players that the Wings couldn't survive without, right?

The Wings still need something better on that 2nd unit, though. They will not survive in the playoffs with only one scoring line and only one decent PP unit.

Hudler, Franzen, and Filppula should NOT be on the PP. The Wings need a forward, badly. They need at least 2-3 defenseman, badly. They need so much, and they need it all so much that I have absolutely no faith in this team going into the playoffs.

These refs suck. They need to stop giving the Wings PP's now, because it's becoming absolutley brutal. The Wings second PP unit is so God awful, it's not even funny. Samuelsson blows. I pray that he's off this roster by the deadline, because if he's still here during the playoffs, I'm going to scream.

Considering that the minor leaguers are all playing better than the two regulars, Lebda and Lilja, they are not the problems here. Lebda ******* blows. Get rid of him NOW. I can't wait to see his final giveaway total at the end of the game. He's so ******* bad. Also, why are the Wings not playing Garratt Stafford? I heard he only was given 2 minutes of ice time in the 1st period, and has not gotten a shift at all in this period. Bench ******* Lebda, because he's playing awful tonight. I'd like to see Stafford start getting his minutes, to see what he can do.

It's not you, it's the numerous other people on this forum that are too blinded by their own personal hate for him. Some of the people who have even gone as far as to say Burke is as bad a GM as JFJ was before he was fired in Toronto are mainly who I'm talking about. I'm not saying Burke is a great GM or anything, but he knows what he's doing. I don't agree with the way he runs things one bit, but he still knows how to do so. He's not some incompatant moron that can't even complete daily tasks, like many point him out to be on here. I hate Burke a lot. He's my least favorite GM in the league, and I think he's a f***ing ass. But, he still knows how to manage a hockey team; I won't deny that.

Do you even have to ask me that? I think if you look at my post history, you'll know. ...and if you choose not to do that, I'd much rather have Downey. The Wings have enough Hudler type players. Who else on the Wings roster fights beside Downey? Drake? Give me a break.

He's absolutely terrible. People are now starting to see what I've seen in Lebda all along. He's a very overrated defenseman on this forum. The Wings need to get rid of him, and give Ericsson or Quincey his spot. I'd even take Garrett Stafford over him, because Stafford is a good minor league scorer.

I understand that, but if this is any indication of what's going to happen every time he get's in a slump, then I don't want him around. When he's not scoring, he's the most out of place player on the roster. He's very one-dimensional; he can put up points, but can't do anything else. It's like having an enforcer who doesn't fight. What else does he bring to the table if he's not fighting?

Datsyuk get's credit for the Wings goal, so Meech does not score his 1st NHL goal. Too bad. I don't really like Meech, but it would have been nice for him to get his 1st.

Wow. As much as everyone hates to admit it, Brian Burke does know what he's doing. I'm not riding his coattails or anything, but it's unbelievable the amount of people on this forum that act like he got his GM job out of a cereal box. I hate Burke, but he knows how to manage an NHL team. Yeah, he's made some bad trades (McDonald for Weight, Bryzgalov for nothing), but he is still a decent GM in the NHL.

Uh huh, because his 0 goals in 17 games is something we definitly want to keep. If that's really the case, then don't expect a single move by Holland at the deadline. To get players, you have to give up players, and if he isn't going to give anyone up, then he's not going to get anything either.

Haha, Meech scored I guess. Didn't see it. My TV has gone to s***, which I'm really disappointed about, especially after seeing the pre-game scuffle. I'll probably go for a drive and listen on the radio now, or just rely on you guys for updates, since I'm pretty much out of options.
