Samulesson, Meech, and a 3rd for Luongo? MAKE IT HAPPEN KENNI!!!1

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=222586&hubname=nhl Not very interesting news, but somehow I felt the need to point this out. Discuss. Or not.

Wait for it... ... Samulesson, Meech, and a 3rd for Pavelec. There it is!
-
Let's go trade Datsyuk for Vinny!!!1!1
-
Oh, I'm fine with that. At least Kings fans are actually alive at their games, some of them anyways, where as the fans of a certain team I'm thinking of with red as their primary color are not... ...and if you guessed the New Jersey Devils as the team I'm talking about, you are correct!
-
Why is Kopecky not on the orignal ballot? This is shameful! Of course, he can still win as a write-in vote. Tom Dobbs did in "Man of the Year". How did I not think of such a cool and insulting, yet also simple and obvious, nickname like that? You sir are a political genius, even if that was (and probably is) just a grammar mistake.
-
So... they were beating them up over when their team was winning anyways? I guess those sellout crowds can be dandy's from what I hear. Wouldn't know myself, because our team hasn't had one of those in a while... *shot*

Good fight between Nystrom and Roarke in the Battle of Alberta tonight. I give Roarke the edge, although Nystrom did get in some good shots.

Samulesson, Meech, and a 3rd for Sundin. MAKE IT HAPPEN KENNI!!!1!1 Sorry, but because this thread has mysteriously lacked the usual stupid trade proposal, I threw my hat into the mix. Just because I care.

Heh, I'm not good on any nights. 5-11 for me tonight, which really sucks again. Well... it's official I'm not going to win this week either. Another weekend chalked full of upsets. The bad teams need to stop winning and start losing, for my sake!

I watched it, and I laughed through the whole thing. I was almost stunned that Dallas just completely rolled over and died, and it all happened in a span of 5 minutes. Good for the Kings fans. 1st sellout of the season for them, and they certainly got their money's worth tonight. Kings are looking half-way solid this year. Great finish by them tonight.

... ...1-6 last night... ...
-
That is such a horribly obvious statement.

*gasp* Do I smell a goaltending controversy? As Loo would say, only if the fans make it one. Solid game by everyone on the Wings tonight. Cleary is quickly becoming my favorite player on the Wings. To come back from being hit in the face with a puck and put together a solid game like that really shows you something. I'm really impressed by his play. Z played great today also, and it's nice to see him continue his torrid scoring pace. He's really an amazing hockey player. ...and I'll even give credit to a couple of my favorite whipping boys, Dom Hasek and Tomas Kopecky. Solid game by both of you tonight, as was the case for everyone. Good game all around tonight. Hopefully we take the 'Hawk's serious this time around come Sunday.

I would love to have Sundin, but I highly doubt it'll happen. It was probably just Dreger either speculating, or stirring the pot. He's an analyst, and that's what he's paid to do.
-
Good post Lou. We do still have Drake, but he's totally useless with a shield on. I wish the Wings would keep Downey in the lineup until he get's that thing off.
-
I'd like to see Cloutier in the All-Star Game. For comical purposes, of course. I would start the campaign, but you have to actually play in the NHL to play in the All-Star Game, if you know what I mean.
-
Downey isn't that bad of a skater. I'd actually consider Kopecky the worst skater on the team, because he seems to do more falling on the ice than skating.
-
Don't rain on my parade like that. The "what's to stop Chris Chelios?" posts have become a mainstay here at LGW. All of which can be attributed to the great sirdrake.

The Wings prospect well is running very dry. They simpily don't have the resources to give up for someone like Hossa. The only trade I can forsee would be something like Kronwall, Filppula, Kindl, 1st round pick, and a few other lower round draft picks for Hossa straight up. That's way too much to give up for an unmotivated, soft, overpaid player like Hossa. I really don't care for the guy that much, especially considering his constant lack of motivation in the playoffs. If he can't find some way to motivate himself into playing good when it counts, than I really can't see why it would be worth trading 3/4 good prospects, draft picks, and than have to give a huge contract after all that. If he was playing better this season, I might be a little more in favor of him, but Hossa has simpily blew all season long. It's basically a one-man show in Atlanta with Kovalchuk, and not a 1-2 punch like it should be. Really, if possible, I'd like to focus on someone like Kovalchuk, even though that's not really a good possibility. These are all just rumors right now anyways. A trade of this magintude won't happen until near the trade deadline, and that's only if Atlanta is truely out of the race.

I can forsee tonight being a very boring game. Columbus is a very boring team that plays the classic Hitchcock "trap" style of hockey that is enough to put a rock to sleep, and Leclaire has been a wall this season. The Wings might surprise me, but I don't see this being a very high scoring game. Plus, no Downey = no fights. Boo.

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=222452&hubname=nhl Not major news, but worth noting anyways. Hopefully this is a sign that trade season is starting to pick up, and there's more movement in the coming days.

Weren't you rooting for Ottawa during last year's SCF?
