Everyone's so quick to jump to conclusions around here. Samsonov has practiced with WIngs players before - he's lived in Detroit since his NHL career began. It's easier for him just to practice somewhere close for him. Horcoff is interesting, but I believe he also has a home in Michigan, and also went to MSU back when he was younger. There's a logical explaination. So, in short: don't be expecting any blockbuster trades or anything.

Neither of them are getting a whole lot of ice time. Emmerton has looked pretty good in the games he's played so far. No, he's not scoring a whole lot, but he looks like he could be a defensivily responsible player while also being an offensive-minded player, which is great considering he's a goal-scorer anyways. Given more ice time, he could be an excellent two-way threat, both offensivily and defensivily. I'd like to see what he could do on a 1st or 2nd line. Pyett doesn't stand out, but he's getting even less ice time. He's got a ways to go as it is. Oh, and by the way: I can't believe how bad Russia is. They've just rolled over and died this whole series. Cherepanov couldn't have been that big of a loss: he wasn't do anything before he got hurt. I expected Russia to a lot better. Oh well, I want Canada to win anyways. This should also be good for Grapes' ego and those "good Canadian boys".

How about we kill Leyland first. Then, while we're at it, we might as well kill the whole damn team. Today's game was just ridiculous. Far none.

Wow. I'm absolutely speechless. I'm about ready to say f*** it. Seriously. How in their right minds do they blow a 7-0 lead to a team that's 9 games out of the playoffs, and has a losing record? Where is the consistancy with this team? Why can't Todd Jones actually close a game? Why is Leyland such a God damn idiot that he doesn't pull him out before he completely blows it? Why can't we even win two games in a row for once? I can't even remember the last time we did. No chance in hell this team wins the division, and they'll be damn lucky to even make the playoffs.

Yay. We won today. Verlander looked good, for once, and the hitting was great today. I suggest Leyland start taking notes or something on these games we win. Notice whenever Raburn is put in, he produces. It confidens me to wonder why he doesn't play more, especially when Thames is usually the one put in instead, and he sucks compared to Raburn. Oh well, at least we won. Only problem is New York also won, but Seattle lost, which is good.

This exact reason is why getting Bonds would be a bad thing. I have gone on record many times to express my distaste for Bonds. Some fans actually look at that man as a hero, which I think is totally ridiculous. Not only because of the steroids, but because of the pedestal he puts himself on, and his extreme arrogance. Just watch what he does when he's interviewed. If you're not a Giants fan, I can guarantee that you'll want to punch him in the throat. Now, with that rant over, it's time for more pressing matters at hand. Like the Tigers losing to, once again, a non-playoff team. Normally I'd be a lot more mad then I am now, but thankfully Seattle and NY Yankees have both been losing just as much lately, so we still have a chance. That goes without saying: we still can't lose to crappy teams like Oakland. We need all the wins we can get at this point.

They've been trying to force this logo in for years now. What originally started off as a seldom used 3rd jersey became their main logo. I hate it, to be honest. The league needs more differation. Heck, all the teams websites already look the same, now teams all want to be the same color. When the Blues change their main colors to red, look out. The league needs more green. Minnesota shouldn't have changed, and neither should Phoenix for that matter. I loved the old green Coyotes logo. Not that it matters now anyways. Before you know it, every team will be a carbon copy of one another and be exactly the same. edited for grammar

That organization makes me laugh. They know very well fans like the orange a lot better than the black, yet they still use the black more often. I like black on some teams, but on Philly it just sucks. The orange is way better.

I meant in the Wings organization, not NHL in general. I should have clarified that better. If he's the 6th best, I'd just rather play him now. He's already better than Lilja and Lebda, and arguably Kronwall. I don't see why he can't play now.

That'll happen anyways, because if he is assigned to Grand Rapids I can guarantee you he will take effect to his "out-clause" and immediately go back to Russia. It happened last year with two players: Alexei Kaigorodov (Ottawa) and Envir Lisen (Phoenix). Grigorenko should get Kopecky's spot, if anyone. Hopefully he works out for the best: we badly need a top 6 forward.

Certain FSN markets have hockey shows geared towards their own team. Example: Shark Bite on FSN Bay Area, which is a half-hour show about the Sharks.

Hah. I wish there was a defenseman as good as Kindl while also being that size. Kindl is 6'2, which is still great size, and will come in handy back on the blueline. I'm getting very exited to see what this kid can do. I'd like to see him make the team right out of training camp, but that's more just wishful thinking at this point. Guys like Lilja and Meech unfourtantly stand in his way. Hopefully he does get into a few games next year, so we can see what he looks like in an actual NHL game. He did look good in his pre-season games last year, so hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

Offense: 2 Defense: 5 Goaltending: 4 Physicality: 1 Powerplay: 2 Penaltykilling: 5 Clutch: 3-5 Coaching: 5 I'm not a very nice grader for some catagories, as you can see. Not to discredit the our top line, but their the only thing we got. We have basically no scoring after that. Physicality get's a low rating from me for obvious reasons. The PP was very bad last year, and with no major signings up front, I don't see it changing just in a seasons time. Sorry. With that criticizm aside, I still think the Wings will be a good team next year, because we have a great defense and a great goalie. So don't accuse me of being a jerk or anything like that.

Koopmans re-signed for one more year. When did McGrath ever leave? I understand he has his problems, and is criticized a lot, but I never knew the Wings got rid of him.
