Do you really think that's going to happen, though? I can almost guarantee that the league will take one look at Detroit's overall record and say "Why should you guys care? You're already miles away better than every other team in the league". I would love to see those refs be fined, or punished in some sort of way, but the NHL is such a spineless league that they won't do anything about it. I'd be very surprised to see anything come out of this. Public outcries mean nothing to the league. If they did, perhaps there wouldn't have been a lockout 3 seasons ago that nearly destroyed hockey, and in the long run, solved none of the problems that initially caused it in the first place (player salaries, and small market teams not being able to afford them).

It's been that long? Wow, I can't believe it. I thought Fischer fought Barnaby not too long ago before his heart problem, but maybe I'm thinking of somebody else. I still can't believe it's actually been that long.

Downey did great against Parros! I'm surprised he did so well against an established heavyweight like that. He really controlled that fight. Great job by Downey. I've been waiting to see him take control of a fight this season, and he picked a great guy to do it against as well. Too bad it didn't spark the Wings to a win, but it almost did.

What a waste of my f***ing time. I hate Anaheim so much. Giguere especially. He must have taken lessons from Hasek, because that was some of the best acting I've ever seen. At least the Downey vs. Parros fight was good... about the only positive from that game.

Same way I felt about it. I can't believe he's actually done for the rest of the season. That is such a huge loss to the team. Holland better do something at the deadline now, as the Wings are in dire need of secondary scoring with Cleary going down like that.

Avery should come back and sign with the Wings. Then, instead of worrying about Flyers fans, he can worry about Blues, Hawks, and Preds fans instead.

I live up in Bay City, so I don't have any of those channels. I'm surprised you get Global. It's actually not a bad channel. Their sorta like the TBS or TNT of Canada.

Actually, CBC is the only Canadian channel available in Michigan, which is a shame. I'd love to be able to have TSN here in the states, because they have such great hockey coverage.

The Battle of Alberta always has some great fights in it. That is one division rivalry that will never get old. Nobody tell Bettman that, though, because...

Hey, that's a great way to look at it actually. If the Wings win tomorrows game, but completely blow the Western Conference road trip, that could actually be the best thing to happen to this team. I want trades, and lot's of them. There are too many players on the Wings that I just cannot stand, because their so useless, and plus it makes the season more interesting.

Wow, he's out for a ridiculous amount of time. That's really a shame, too, because Cleary is one of my favorite player, and has been great this season. Oh well. This should presuade Holland even more to make a move at the deadline now, or even before. We'll see what all comes to pass because of this.

My assumption is it's because Burke hates Detroit, and wants everything he can to put the Wings away. No, he's never come out publicly and said that, but back when he used to Vancouver's GM, he'd constantly ***** about how Detroit has an unfair advantage over the rest of the league because they sign guys to big money contracts, while Vancouver can't. Even though teams like Toronto and Philly do the same thing, he always bitched about Detroit, and only Detroit. Besides, I wouldn't really say that Anaheim wants every player that Detroit wants... I mean, look at the contrasting styles between the two teams, and you'll see that Holland and Burke's perseption of what to look for in players differs greatly.

But didn't you hear Lou? He's the one player who can put the Wings over the top! His perfect combination of size, speed, scoring ability, and defensive play are what the Wings need!!! ...oh, wait a minute... I'm reading Fedorov's bio from 10 years ago... don't know if any of those attributes can be linked to him now...

Holland contacted Lang's agent, Petr Svoboda, last summer and told him the Wings weren't going to offer Lang a contract. If the Wings didn't want Lang at that point, then why would they all of a sudden now want him back now, and have to give up valuable assets for him? It doesn't make any sense at all. I don't think he'll be back, and hopefully, he isn't. Lang may have scored some critical goals for the Wings, but he still didn't live up to the potential that he should have.

That kid looks like he's younger than 10 years old! If I wasn't able to get away with that kind of stuff at his age, then why should he? Not fair...

Don't throw that s*** at me. I rammed on Osgood just as much after the Kings game. I don't favor either Detroit goalie. If they play well, I'll throw them compliments, but when they suck (like Hasek did tonight, and Osgood did on Thursday) then I'm not going to hold back.

Wow, the Wings sure picked a good time to lose, in the game that has a media frenzy coming out of every imaginable corner. Hasek absolutley sucked ass tonight. What the hell is problem? I swear, if the Hasek lovers come on here and support him after that horrendous effort, and say we're all wrong like usual, this board will officially have the biggest homers in the world. That was a bad hockey game, regardless. I was expecting something much more interesting than what I seen tonight. No exiting plays, no fights, no nothing. That game goes down as the worst f***ing game I've seen in a while. Blah, what a waste of time.

CBC. It reminds me of the good old days when the Wings and Leafs still played each other more than one time every 10 years... thanks Gary!

Samuelsson for Fedorov straight up? Hey, I'd take it. I'm one of the biggest non-Fedorov supporters on this team, but when it comes down to it, I still like Fedorov for what he brought to the Wings in the past. For as much as I disagree with what Fedorov did, he's still a nice guy, and I've met him personally before. Plus, he's still a better player than Samuelsson, if anything. I just hope that if the Wings do get him, they don't stop there and say "yeah, that's our big deadline deal" because that would irritate the hell out of me. The Wings need defense more than anything, especially because Kronwall's return date keeps getting pushed later and later back. The original timetable had him coming back this coming week, now it's looking more and more like the end of the month. Brad Stuart, Steve Montador, McCarty, and Fedorov (for cheap, mind you) sounds like a great deadline to me. If the Wings aquired all four of these guys, I'd be quite happy.
