As for Lilja: it would please me if he was sent off somewhere and the Wings bring up Quincey or Brad Ference to replace him. We need consistant grit on the blueline, not the once in a blue moon grit that Lilja brings occasionally. Quincey or Ference would be good upgrades in my opinion.

Yes. Having Zetterberg and Datsyuk on the same line will force guys like Hudler to step it up with more minutes. Plus, those two have chemistry that you just can't find anymore. They need to stay together. They are, by far, one of the most dynamic scoring tandem's in the league. If Zetterberg stays healthy, he could easily top 100 points playing with Datsyuk.

Game, set, match. Good game tonight. This one was much more entertaining then Monday's game. No fights or anything, but the overall play was better by the Wings.

Touche. It's a different situation though. The Predators actually have affordable tickets for the average middle-class family. Unlike the Wings, who force you to shell out a home loan just to bring your family to a hockey game and have a good time. ...and before you comment about the Wings supposed $9 tickets, those are nothing more than a myth. They are horribly obstructed seats, located in the far, far end corners of the arena. There are only about 200 or so of them also, which isn't very many in a sports arena with over 20,000 seats in it. I won't deny the Wings attedance problems one bit, but you can't compare it to Nashville's. The Predators charge decent prices for tickets, and have a fan friendly organization that markets and shares it's players with the fans, not hide them in caves like the Wings do. It's ridiculous how out of touch the Wings organization is with the fans. It's saddening in a way. Plus, Nashville's economy isn't nearly as bad as Detroit's or Michigan's in general. Michigan is dead last in jobs, and is 1st in home foreclosures. That's a pretty dubious ranking to be in. But, it's a variety of factors that lead to the Wings not selling out games. Just as it is for the Predators, so it's similar in some cases.

Wow. That almost made me laugh. Not because it's funny, but because how ridiculous it sounds hearing fans boo during a moment of silence when a guy just died. Honestly though, I expect nothing less from Chicago sports fans. These are the same people who were holding up posters last year saying "Finishing off what Katrina started" when the Bears played the Saints in the NFL playoffs. These are the same guys that threatened to kill Steve Bartman because of what happened in the Cubs game, even though there were still innings left to be played. These people are ridiculous. While I'll say that nobody is as bad as a Philadelphia sports fan, Chicago sports fans are a close second.

Expect the expected in this case. Usually any game that involves "division rivals" as they so call it will be like this in the GDT's. Fans of other teams in the Central Division seem to think the Wings and whatever team that it is are rivals, so they come in and trash talk for hours on end. It's just as bad with the Preds and the Blues fans. But I disgress: the Wings have no rivals anymore, unless you honestly count Nashville as a rivalry. Even then, the lack of spirited and entertaining play between the Wings and most teams is lacking, therefore, those teams are not our rivals. It's all these peoples heads, if you ask me.
